Bildad de Súah responde:
Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
«Dios es poderoso y temible. Él pone orden en las altura de los cielos.
El señorío y el temor están con él: él hace paz en sus alturas.
Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.
“Dominion and fear are with him. He makes peace in his high places.
¿Quién podrá contar sus ejércitos de ángeles? Y su luz se derrama sobre toda la tierra.
¿Tienen sus ejércitos número? ¿y sobre quién no está su luz?
Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?
Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?
¿Cómo puede el simple hombre plantarse ante Dios y pretender que es justo? ¿Quién en el mundo entero puede alardear de ser puro?
¿Cómo pues se justificará el hombre con Dios? ¿y cómo será limpio el que nace de mujer?
How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
How then can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?
Tan glorioso es Dios, que hasta la luna y las estrellas son menos que nada comparadas con él.
He aquí que ni aun la misma luna será resplandeciente, ni las estrellas son limpias delante de sus ojos:
Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.
Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight;
¡Cuánto más insignificante es el hombre, que no es más que un simple gusano a la vista de él!».
¿Cuánto menos el hombre que es un gusano, y el hijo de hombre, también gusano?
How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?
How much less man, who is a worm, and the son of man, who is a worm!”
