“How long until you end these speeches? Show some sense, and then we can talk.
¿Cuándo pondréis fin á las palabras? Entended, y después hablemos.
How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
Why are we regarded as cattle, as stupid in your sight?
¿Por qué somos tenidos por bestias, y en vuestros ojos somos viles?
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?
You who tear yourself in anger— should the earth be forsaken on your account, or the rocks be moved from their place?
Oh tú, que despedazas tu alma con tu furor, ¿será dejada la tierra por tu causa, y serán traspasadas de su lugar las peñas?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?
Indeed, the lamp of the wicked is extinguished; the flame of his fire does not glow.
Ciertamente la luz de los impíos será apagada, y no resplandecerá la centella de su fuego.
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.
“Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.
The light in his tent grows dark, and the lamp beside him goes out.
La luz se oscurecerá en su tienda, y apagaráse sobre él su lámpara.
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.
His vigorous stride is shortened, and his own schemes trip him up.
Los pasos de su pujanza serán acortados, y precipitarálo su mismo consejo.
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.
The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.
For his own feet lead him into a net, and he wanders into its mesh.
Porque red será echada en sus pies, y sobre red andará.
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

A trap seizes his heel; a snare grips him.
Lazo prenderá su calcañar: afirmaráse la trampa contra él.
The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him.
A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.
A noose is hidden in the ground, and a trap lies in his path.
Su cuerda está escondida en la tierra, y su torzuelo sobre la senda.
The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

Terrors frighten him on every side and harass his every step.
De todas partes lo asombrarán temores, y haránle huir desconcertado.
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

His strength is depleted, and calamity is ready at his side.
Su fuerza será hambrienta, y á su lado estará aparejado quebrantamiento.
His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side.
His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.
It devours patches of his skin; the firstborn of death devours his limbs.
El primogénito de la muerte comerá los ramos de su piel, y devorará sus miembros.
It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.
He is torn from the shelter of his tent and is marched off to the king of terrors.
Su confianza será arrancada de su tienda, y harále esto llevar al rey de los espantos.
His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.
He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.
Fire resides in his tent; burning sulfur rains down on his dwelling.
En su tienda morará como si no fuese suya: piedra azufre será esparcida sobre su morada.
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.
The roots beneath him dry up, and the branches above him wither away.
Abajo se secarán sus raíces, y arriba serán cortadas sus ramas.
His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off.

The memory of him perishes from the earth, and he has no name in the land.
Su memoria perecerá de la tierra, y no tendrá nombre por las calles.

He is driven from light into darkness and is chased from the inhabited world.
De la luz será lanzado á las tinieblas, y echado fuera del mundo.
He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

He has no offspring or posterity among his people, no survivor where he once lived.
No tendrá hijo ni nieto en su pueblo, ni quien le suceda en sus moradas.
He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings.

Those in the west are appalled at his fate, while those in the east tremble in horror.

Surely such is the dwelling of the wicked and the place of one who does not know God.”
