"Pode o homem ser útil a Deus? Pode o sábio ser útil a Ele?
¿Traerá el hombre provecho á Dios, porque el sabio sea provechoso á sí mismo?
Can a man be profitable unto God, as he that is wise may be profitable unto himself?
“Can a man be profitable to God? Surely he who is wise is profitable to himself.
Há algum prazer para o Todo Poderoso se fores justo? Há algum proveito para Ele se tornares teus caminhos irrepreensíveis?
¿Tiene su contentamiento el Omnipotente en que tú seas justificado, ó provecho de que tú hagas perfectos tus caminos?
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty, that thou art righteous? or is it gain to him, that thou makest thy ways perfect?
Is it any pleasure to the Almighty that you are righteous? Or does it benefit him that you make your ways perfect?
É por causa da tua reverência por Ele, que Ele te repreende e te leva a juízo?
¿Castigaráte acaso, ó vendrá contigo á juicio porque te teme?
Will he reprove thee for fear of thee? will he enter with thee into judgment?
Is it for your piety that he reproves you, that he enters with you into judgment?
Não é grande a tua malícia? E sem fim as tuas iniquidades?
Por cierto tu malicia es grande, y tus maldades no tienen fin.
Is not thy wickedness great? and thine iniquities infinite?
Isn’t your wickedness great? Neither is there any end to your iniquities.
Pois tu tens exigido segurança de teus irmãos sem razão; tu tens retirado as roupas daquele que estava nú.
Porque sacaste prenda á tus hermanos sin causa, é hiciste desnudar las ropas de los desnudos.
For thou hast taken a pledge from thy brother for nought, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
For you have taken pledges from your brother for nothing, and stripped the naked of their clothing.
Tu não destes água ao sedento e negastes pão ao faminto,
No diste de beber agua al cansado, y detuviste el pan al hambriento.
Thou hast not given water to the weary to drink, and thou hast withholden bread from the hungry.

mesmo sendo tu um homem poderoso, possuindo a terra; mesmo sendo tu um homem honrado, viveu nela.
Empero el hombre pudiente tuvo la tierra; y habitó en ella el distinguido.

Há trevas, para que tu não vejas; uma abundância de águas te cobrem.
O tinieblas, porque no veas; y abundancia de agua te cubre.
Or darkness, that thou canst not see; and abundance of waters cover thee.

Não está Deus nas alturas do céu? Olha para a altura das estrelas, quão altas estão!
¿No está Dios en la altura de los cielos? Mira lo encumbrado de las estrellas, cuán elevadas están.
Is not God in the height of heaven? and behold the height of the stars, how high they are!
“Isn’t God in the heights of heaven? See the height of the stars, how high they are!
Tu dizes: 'O que Deus sabe? Pode Ele julgar por meio de densa escuridão?
¿Y dirás tú: Qué sabe Dios? ¿cómo juzgará por medio de la oscuridad?
And thou sayest, How doth God know? can he judge through the dark cloud?
You say, ‘What does God know? Can he judge through the thick darkness?
Nuvens carregadas O cobrem para que Ele não nos veja; Ele anda nos altos céus'.
Las nubes son su escondedero, y no ve; y por el circuito del cielo se pasea.
Thick clouds are a covering to him, that he seeth not; and he walketh in the circuit of heaven.

Guardarás os antigos caminhos, nos quais andaram os homens corruptos —
¿Quieres tú guardar la senda antigua, que pisaron los hombres perversos?
Hast thou marked the old way which wicked men have trodden?
Will you keep the old way, which wicked men have trodden,
os quais foram arrebatados antes do seu tempo, cuja fundação tem sido arrastada como um rio,
Los cuales fueron cortados antes de tiempo, cuyo fundamento fué como un río derramado:
Which were cut down out of time, whose foundation was overflown with a flood:
who were snatched away before their time, whose foundation was poured out as a stream,
aqueles que disseram a Deus: 'Aparta-Te de nós'; aqueles que disseram: 'O que pode nos fazer o Todo Poderoso?'.
Que decían á Dios: Apártate de nosotros. ¿Y qué les había hecho el Omnipotente?
Which said unto God, Depart from us: and what can the Almighty do for them?
who said to God, ‘Depart from us!’ and, ‘What can the Almighty do for us?’
Mesmo assim, Ele encheu suas casas com bens, os planos dos corruptos estão longe de mim.
Habíales él henchido sus casas de bienes. Sea empero el consejo de ellos lejos de mí.
Yet he filled their houses with good things: but the counsel of the wicked is far from me.

Os justos veem a sua destruição e se alegram; pessoas inocentes riem deles até o escárneo.
Verán los justos y se gozarán; y el inocente los escarnecerá, diciendo:
The righteous see it, and are glad: and the innocent laugh them to scorn.

Eles dizem: 'Na verdade, aqueles que se levantam contra nós são exterminados; o fogo tem consumido suas posses'.
Fué cortada nuestra sustancia, habiendo consumido el fuego el resto de ellos.
Whereas our substance is not cut down, but the remnant of them the fire consumeth.
saying, ‘Surely those who rose up against us are cut off. The fire has consumed their remnant.’
Agora, concorda com Deus e fica em paz com Ele; assim, o bem virá para ti.
Amístate ahora con él, y tendrás paz; y por ello te vendrá bien.
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come unto thee.
“Acquaint yourself with him now, and be at peace. By it, good will come to you.
Rogo-te: recebe instruções da Sua boca; guarda a Sua palavra no teu coração.
Toma ahora la ley de su boca, y pon sus palabras en tu corazón.
Receive, I pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart.
Please receive instruction from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart.
Se retornares ao Todo Poderoso e, se puseres a iniquidades longe das tuas tendas, tu serás edificado.
Si te tornares al Omnipotente, serás edificado; alejarás de tu tienda la aflicción;
If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.
If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up, if you put away unrighteousness far from your tents.
Lança fora o teu tesouro no pó, o ouro de Ofir entre as pedras dos ribeiros,
Y tendrás más oro que tierra, y como piedras de arroyos oro de Ophir;
Then shalt thou lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.
Lay your treasure in the dust, the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.
e o Todo Poderoso será o teu tesouro e a tua prata preciosa.
Y el Todopoderoso será tu defensa, y tendrás plata á montones.
Yea, the Almighty shall be thy defence, and thou shalt have plenty of silver.
The Almighty will be your treasure, and precious silver to you.
Então, terás prazer no Todo Poderoso; tu levantarás o teu rosto a Deus.
Porque entonces te deleitarás en el Omnipotente, y alzarás á Dios tu rostro.
For then shalt thou have thy delight in the Almighty, and shalt lift up thy face unto God.
For then you will delight yourself in the Almighty, and will lift up your face to God.
Tu farás a tua oração a Ele e Ele te ouvirá; Tu cumprirás os teus votos diante Dele.
Orarás á él, y él te oirá; y tú pagarás tus votos.
Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.
You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You will pay your vows.
Tu também ordenarás qualquer coisa e esta será confirmada a ti; a luz brilhará em teus caminhos.
Determinarás asimismo una cosa, y serte ha firme; y sobre tus caminos resplandecerá luz.
Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
You will also decree a thing, and it will be established to you. Light will shine on your ways.
Deus humilha o homem orgulhoso e salva aqueles com olhos baixos.
Cuando fueren abatidos, dirás tú: Ensalzamiento habrá: y Dios salvará al humilde de ojos.
When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up; and he shall save the humble person.
When they cast down, you will say, ‘be lifted up.’ He will save the humble person.
Ele resgatará o homem inocente; tu serás resgatado através da pureza das tuas mãos".
El libertará la isla del inocente; y por la limpieza de tus manos será librada.
He shall deliver the island of the innocent: and it is delivered by the pureness of thine hands.
He will even deliver him who is not innocent. Yes, he will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands.”
