1E BILDAD Suhita rispose, e disse:
2La signoria, e lo spavento, è con lui; Egli fa in pace ciò che gli piace ne' suoi cieli altissimi.
3Le sue schiere si posson esse annoverare? E sopra cui non si leva la sua luce?
4Ma come sarà giusto l'uomo appo Iddio? E come sarà puro colui ch'è nato di donna?
5Ecco, fino alla luna non sarà pura, e non risplenderà; E le stelle non saranno pure nel suo cospetto.
6Quanto meno l'uomo, che è un verme, E il figliuol dell'uomo, che è un vermicello?

2El señorío y el temor están con él: él hace paz en sus alturas.
3¿Tienen sus ejércitos número? ¿y sobre quién no está su luz?
4¿Cómo pues se justificará el hombre con Dios? ¿y cómo será limpio el que nace de mujer?
5He aquí que ni aun la misma luna será resplandeciente, ni las estrellas son limpias delante de sus ojos:
6¿Cuánto menos el hombre que es un gusano, y el hijo de hombre, también gusano?

1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
2Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
3Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
4How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
5Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
6How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

3Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?
