Then answered Job, and said,

How long will ye grieve my soul, and crush me with words?
¿Hasta cuándo angustiaréis mi alma, y me moleréis con palabras?
How long will ye vex my soul, and break me in pieces with words?
“How long will you torment me, and crush me with words?
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed when ye show yourselves as strangers to me.
Ya me habéis vituperado diez veces: ¿no os avergonzáis de descomediros delante de mí?
These ten times have ye reproached me: ye are not ashamed that ye make yourselves strange to me.
You have reproached me ten times. You aren’t ashamed that you attack me.
Yea, if it be indeed that I have erred, let my error remain with myself.
Sea así que realmente haya yo errado, conmigo se quedará mi yerro.
And be it indeed that I have erred, mine error remaineth with myself.
If it is true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.
But if indeed ye wish to magnify yourselves above me, and to prove against me my disgrace:
Mas si vosotros os engrandeciereis contra mí, y adujereis contra mí mi oprobio,
If indeed ye will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach:
If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach,
Then know for certain that God hath bent me down, and hath laid his net all around me.
Sabed ahora que Dios me ha trastornado, y traído en derredor su red sobre mí.
Know now that God hath overthrown me, and hath compassed me with his net.
know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.
Behold, I cry out concerning the violence done me, but I am not answered: I entreat aloud, but there is no justice.
He aquí yo clamaré agravio, y no seré oído: daré voces, y no habrá juicio.
Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard: I cry aloud, but there is no judgment.
“Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard. I cry for help, but there is no justice.
My road hath he fenced up, so that I cannot pass out; and on my paths he placeth darkness.
Cercó de vallado mi camino, y no pasaré; y sobre mis veredas puso tinieblas.
He hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in my paths.
He has walled up my way so that I can’t pass, and has set darkness in my paths.
My glory hath he stripped from me, and removed the crown of my head.
Hame despojado de mi gloria, y quitado la corona de mi cabeza.
He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
He has stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
He hath pulled me down on every side, and I am going hence; and he hath rooted up like a tree my hope.
Arruinóme por todos lados, y perezco; y ha hecho pasar mi esperanza como árbol arrancado.
He hath destroyed me on every side, and I am gone: and mine hope hath he removed like a tree.
He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone. He has plucked my hope up like a tree.
He hath also kindled against me his wrath, and he counteth me with himself as one of his adversaries.
E hizo inflamar contra mí su furor, y contóme para sí entre sus enemigos.
He hath also kindled his wrath against me, and he counteth me unto him as one of his enemies.
He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries.
Altogether come on his troops, and make level against me their way, and encamp round about my tent.
Vinieron sus ejércitos á una, y trillaron sobre mí su camino, y asentaron campo en derredor de mi tienda.
His troops come together, and raise up their way against me, and encamp round about my tabernacle.
His troops come on together, build a siege ramp against me, and encamp around my tent.
My brothers hath he removed far from me, and my acquaintance are entirely estranged from me.
Hizo alejar de mí mis hermanos, y positivamente se extrañaron de mí mis conocidos.
He hath put my brethren far from me, and mine acquaintance are verily estranged from me.
“He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.
My near of kin have withdrawn, and those befriended by me have forgotten me.
Mis parientes se detuvieron, y mis conocidos se olvidaron de mí.
My kinsfolk have failed, and my familiar friends have forgotten me.
My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me.
Ye that sojourn in my house, and my maidservants, regard me as a stranger: an alien am I become in their eyes.
Los moradores de mi casa y mis criadas me tuvieron por extraño: forastero fuí yo en sus ojos.
They that dwell in mine house, and my maids, count me for a stranger: I am an alien in their sight.
Those who dwell in my house and my maids consider me a stranger. I am an alien in their sight.
I call for my servant, but he will not answer, though I were to entreat him with my mouth.
Llamé á mi siervo, y no respondió; de mi propia boca le suplicaba.
I called my servant, and he gave me no answer; I intreated him with my mouth.
I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer. I beg him with my mouth.
My breath is become nauseous to my wife, and my caressing, to the children of my own body.
Mi aliento vino á ser extraño á mi mujer, aunque por los hijos de mis entrañas le rogaba.
My breath is strange to my wife, though I intreated for the children’s sake of mine own body.
My breath is offensive to my wife. I am loathsome to the children of my own mother.
Yea, children even despise me: I rise up, but they speak against me.
Aun los muchachos me menospreciaron: en levantándome, hablaban contra mí.
Yea, young children despised me; I arose, and they spake against me.
Even young children despise me. If I arise, they speak against me.
All that have had my confidence abominate me; and those whom I have loved are turned against me.
Todos mis confidentes me aborrecieron; y los que yo amaba, se tornaron contra mí.
All my inward friends abhorred me: and they whom I loved are turned against me.
All my familiar friends abhor me. They whom I loved have turned against me.
To my skin and to my flesh my bones do cleave, and I must sustain myself with the gums of my teeth.
Mi cuero y mi carne se pegaron á mis huesos; y he escapado con la piel de mis dientes.
My bone cleaveth to my skin and to my flesh, and I am escaped with the skin of my teeth.
My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh. I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.
Spare me, spare me, O ye, my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
Oh vosotros mis amigos, tened compasión de mí, tened compasión de mí; porque la mano de Dios me ha tocado.
Have pity upon me, have pity upon me, O ye my friends; for the hand of God hath touched me.
“Have pity on me. Have pity on me, you my friends, for the hand of God has touched me.
Why will ye persecute me as God hath done, and will never be satisfied with my flesh?
¿Por qué me perseguís como Dios, y no os hartáis de mis carnes?
Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?
Oh who would but grant, that my words might be written down! oh who would grant that they were entered in a book!
¡Quién diese ahora que mis palabras fuesen escritas! ¡quién diese que se escribieran en un libro!
Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
“Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!
That they were hewn with an iron pen and blackened with lead for eternity in the hard rock!
¡Que con cincel de hierro y con plomo fuesen en piedra esculpidas para siempre!
That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
That with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!
And well I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he will remain as the last after the creatures of the dust are passed away;
Yo sé que mi Redentor vive, y al fin se levantará sobre el polvo:
For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.
And after my skin is cut to pieces will this be: and then freed from my body shall I behold God;
Y después de deshecha esta mi piel, aun he de ver en mi carne á Dios;
And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
After my skin is destroyed, then I will see God in my flesh,
Whom I shall myself behold to my happiness, and whom my eyes will see, and not as a stranger, when even my reins are consumed within my bosom.
Al cual yo tengo de ver por mí, y mis ojos lo verán, y no otro, aunque mis riñones se consuman dentro de mí.
Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.
whom I, even I, will see on my side. My eyes will see, and not as a stranger. “My heart is consumed within me.
But if ye should say, How will we pursue him? seeing the root of the matter is found in me:
Mas debierais decir: ¿Por qué lo perseguimos? ya que la raíz del negocio en mí se halla.
But ye should say, Why persecute we him, seeing the root of the matter is found in me?
If you say, ‘How we will persecute him!’ because the root of the matter is found in me,
Then have dread for yourselves of the sword; for the wrath which ye excite is an iniquity that bringeth the sword; in order that ye may know there is one that judgeth in the world.
Temed vosotros delante de la espada; porque sobreviene el furor de la espada á causa de las injusticias, para que sepáis que hay un juicio.
Be ye afraid of the sword: for wrath bringeth the punishments of the sword, that ye may know there is a judgment.
