“Quel che tu dici mi spinge a risponderti e ne suscita in me il fervido impulso.
Por cierto mis pensamientos me hacen responder, y por tanto me apresuro.
Therefore do my thoughts cause me to answer, and for this I make haste.
“Therefore my thoughts answer me, even by reason of my haste that is in me.
Ho udito rimproveri che mi fanno oltraggio; ma lo spirito mio mi darà una risposta assennata.
La reprensión de mi censura he oído, y háceme responder el espíritu de mi inteligencia.
I have heard the check of my reproach, and the spirit of my understanding causeth me to answer.
I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame. The spirit of my understanding answers me.
Non lo sai tu che in ogni tempo, da che l’uomo è stato posto sulla terra,
¿No sabes esto que fué siempre, desde el tiempo que fué puesto el hombre sobre la tierra,
Knowest thou not this of old, since man was placed upon earth,
Don’t you know this from old time, since man was placed on earth,
il trionfo de’ malvagi è breve, e la gioia degli empi non dura che un istante?
Que la alegría de los impíos es breve, y el gozo del hipócrita por un momento?
That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the joy of the hypocrite but for a moment?
that the triumphing of the wicked is short, the joy of the godless but for a moment?
Quando la sua altezza giungesse fino al cielo ed il suo capo toccasse le nubi,
Si subiere su altivez hasta el cielo, y su cabeza tocare en las nubes,
Though his excellency mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds;
Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach to the clouds,
l’empio perirà per sempre come lo sterco suo; quelli che lo vedevano diranno: “Dov’è?”
Con su estiércol perecerá para siempre: los que le hubieren visto, dirán: ¿Qué es de él?
Yet he shall perish for ever like his own dung: they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
yet he will perish forever like his own dung. Those who have seen him will say, ‘Where is he?’
Se ne volerà via come un sogno, e non si troverà più; dileguerà come una visione notturna.
Como sueño volará, y no será hallado: y disiparáse como visión nocturna.
He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: yea, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

L’occhio che lo guardava, cesserà di vederlo, e la sua dimora più non lo scorgerà.
El ojo que le habrá visto, nunca más le verá; ni su lugar le echará más de ver.
The eye also which saw him shall see him no more; neither shall his place any more behold him.

I suoi figli si raccomanderanno ai poveri, e le sue mani restituiranno la sua ricchezza.

Il male è dolce alla sua bocca, se lo nasconde sotto la lingua,
Si el mal se endulzó en su boca, si lo ocultaba debajo de su lengua;
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth, though he hide it under his tongue;

lo risparmia, non lo lascia andar giù, lo trattiene sotto al suo palato:
Si le parecía bien, y no lo dejaba, mas antes lo detenía entre su paladar;
Though he spare it, and forsake it not; but keep it still within his mouth:

ma il cibo gli si trasforma nelle viscere, e gli diventa in corpo veleno d’aspide.
Su comida se mudará en sus entrañas, hiel de áspides será dentro de él.
Yet his meat in his bowels is turned, it is the gall of asps within him.

Ha trangugiato ricchezze e le vomiterà; Iddio stesso gliele ricaccerà dal ventre.
Devoró riquezas, mas vomitarálas; de su vientre las sacará Dios.
He hath swallowed down riches, and he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
He has swallowed down riches, and he will vomit them up again. God will cast them out of his belly.
Ha succhiato veleno d’aspide, la lingua della vipera l’ucciderà.
Veneno de áspides chupará; matarálo lengua de víbora.
He shall suck the poison of asps: the viper’s tongue shall slay him.
He will suck cobra venom. The viper’s tongue will kill him.
Non godrà più la vista d’acque perenni, né di rivi fluenti di miele e di latte.
No verá los arroyos, los ríos, los torrentes de miel y de manteca.
He shall not see the rivers, the floods, the brooks of honey and butter.
He will not look at the rivers, the flowing streams of honey and butter.
Renderà il frutto delle sue fatiche, senza poterlo ingoiare. Pari alla sua ricchezza sarà la restituzione che ne dovrà fare, e così non godrà dei suoi beni.
Restituirá el trabajo conforme á la hacienda que tomó; y no tragará, ni gozará.
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and shall not swallow it down: according to his substance shall the restitution be, and he shall not rejoice therein.
He will restore that for which he labored, and will not swallow it down. He will not rejoice according to the substance that he has gotten.
Perché ha oppresso e abbandonato il povero, s’è impadronito di case che non avea costruite;
Por cuanto quebrantó y desamparó á los pobres, robó casas, y no las edificó;
Because he hath oppressed and hath forsaken the poor; because he hath violently taken away an house which he builded not;
For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a house, and he will not build it up.
perché la sua ingordigia non conobbe requie, egli non salverà nulla di ciò che ha tanto bramato.
Por tanto, no sentirá él sosiego en su vientre, ni salvará nada de lo que codiciaba.
Surely he shall not feel quietness in his belly, he shall not save of that which he desired.
“Because he knew no quietness within him, he will not save anything of that in which he delights.
La sua voracità non risparmiava nulla, perciò il suo benessere non durerà.
No quedó nada que no comiese: por tanto su bien no será durable.
There shall none of his meat be left; therefore shall no man look for his goods.
There was nothing left that he didn’t devour, therefore his prosperity will not endure.
Nel colmo dell’abbondanza, si troverà in penuria; la mano di chiunque ebbe a soffrir tormenti si leverà contro lui.
Cuando fuere lleno su bastimento, tendrá angustia: las manos todas de los malvados vendrán sobre él.
In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits: every hand of the wicked shall come upon him.
In the fullness of his sufficiency, distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in misery will come on him.
Quando starà per riempirsi il ventre, ecco Iddio manderà contro a lui l’ardor della sua ira; gliela farà piovere addosso per servirgli di cibo.
Cuando se pusiere á henchir su vientre, Dios enviará sobre él el furor de su ira, y harála llover sobre él y sobre su comida.
When he is about to fill his belly, God shall cast the fury of his wrath upon him, and shall rain it upon him while he is eating.
When he is about to fill his belly, God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him. It will rain on him while he is eating.
Se scampa alle armi di ferro, lo trafigge l’arco di rame.
Huirá de las armas de hierro, y el arco de acero le atravesará.
He shall flee from the iron weapon, and the bow of steel shall strike him through.
He will flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow will strike him through.
Si strappa il dardo, esso gli esce dal corpo, la punta sfolgorante gli vien fuori dal fiele, lo assalgono i terrori della morte.
Desenvainará y sacará saeta de su aljaba, y relumbrante pasará por su hiel: sobre él vendrán terrores.
It is drawn, and cometh out of the body; yea, the glittering sword cometh out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
He draws it out, and it comes out of his body. Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver. Terrors are on him.
Buio profondo è riservato a’ suoi tesori; lo consumerà un fuoco non attizzato dall’uomo, che divorerà quel che resta nella sua tenda.
Todas tinieblas están guardadas para sus secretos: fuego no soplado lo devorará; su sucesor será quebrantado en su tienda.
All darkness shall be hid in his secret places: a fire not blown shall consume him; it shall go ill with him that is left in his tabernacle.
All darkness is laid up for his treasures. An unfanned fire will devour him. It will consume that which is left in his tent.
Il cielo rivelerà la sua iniquità, e la terra insorgerà contro di lui.
Los cielos descubrirán su iniquidad, y la tierra se levantará contra él.
The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
The heavens will reveal his iniquity. The earth will rise up against him.
Le rendite della sua casa se n’andranno, portate via nel giorno dell’ira di Dio.
Los renuevos de su casa serán trasportados; serán derramados en el día de su furor.
The increase of his house shall depart, and his goods shall flow away in the day of his wrath.
The increase of his house will depart. They will rush away in the day of his wrath.
Tale la parte che Dio riserba all’empio, tale il retaggio che Dio gli destina”.
Esta es la parte que Dios apareja al hombre impío, y la heredad que Dios le señala por su palabra.
This is the portion of a wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed unto him by God.
