Job comenzó a hablar de nuevo.
Y REASUMIÓ Job su discurso, y dijo:
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
Job again took up his parable, and said,
“Les prometo que, mientras viva Dios, que me ha negado la justicia; el Todopoderoso, que me ha amargado la vida,
Vive Dios, el cual ha apartado mi causa, y el Omnipotente, que amargó el alma mía,
As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment; and the Almighty, who hath vexed my soul;
“As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter
mientras tenga vida, mientras el aliento de Dios permanezca en mis fosas nasales,
Que todo el tiempo que mi alma estuviere en mí, y hubiere hálito de Dios en mis narices,
All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils;
(for the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils);
mis labios nunca dirán mentiras, mi lengua nunca será deshonesta.
Mis labios no hablarán iniquidad, ni mi lengua pronunciará engaño.
My lips shall not speak wickedness, nor my tongue utter deceit.
surely my lips will not speak unrighteousness, neither will my tongue utter deceit.
Nunca aceptaré que tengan la razón; insistiré en mi inocencia hasta el día de mi muerte.
Nunca tal acontezca que yo os justifique: hasta morir no quitaré de mí mi integridad.
God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.
Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
Estoy convencido de que tengo razón y nunca dejaré de creerlo; mi conciencia no me condenará mientras viva.
Mi justicia tengo asida, y no la cederé: no me reprochará mi corazón en el tiempo de mi vida.
My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: my heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.
I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart will not reproach me so long as I live.
“Que mi enemigo se vuelva como los malvados; que los que se oponen a mí se vuelvan como los que hacen el mal.
Sea como el impío mi enemigo, y como el inicuo mi adversario.
Let mine enemy be as the wicked, and he that riseth up against me as the unrighteous.
“Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.
Porque, ¿qué esperanza tienen los que rechazan a Dios, cuando él los derribe, cuando Dios ponga fin a sus vidas?
Porque ¿cuál es la esperanza del hipócrita, por mucho que hubiere robado, cuando Dios arrebatare su alma?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when God taketh away his soul?
For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?
Cuando les lleguen tiempos de angustia, ¿escuchará Dios su grito de auxilio?
¿Oirá Dios su clamor cuando la tribulación sobre él viniere?
Will God hear his cry when trouble cometh upon him?
Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?
¿Tienen una buena relación con el Todopoderoso? ¿Pueden invocar a Dios en cualquier momento?
¿Deleitaráse en el Omnipotente? ¿invocará á Dios en todo tiempo?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty? will he always call upon God?
Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?
Permítanme explicarles el poder de Dios. No voy a retener nada de lo que el Todopoderoso ha planeado.
Yo os enseñaré en orden á la mano de Dios: no esconderé lo que hay para con el Omnipotente.
I will teach you by the hand of God: that which is with the Almighty will I not conceal.
I will teach you about the hand of God. I will not conceal that which is with the Almighty.
Si todos ustedes han reconocido esto, ¿por qué hablan de tonterías tan vanas?
He aquí que todos vosotros lo habéis visto: ¿por qué pues os desvanecéis con fantasía?
Behold, all ye yourselves have seen it; why then are ye thus altogether vain?
Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; why then have you become altogether vain?
“Esto es lo que Dios dispone como destino para los malvados, esta es la herencia que los despiadados recibirán del Todopoderoso,
Esta es para con Dios la suerte del hombre impío, y la herencia que los violentos han de recibir del Omnipotente.
This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
“This is the portion of a wicked man with God, the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty.
aunque tengan muchos hijos, experimentarán muertes violentas o morirán de hambre.
Si sus hijos fueren multiplicados, serán para el cuchillo; y sus pequeños no se hartarán de pan;
If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword. His offspring will not be satisfied with bread.
Los que sobrevivan morirán de enfermedad, y ni siquiera sus viudas se lamentarán por ellos.
Los que le quedaren, en muerte serán sepultados; y no llorarán sus viudas.
Those that remain of him shall be buried in death: and his widows shall not weep.
Those who remain of him will be buried in death. His widows will make no lamentation.
Aunque amontonen plata como polvo y ropa como montones de barro,
Si amontonare plata como polvo, y si preparare ropa como lodo;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare raiment as the clay;
Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay;
los que hacen el bien se pondrán la ropa y los inocentes se repartirán la plata.
Habrála él preparado, mas el justo se vestirá, y el inocente repartirá la plata.
He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on, and the innocent shall divide the silver.

Construyen sus casas como la polilla; como un endeble refugio hecho por un vigilante.
Edificó su casa como la polilla, y cual cabaña que el guarda hizo.
He buildeth his house as a moth, and as a booth that the keeper maketh.
He builds his house as the moth, as a booth which the watchman makes.
Se acuestan ricos, pero nunca más. Porque cuando se despiertan, todo ha desaparecido.
El rico dormirá, mas no será recogido: abrirá sus ojos, mas él no será.
The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.
He lies down rich, but he will not do so again. He opens his eyes, and he is not.
Olas de pánico los inundan; en la noche un torbellino los arrebata.
Asirán de él terrores como aguas: torbellino lo arrebatará de noche.
Terrors take hold on him as waters, a tempest stealeth him away in the night.
Terrors overtake him like waters. A storm steals him away in the night.
El viento del este los levanta y se van, llevados lejos de donde estaban.
Lo antecogerá el solano, y partirá; y tempestad lo arrebatará del lugar suyo.
The east wind carrieth him away, and he departeth: and as a storm hurleth him out of his place.
The east wind carries him away, and he departs. It sweeps him out of his place.
El viento los golpea con toda su fuerza; intentan escapar desesperadamente.
Dios pues descargará sobre él, y no perdonará: hará él por huir de su mano.
For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain flee out of his hand.
For it hurls at him, and does not spare, as he flees away from his hand.
Las personas aplaudirles y sisearles allí donde estén”.
Batirán sus manos sobre él, y desde su lugar le silbarán.
Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.
Men will clap their hands at him, and will hiss him out of his place.
