¿A quién quieres tú auxiliar? ¿Acaso a un débil? O ¿tal vez quieres sostener el brazo de quien no tiene bastante fuerza?
¿En qué ayudaste al que no tiene fuerza? ¿has amparado al brazo sin fortaleza?
How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength?
“How have you helped him who is without power! How have you saved the arm that has no strength!
¿A quién das consejo tú? ¿Acaso al que no tiene sabiduría? ¿Quieres tú ostentar una grandísima prudencia?
¿En qué aconsejaste al que no tiene ciencia, y mostraste bien sabiduría?
How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is?
How have you counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!
¿A quién has querido tú enseñar? ¿No ha sido aquel que creó los espíritus?
¿A quién has anunciado palabras, y cúyo es el espíritu que de ti sale?
To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?
To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out of you?
Mira cómo los gigantes gimen en los abismos debajo de las aguas, con los otros que están encerrados con ellos.
Cosas inanimadas son formadas debajo de las aguas, y los habitantes de ellas.
Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.
“The departed spirits tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.
El infierno está patente a sus ojos, y está encubierto a su vista el abismo de la perdición.
El sepulcro es descubierto delante de él, y el infierno no tiene cobertura.
Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.
Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.
El es quien extendió sobre vacío el septentrión y tiene suspendida la tierra en el aire.
Extiende el aquilón sobre vacío, cuelga la tierra sobre nada.
He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.

El es quien contiene las aguas en las nubes, para que no se precipiten de golpe hacia abajo;

el que impide la vista de su trono y le cubre con las nieblas que forma;
El restriñe la faz de su trono, y sobre él extiende su nube.
He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it.

el que puso términos o lindes a las aguas del mar para mientras duren en el mundo la luz y las tinieblas.
El cercó con término la superficie de las aguas, hasta el fin de la luz y las tinieblas.
He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.
He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.
Las columnas del cielo se estremecen y tiemblan a una mirada suya.
Las columnas del cielo tiemblan, y se espantan de su reprensión.
The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof.

By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

Todo lo dicho hasta aquí es una pequeña parte de sus grandes obras; mas si esto que hemos oído es solamente una pequeñísima muestra de las infinitas cosas que pueden decirse de él, ¿quién podrá sostenerse firme al trueno de su grandeza?
He aquí, estas son partes de sus caminos: ¡mas cuán poco hemos oído de él! Porque el estruendo de sus fortalezas, ¿quién lo detendrá?
Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?
Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?”
