»Wie lange wollt ihr noch Jagd auf (bloße) Worte machen? Nehmt Verstand an: dann wollen wir reden!
¿Cuándo pondréis fin á las palabras? Entended, y después hablemos.
How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak.
“How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.
Warum werden wir den vernunftlosen Tieren gleichgeachtet, von euch als vernagelt angesehen?
¿Por qué somos tenidos por bestias, y en vuestros ojos somos viles?
Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight?
Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?
Du, der in seinem Zorn sich selbst zerfleischt – soll um deinetwillen die Erde menschenleer werden und der Fels von seiner Stelle wegrücken?«
Oh tú, que despedazas tu alma con tu furor, ¿será dejada la tierra por tu causa, y serán traspasadas de su lugar las peñas?
He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place?
You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?
»Jawohl, das Licht des Frevlers wird erlöschen und die Flamme seines Herdfeuers nicht mehr leuchten;
Ciertamente la luz de los impíos será apagada, y no resplandecerá la centella de su fuego.
Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine.

das Licht wird dunkel werden in seinem Zelt, und seine Leuchte erlischt über ihm;
La luz se oscurecerá en su tienda, y apagaráse sobre él su lámpara.
The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him.
The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.
seine sonst so rüstigen Schritte werden kurz, und seine eigenen Anschläge bringen ihn zu Fall;
Los pasos de su pujanza serán acortados, y precipitarálo su mismo consejo.
The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down.

denn er wird von seinen eigenen Füßen ins Netz getrieben, und auf Fallgittern wandelt er dahin.
Porque red será echada en sus pies, y sobre red andará.
For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare.

Die Schlinge erfaßt seine Ferse, der Fallstrick hält ihn fest;

am Boden liegt das Fanggarn für ihn verborgen, und die Falle wartet seiner auf dem Pfade.

Ringsum ängstigen ihn Schrecknisse und hetzen ihn auf Schritt und Tritt.
De todas partes lo asombrarán temores, y haránle huir desconcertado.
Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet.

Das ihm bestimmte Unheil hungert nach ihm, und das Verderben steht zu seinem Sturz bereit.
Su fuerza será hambrienta, y á su lado estará aparejado quebrantamiento.

Es frißt die Glieder seines Leibes, es frißt seine Glieder der erstgeborene Sohn des Todes.
El primogénito de la muerte comerá los ramos de su piel, y devorará sus miembros.
It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength.
The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.
Herausgerissen wird er aus seinem Zelt, wo er sich sicher fühlte, und es treibt ihn hin zum König der Schrecken.

His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors.

In seinem Zelt haust eine Bewohnerschaft, die nicht zu ihm gehört; Schwefel wird auf seine Wohnstätte gestreut.
En su tienda morará como si no fuese suya: piedra azufre será esparcida sobre su morada.
It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation.
There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.
Unten verdorren seine Wurzeln, und oben verwelken seine Zweige.

er stößt ihn aus dem Licht in die Finsternis hinaus und verjagt ihn vom Erdenrund.

Nicht Sproß noch Schoß bleibt ihm in seinem Volk erhalten, und kein Überlebender findet sich in seinen Wohnsitzen.

Ciertamente tales son las moradas del impío, y este será el lugar del que no conoció á Dios.
Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God.
