Y RESPONDIÓ Job, y dijo:

Jusqu'à quand affligerez-vous mon âme, Et m'écraserez-vous de vos paroles ?
¿Hasta cuándo angustiaréis mi alma, y me moleréis con palabras?
How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
“How long will you torment me, and crush me with words?
Voici dix fois que vous m'injuriez, Que vous n'avez pas honte de me malmener.
Ya me habéis vituperado diez veces: ¿no os avergonzáis de descomediros delante de mí?
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
You have reproached me ten times. You aren’t ashamed that you attack me.
Si vraiment j'ai manqué, Mon manquement ne concerne que moi.
Sea así que realmente haya yo errado, conmigo se quedará mi yerro.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
If it is true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.
Ou bien chercheriez-vous vraiment à vous glorifier à mes dépens Et à me convaincre d'ignominie ?
Mas si vosotros os engrandeciereis contra mí, y adujereis contra mí mi oprobio,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach,
Sachez donc que Dieu m'a fait tort, M'enveloppant de son filet.
Sabed ahora que Dios me ha trastornado, y traído en derredor su red sobre mí.
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.
Voici, je crie : Violence ! et on ne me répond pas ; Je me lamente, et il n'y a pas de justice.
He aquí yo clamaré agravio, y no seré oído: daré voces, y no habrá juicio.
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.

Il ferme mon chemin, je ne puis passer ; Il place l'obscurité sur mes sentiers.
Cercó de vallado mi camino, y no pasaré; y sobre mis veredas puso tinieblas.
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass, and has set darkness in my paths.
Il m'a dépouillé de mon honneur, Il a enlevé la couronne de ma tête.
Hame despojado de mi gloria, y quitado la corona de mi cabeza.
He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
He has stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
Il me brise de tous côtés, c'en est fait de moi ! Il arrache mon espérance comme un arbre.
Arruinóme por todos lados, y perezco; y ha hecho pasar mi esperanza como árbol arrancado.
He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.
He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone. He has plucked my hope up like a tree.
Sa colère s'embrase contre moi, Il me met au nombre de ses ennemis ;
E hizo inflamar contra mí su furor, y contóme para sí entre sus enemigos.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.
He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries.
Ses troupes s'avancent ensemble, Elles se fraient un chemin contre moi, Elles campent tout autour, de ma tente.
Vinieron sus ejércitos á una, y trillaron sobre mí su camino, y asentaron campo en derredor de mi tienda.
His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.
His troops come on together, build a siege ramp against me, and encamp around my tent.
Il a éloigné de moi mes frères, Mes amis se sont tous détournés de moi.
Hizo alejar de mí mis hermanos, y positivamente se extrañaron de mí mis conocidos.
He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
“He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.
Mes proches ne se montrent plus, Mes intimes m'ont oublié.
Mis parientes se detuvieron, y mis conocidos se olvidaron de mí.
My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me.
Mes domestiques et mes servantes me considèrent comme un étranger, Je suis devenu à leurs yeux un inconnu.
Los moradores de mi casa y mis criadas me tuvieron por extraño: forastero fuí yo en sus ojos.
They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger. I am an alien in their sight.
J'appelle mon serviteur, il ne répond pas ; Il faut que je l'implore de ma bouche ;
Llamé á mi siervo, y no respondió; de mi propia boca le suplicaba.
I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.
I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer. I beg him with my mouth.
Mon haleine est devenue odieuse à ma femme, Mon odeur à mes propres enfants.
Mi aliento vino á ser extraño á mi mujer, aunque por los hijos de mis entrañas le rogaba.
My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children’s sake of mine own body.
My breath is offensive to my wife. I am loathsome to the children of my own mother.
Les enfants mêmes me méprisent ; Quand je me lève, ils se moquent de moi.
Aun los muchachos me menospreciaron: en levantándome, hablaban contra mí.
Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me.
Even young children despise me. If I arise, they speak against me.
Mes familiers m'ont tous en horreur ; Ceux que j'aimais m'ont tourné le dos.
Todos mis confidentes me aborrecieron; y los que yo amaba, se tornaron contra mí.
All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
All my familiar friends abhor me. They whom I loved have turned against me.
Mes os sont collés à ma peau et à ma chair, C'est à peine si je m'échappe avec la peau de mes dents.
Mi cuero y mi carne se pegaron á mis huesos; y he escapado con la piel de mis dientes.
My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh. I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
Ayez pitié de moi, ayez pitié de moi, vous, mes amis, Car la main de Dieu m'a frappé.
Oh vosotros mis amigos, tened compasión de mí, tened compasión de mí; porque la mano de Dios me ha tocado.
Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
“Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.
Pourquoi me poursuivez-vous comme Dieu, Et êtes-vous insatiables de ma chair.
¿Por qué me perseguís como Dios, y no os hartáis de mis carnes?
Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Si seulement mes paroles étaient écrites, Si elles pouvaient être consignées dans un livre et gravées,
¡Quién diese ahora que mis palabras fuesen escritas! ¡quién diese que se escribieran en un libro!
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
“Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
Avec un burin de fer et du plomb Sculptées pour toujours sur le roc !
¡Que con cincel de hierro y con plomo fuesen en piedra esculpidas para siempre!
That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
That with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!
Et moi, je sais que mon vengeur est vivant ; Et qu'il s'élèvera le dernier sur la poussière.
Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y al fin se levantará sobre el polvo:
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
Et quand après ma peau ce reste aura été détruit, Sans ma chair, je verrai Dieu !
Y después de deshecha esta mi piel, aun he de ver en mi carne á Dios;
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh,
Oui, moi, je le verrai propice, Mes yeux le verront, et non pas comme un étranger ! Mes reins se consument d'attente au-dedans de moi.
Al cual yo tengo de ver por mí, y mis ojos lo verán, y no otro, aunque mis riñones se consuman dentro de mí.
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
whom I, even I, will see on my side. My eyes will see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.
Vous qui dites : Poursuivons-le avec ardeur ! Et qui trouvez en moi la racine de tout le mal,
Mas debierais decir: ¿Por qué lo perseguimos? ya que la raíz del negocio en mí se halla.
But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,
Craignez pour vous le glaive ! Car la colère est un péché qui mérite le glaive, Afin que vous sachiez qu'il y a une justice.
Temed vosotros delante de la espada; porque sobreviene el furor de la espada á causa de las injusticias, para que sepáis que hay un juicio.
Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
