Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
“¿Hasta cuándo van a seguir buscando palabras? Piensen bien primero, y después hablaremos.
¿Cuándo pondréis fin á las palabras? Entended, y después hablemos.
How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
¿Por qué nos tratan como si fuéramos animales? ¿Acaso nos creen tontos ante sus ojos?
¿Por qué somos tenidos por bestias, y en vuestros ojos somos viles?
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?
Tú, Job, que te desgarras de coraje, ¿crees que por tu culpa la tierra quedará abandonada, o que las rocas se moverán de su sitio?
Oh tú, que despedazas tu alma con tu furor, ¿será dejada la tierra por tu causa, y serán traspasadas de su lugar las peñas?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?
“La verdad es que la luz del malvado se apagará, y la chispa de su fuego dejará de brillar.
Ciertamente la luz de los impíos será apagada, y no resplandecerá la centella de su fuego.
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
“Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.
En su hogar la luz se volverá oscuridad, y la lámpara que lo ilumina se apagará.
La luz se oscurecerá en su tienda, y apagaráse sobre él su lámpara.
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.
Sus pasos firmes se harán cortos, y sus propios planes lo harán caer.
Los pasos de su pujanza serán acortados, y precipitarálo su mismo consejo.
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.
Sus mismos pies lo empujan a la red y camina directo hacia la trampa.
Porque red será echada en sus pies, y sobre red andará.
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.
El lazo lo atrapará por el talón, y la red se cerrará sobre él.
Lazo prenderá su calcañar: afirmaráse la trampa contra él.
The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.
En el suelo le tienen escondida una cuerda, y una trampa lo espera en el camino.
Su cuerda está escondida en la tierra, y su torzuelo sobre la senda.
The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.
A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.
Por todas partes lo asustan los terrores; le pisan los talones y lo persiguen.
De todas partes lo asombrarán temores, y haránle huir desconcertado.
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.
Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.
Su fuerza se agotará por el hambre; la desgracia siempre estará lista a su lado.
Su fuerza será hambrienta, y á su lado estará aparejado quebrantamiento.
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.
Una enfermedad le carcomerá la piel; la peor de las muertes devorará sus miembros.
El primogénito de la muerte comerá los ramos de su piel, y devorará sus miembros.
It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.
Será arrancado de la seguridad de su hogar y lo llevarán ante el rey de los terrores.
Su confianza será arrancada de su tienda, y harále esto llevar al rey de los espantos.
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.
En su casa vivirá gente extraña; sobre su hogar se esparcirá azufre.
En su tienda morará como si no fuese suya: piedra azufre será esparcida sobre su morada.
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.
Sus raíces se secarán por debajo, y sus ramas se marchitarán por arriba.
Abajo se secarán sus raíces, y arriba serán cortadas sus ramas.
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.
His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.
Nadie en la tierra se acordará de él; no dejará rastro de su nombre en las calles.
Su memoria perecerá de la tierra, y no tendrá nombre por las calles.
His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.
Lo echarán de la luz a las tinieblas y lo expulsarán de este mundo.
De la luz será lanzado á las tinieblas, y echado fuera del mundo.
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.
No tendrá hijos ni nietos en su pueblo; no quedará nadie vivo donde él vivía.
No tendrá hijo ni nieto en su pueblo, ni quien le suceda en sus moradas.
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.
He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.
Los que vengan después se asombrarán de su destino, así como se espantaron los que vivieron antes.
Sobre su día se espantarán los por venir, como ocupó el pavor á los que fueron antes.
They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted.
Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.
Así es como terminan los hogares de los malvados; este es el lugar de los que no conocen a Dios”.
Ciertamente tales son las moradas del impío, y este será el lugar del que no conoció á Dios.
Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn’t know God.”
