Why, seeing times are not hidden from the Almighty, do they that know him not see his days?
“Why aren’t times laid up by the Almighty? Why don’t those who know him see his days?
Los puntos de referencia son cambiados por hombres malvados, ellos roban violentamente los rebaños, junto con sus pastores.

Men groan from out of the city, and the soul of the wounded crieth out: yet God layeth not folly to them.

Luego están aquellos que odian la luz, que no tienen conocimiento de sus caminos, y no entran en ellos.
Ellos son los que, rebeldes á la luz, nunca conocieron sus caminos, ni estuvieron en sus veredas.
They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof.

El que propone la muerte se levanta antes del día, para poder matar a los pobres y a los necesitados, y en la noche es un ladrón.
A la luz se levanta el matador, mata al pobre y al necesitado, y de noche es como ladrón.
The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief.

Y el hombre cuyo deseo es por la esposa de otro está esperando la noche, diciendo: Ningún ojo me verá; Y él pone un disfraz en su rostro;

En la oscuridad él hace agujeros en las paredes de las casas; que durante el día había marcado, no tiene conocimiento de la luz.

Porque la mitad de la noche es como una mañana para ellos, no les preocupa el terror de la oscuridad.

For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.

No es amable con la viuda, y no tiene piedad por su hijo.
A la mujer estéril que no paría, afligió; y á la viuda nunca hizo bien.

Pero Dios, con su poder derriba al fuerte; cuando él actúa, nadie tiene segura la vida.
Mas á los fuertes adelantó con su poder: levantóse, y no se da por segura la vida.
He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.
Yet God preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.
Él quita su temor al peligro y le da apoyo; y sus ojos están en sus caminos.
Le dieron á crédito, y se afirmó: sus ojos están sobre los caminos de ellos.
Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways.
God gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.
Por un corto tiempo son exaltados; entonces se desaparecen, son humillados, se arrancan como fruta, y como las espigas se cortan.
Fueron ensalzados por un poco, mas desaparecen, y son abatidos como cada cual: serán encerrados, y cortados como cabezas de espigas.
They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.

Y si no es así, ahora, ¿quién dejará claro que mis palabras son falsas y que lo que digo no tiene ningún valor?
Y si no, ¿quién me desmentirá ahora, ó reducirá á nada mis palabras?
And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
If it isn’t so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?”
