1Entonces Bildad el suhita respondió y dijo:
2¿Cuánto tiempo pasará antes de que hayas terminado de hablar? muestren entendimiento, y luego diremos lo que está en nuestras mentes.
3¿Por qué parecemos bestias y estúpidos ante tus ojos?
4Tu crees que en tu enojo, que te estás desgarrando con rabia, ¿la tierra será desierta por tu culpa, o se moverá una roca de su lugar?
5Porque la luz del pecador se apaga, y la llama de su fuego no brilla.
6La luz está oscura en su casa, y la luz que brilla sobre él se apaga.
7Los pasos de su fuerza se vuelven cortos, y caerá en su propia trampa.
8Sus pies lo llevan a la red, y él va caminando por las cuerdas.
9Su pie es tomado en la red; él entra en su agarre.
10La cuerda se pone secretamente en la tierra para atraparlo, y la cuerda se coloca en su camino.
11Lo superan los miedos por todos lados, lo persiguen a cada paso.
12Su fuerza es debilitada por la necesidad de comida, y la destrucción está esperando su paso.
13Su piel es desperdiciada por una enfermedad, le devora la carne poco a poco; él primogénito de la muerte.
14Lo desarraigan de su tienda donde estaba a salvo, y se lo llevan al rey de los temores.
15En su tienda se verá lo que no es suyo, azufre se deja caer sobre su casa.
16Bajo la tierra, sus raíces están secas, y sobre ella se corta su rama.
17Su memoria se ha ido de la tierra, y en las calles no hay conocimiento de su nombre.
18Él es enviado de la luz a la oscuridad; Él es obligado a salir del mundo.
19No tiene descendencia ni familia entre su pueblo, y en su lugar de residencia no hay nadie de su nombre.
20A su destino, los del oeste se sorprenden, y los del este son vencidos por el miedo.
21En verdad, estas son las casas del pecador, y este es el lugar de aquel que no tiene conocimiento de Dios.

1Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:
2¿Cuándo pondréis fin á las palabras? Entended, y después hablemos.
3¿Por qué somos tenidos por bestias, y en vuestros ojos somos viles?
4Oh tú, que despedazas tu alma con tu furor, ¿será dejada la tierra por tu causa, y serán traspasadas de su lugar las peñas?
5Ciertamente la luz de los impíos será apagada, y no resplandecerá la centella de su fuego.
6La luz se oscurecerá en su tienda, y apagaráse sobre él su lámpara.
7Los pasos de su pujanza serán acortados, y precipitarálo su mismo consejo.
8Porque red será echada en sus pies, y sobre red andará.
9Lazo prenderá su calcañar: afirmaráse la trampa contra él.
10Su cuerda está escondida en la tierra, y su torzuelo sobre la senda.
11De todas partes lo asombrarán temores, y haránle huir desconcertado.
12Su fuerza será hambrienta, y á su lado estará aparejado quebrantamiento.
13El primogénito de la muerte comerá los ramos de su piel, y devorará sus miembros.
14Su confianza será arrancada de su tienda, y harále esto llevar al rey de los espantos.
15En su tienda morará como si no fuese suya: piedra azufre será esparcida sobre su morada.
16Abajo se secarán sus raíces, y arriba serán cortadas sus ramas.
17Su memoria perecerá de la tierra, y no tendrá nombre por las calles.
18De la luz será lanzado á las tinieblas, y echado fuera del mundo.
19No tendrá hijo ni nieto en su pueblo, ni quien le suceda en sus moradas.
20Sobre su día se espantarán los por venir, como ocupó el pavor á los que fueron antes.
21Ciertamente tales son las moradas del impío, y este será el lugar del que no conoció á Dios.
King James Version
1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
4He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
6The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
9The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
10The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
11Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
12His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
13It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
14His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
15It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
16His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
20They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
World English Bible
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
2“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
3Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?
4You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?
5“Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.
6The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.
7The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.
8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.
9A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.
10A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.
11Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.
12His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.
13The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.
14He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.
15There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.
16His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.
17His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.
18He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
19He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.
20Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.
21Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn’t know God.”
