Darauf muß ich antworten und kann nicht harren.
Por cierto mis pensamientos me hacen responder, y por tanto me apresuro.
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
Denn ich muß hören, wie man mich straft und tadelt; aber der Geist meines Verstandes soll für mich antworten.
La reprensión de mi censura he oído, y háceme responder el espíritu de mi inteligencia.
I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
Weißt du nicht, daß es allezeit so gegangen ist, seitdem Menschen auf Erden gewesen sind:
¿No sabes esto que fué siempre, desde el tiempo que fué puesto el hombre sobre la tierra,
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
daß der Ruhm der Gottlosen steht nicht lange und die Freude des Heuchlers währt einen Augenblick?
Que la alegría de los impíos es breve, y el gozo del hipócrita por un momento?
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?

Wenngleich seine Höhe in den Himmel reicht und sein Haupt an die Wolken rührt,
Si subiere su altivez hasta el cielo, y su cabeza tocare en las nubes,

Er wird der Ottern Gift saugen, und die Zunge der Schlange wird ihn töten.
Veneno de áspides chupará; matarálo lengua de víbora.
He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.
Er wird nicht sehen die Ströme noch die Wasserbäche, die mit Honig und Butter fließen.
No verá los arroyos, los ríos, los torrentes de miel y de manteca.
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.

Er wird arbeiten, und des nicht genießen; und seine Güter werden andern, daß er deren nicht froh wird.
Restituirá el trabajo conforme á la hacienda que tomó; y no tragará, ni gozará.
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.

Es wird ihm der Wanst einmal voll werden, wenn er wird den Grimm seines Zorns über ihn senden und über ihn wird regnen lassen seine Speise.

When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
Er wird fliehen vor dem eisernen Harnisch, und der eherne Bogen wird ihn verjagen.
Huirá de las armas de hierro, y el arco de acero le atravesará.
He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.
Ein bloßes Schwert wird durch ihn ausgehen; und des Schwertes Blitz, der ihm bitter sein wird, wird mit Schrecken über ihn fahren.
Desenvainará y sacará saeta de su aljaba, y relumbrante pasará por su hiel: sobre él vendrán terrores.
It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
Es ist keine Finsternis da, die ihn verdecken möchte. Es wird ihn ein Feuer verzehren, das nicht angeblasen ist; und wer übrig ist in seiner Hütte, dem wird's übel gehen.
Todas tinieblas están guardadas para sus secretos: fuego no soplado lo devorará; su sucesor será quebrantado en su tienda.
All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.
Der Himmel wird seine Missetat eröffnen, und die Erde wird sich gegen ihn setzen.

Das Getreide in seinem Hause wird weggeführt werden, zerstreut am Tage seines Zorns.
