Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
“El dominio y el temor le pertenecen a Dios; él mantiene el orden en las alturas del cielo.
El señorío y el temor están con él: él hace paz en sus alturas.
Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
“Dominion and fear are with him. He makes peace in his high places.
¿Acaso alguien puede contar sus ejércitos? ¿Sobre quién no brilla su luz?
¿Tienen sus ejércitos número? ¿y sobre quién no está su luz?
Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?
¿Cómo puede un simple mortal ser justo ante Dios? ¿Cómo puede ser puro el que ha nacido de mujer?
¿Cómo pues se justificará el hombre con Dios? ¿y cómo será limpio el que nace de mujer?
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?
Miren: para Dios, ni la luna tiene brillo ni las estrellas son puras ante su vista;
He aquí que ni aun la misma luna será resplandeciente, ni las estrellas son limpias delante de sus ojos:
Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;
¡mucho menos el hombre, que no es más que un gusano, ese hijo de hombre, que solo es una lombriz!”.
¿Cuánto menos el hombre que es un gusano, y el hijo de hombre, también gusano?
How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
How much less man, who is a worm, and the son of man, who is a worm!”
