Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

A cause de cela, mes pensées me pressent de répliquer ; Je suis indigné.
Por cierto mis pensamientos me hacen responder, y por tanto me apresuro.
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
Je viens d'entendre une leçon injurieuse ; L'esprit, du fond de mon intelligence, va tirer une réponse.
La reprensión de mi censura he oído, y háceme responder el espíritu de mi inteligencia.
I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
Comprends-tu bien que, de tout temps, Depuis que l'homme a été placé sur la terre,
¿No sabes esto que fué siempre, desde el tiempo que fué puesto el hombre sobre la tierra,
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
Le triomphe des méchants ne va pas loin, La joie de l'impie ne dure qu'un instant ?
Que la alegría de los impíos es breve, y el gozo del hipócrita por un momento?
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

Quand il s'élèverait jusqu'aux cieux, Que sa tête toucherait aux nues,
Si subiere su altivez hasta el cielo, y su cabeza tocare en las nubes,
Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;

Il périra à toujours comme ses excréments ; Ceux qui le voyaient diront : Où est-il ?
Con su estiércol perecerá para siempre: los que le hubieren visto, dirán: ¿Qué es de él?
Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

Il s'envolera comme un songe, sans qu'on puisse le retrouver ; Il s'évanouira comme une vision de la nuit.
Como sueño volará, y no será hallado: y disiparáse como visión nocturna.
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

L'œil qui le regardait, ne le verra plus ; Son lieu ne le contemplera plus.
El ojo que le habrá visto, nunca más le verá; ni su lugar le echará más de ver.

Ses fils devront apaiser les pauvres, Et ses propres mains restituer sa fortune.

Quand même le mal est doux à sa bouche, Qu'il le cache sous sa langue,
Si el mal se endulzó en su boca, si lo ocultaba debajo de su lengua;
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

Si le parecía bien, y no lo dejaba, mas antes lo detenía entre su paladar;

Cette nourriture se transforme dans ses entrailles, C'est un venin d'aspic au-dedans de lui.
Su comida se mudará en sus entrañas, hiel de áspides será dentro de él.
Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

Il a avalé des richesses, il les vomira, Dieu les chassera de son ventre.
Devoró riquezas, mas vomitarálas; de su vientre las sacará Dios.
He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.

Il suce du venin d'aspic, La langue de la vipère le tuera.
Veneno de áspides chupará; matarálo lengua de víbora.
He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.
Il ne pourra pas jouir des ruisseaux, Des rivières, des torrents de miel et de lait.
No verá los arroyos, los ríos, los torrentes de miel y de manteca.
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
He will not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.
Il rendra ce qu'il a gagné et ne l'avalera pas ; Tous ses biens, il les restituera Et ne pourra en jouir.
Restituirá el trabajo conforme á la hacienda que tomó; y no tragará, ni gozará.
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
He will restore that for which he labored, and will not swallow it down. He will not rejoice according to the substance that he has gotten.
Il a écrasé, abandonné les misérables ; Il a démoli des maisons : il ne les relèvera pas.
Por cuanto quebrantó y desamparó á los pobres, robó casas, y no las edificó;
Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.
Son ventre n'a pas connu de repos ; Il ne se sauvera pas avec ce qu'il a de précieux.
Por tanto, no sentirá él sosiego en su vientre, ni salvará nada de lo que codiciaba.
Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
“Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save anything of that in which he delights.
Rien n'échappait à sa voracité ; C'est pourquoi son bonheur ne durera pas.
No quedó nada que no comiese: por tanto su bien no será durable.
There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity will not endure.
En pleine abondance il sera à l'étroit, La main de tous les malheureux sera sur lui.
Cuando fuere lleno su bastimento, tendrá angustia: las manos todas de los malvados vendrán sobre él.
In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery will come on him.
Au moment où il se remplit le ventre, Dieu enverra contre lui l'ardeur de sa colère, Et fera pleuvoir sur lui dans ses entrailles.
Cuando se pusiere á henchir su vientre, Dios enviará sobre él el furor de su ira, y harála llover sobre él y sobre su comida.
When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
S'il échappe à la cuirasse de fer, L'arc d'airain le transpercera.
Huirá de las armas de hierro, y el arco de acero le atravesará.
He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.
Il arrache la flèche, elle sort de son dos ; Le trait étincelant sort de son foie ; Les terreurs de la mort sont sur lui.
Desenvainará y sacará saeta de su aljaba, y relumbrante pasará por su hiel: sobre él vendrán terrores.
It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
Toute obscurité est réservée à ses trésors, Un feu que personne n'a allumé les dévore Et en consume les restes jusque dans sa tente.
Todas tinieblas están guardadas para sus secretos: fuego no soplado lo devorará; su sucesor será quebrantado en su tienda.
All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.
Les cieux dévoilent son iniquité, La terre se soulève contre lui.
Los cielos descubrirán su iniquidad, y la tierra se levantará contra él.
The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.
Les revenus de sa maison seront dispersés, Emportés au jour de la colère de Dieu.
Los renuevos de su casa serán trasportados; serán derramados en el día de su furor.
The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.

Tel est le sort que Dieu réserve à l'homme méchant, L'héritage que le Dieu fort lui assigne.
Esta es la parte que Dios apareja al hombre impío, y la heredad que Dios le señala por su palabra.
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
