»Eben darum veranlassen meine Gedanken mich zu einer Antwort, und eben deswegen bin ich innerlich erregt:
Por cierto mis pensamientos me hacen responder, y por tanto me apresuro.
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
eine mich beschimpfende Zurechtweisung muß ich hören! Doch der Geist gibt mir eine Antwort aus meiner Einsicht ein.«
La reprensión de mi censura he oído, y háceme responder el espíritu de mi inteligencia.
I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
»Kennst du nicht die Wahrheit von alters her, seitdem der Mensch seinen Wohnsitz auf der Erde hat,
¿No sabes esto que fué siempre, desde el tiempo que fué puesto el hombre sobre la tierra,
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
daß das Frohlocken der Frevler von kurzer Dauer ist und die Freude der Ruchlosen nur einen Augenblick währt?
Que la alegría de los impíos es breve, y el gozo del hipócrita por un momento?
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?
Sollte auch sein Dünkel sich bis zum Himmel erheben und sein Haupt bis an die Wolken reichen,
Si subiere su altivez hasta el cielo, y su cabeza tocare en las nubes,
Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,
so vergeht er doch wie sein Unrat für immer, und die ihn gekannt haben, werden fragen: ›Wo ist er geblieben?‹
Con su estiércol perecerá para siempre: los que le hubieren visto, dirán: ¿Qué es de él?
Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?

Wie ein Traum verfliegt er, so daß man ihn nicht mehr findet, und er wird hinweggescheucht wie ein Nachtgesicht:
Como sueño volará, y no será hallado: y disiparáse como visión nocturna.
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.
He will fly away as a dream, and will not be found. Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
das Auge, das ihn gesehen, erblickt ihn nimmer wieder, und seine Stätte gewahrt ihn nicht mehr.
El ojo que le habrá visto, nunca más le verá; ni su lugar le echará más de ver.
The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

Seine Söhne müssen die (durch ihn) Verarmten mit Bitten beschwichtigen und seine eigenen Hände sein Vermögen wieder herausgeben.
Sus hijos pobres andarán rogando; y sus manos tornarán lo que él robó.
His children shall seek to please the poor, and his hands shall restore their goods.
His children will seek the favor of the poor. His hands will give back his wealth.
Mögen auch seine Glieder von Jugendkraft strotzen: sie muß sich doch mit ihm in den Staub legen.
Sus huesos están llenos de sus mocedades, y con él serán sepultados en el polvo.
His bones are full of the sin of his youth, which shall lie down with him in the dust.

Mag das Böse auch seinem Munde süß schmecken, so daß er es lange unter seiner Zunge birgt,
Si el mal se endulzó en su boca, si lo ocultaba debajo de su lengua;

so verwandelt sich doch seine Speise in seinen Eingeweiden: zu Otterngalle wird sie in seinem Leibe.
Su comida se mudará en sus entrañas, hiel de áspides será dentro de él.
Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

Den Reichtum, den er verschlungen hat, muß er wieder ausspeien: aus seinem Bauche treibt Gott ihn wieder heraus.
Devoró riquezas, mas vomitarálas; de su vientre las sacará Dios.
He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
He has swallowed down riches, and he will vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.
Otterngift hat er eingesogen: nun gibt ihm die Zunge der Viper den Tod.
Veneno de áspides chupará; matarálo lengua de víbora.
He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.
Nicht darf er seine Lust mehr sehen an den Bächen, an den wogenden Strömen von Honig und Sahne.
No verá los arroyos, los ríos, los torrentes de miel y de manteca.
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
He will not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.
Das Erraffte muß er wieder herausgeben, ohne es verschlucken zu können; wieviel Gut er auch erworben hat, er darf nicht frohlocken.
Restituirá el trabajo conforme á la hacienda que tomó; y no tragará, ni gozará.
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
He will restore that for which he labored, and will not swallow it down. He will not rejoice according to the substance that he has gotten.
Denn er hat die Armen niedergeschlagen und hilflos verkommen lassen, hat Häuser an sich gerissen, wird sie aber nicht häuslich einrichten dürfen;
Por cuanto quebrantó y desamparó á los pobres, robó casas, y no las edificó;
Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.
denn er kannte keine Befriedigung in seiner Gier: darum wird er auch von seinen Kostbarkeiten nichts davonbringen.
Por tanto, no sentirá él sosiego en su vientre, ni salvará nada de lo que codiciaba.
Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
“Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save anything of that in which he delights.
Nichts entging seinem Fressen: darum hat sein Wohlstand keine Dauer.
No quedó nada que no comiese: por tanto su bien no será durable.
There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity will not endure.
In der Fülle seines Überflusses wird ihm enge: die ganze Gewalt des Unheils kommt über ihn.
Cuando fuere lleno su bastimento, tendrá angustia: las manos todas de los malvados vendrán sobre él.
In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery will come on him.
Da entfesselt Gott dann, um ihm den Bauch zu füllen, seine Zornesglut gegen ihn und läßt sie als seine Speise auf ihn regnen.
Cuando se pusiere á henchir su vientre, Dios enviará sobre él el furor de su ira, y harála llover sobre él y sobre su comida.
When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
Flieht er vor der eisernen Rüstung, so durchbohrt ihn der eherne Bogen;
Huirá de las armas de hierro, y el arco de acero le atravesará.
He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.
er zieht den Pfeil heraus, da fährt’s aus seinem Rücken hervor: ein Blutstrahl schießt aus seiner Galle, Todesschrecken brechen über ihn herein.
Desenvainará y sacará saeta de su aljaba, y relumbrante pasará por su hiel: sobre él vendrán terrores.
It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
Alles Unheil ist seinen Schätzen aufgespart: ein Feuer, das nicht (von Menschen) angefacht ist, frißt sie und verzehrt, was in seinem Zelt noch übriggeblieben ist.
Todas tinieblas están guardadas para sus secretos: fuego no soplado lo devorará; su sucesor será quebrantado en su tienda.
All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.
Der Himmel deckt Sündenschuld auf, und die Erde erhebt sich gegen ihn.
Los cielos descubrirán su iniquidad, y la tierra se levantará contra él.
The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.
Was in seinem Hause zusammengescharrt liegt, wird weggeschleppt, zerrinnt (wie Wasser) am Tage des göttlichen Zorngerichts.
Los renuevos de su casa serán trasportados; serán derramados en el día de su furor.
The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
The increase of his house will depart. They will rush away in the day of his wrath.
Das ist des ruchlosen Menschen Teil von seiten Gottes und das vom Allherrn ihm zugesprochene Erbe.«
Esta es la parte que Dios apareja al hombre impío, y la heredad que Dios le señala por su palabra.
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
