MAS ahora los más mozos de días que yo, se ríen de mí; cuyos padres yo desdeñara ponerlos con los perros de mi ganado.
But now they that are younger than I have me in derision, whose fathers I would have disdained to have set with the dogs of my flock.

De que também me serviria força de suas mãos, nos quais o vigor já pereceu?
Porque ¿para qué yo habría menester la fuerza de sus manos, en los cuales había perecido con el tiempo?
Yea, whereto might the strength of their hands profit me, in whom old age was perished?
Of what use is the strength of their hands to me, men in whom ripe age has perished?
Por causa da pobreza e da fome andavam sós; roem na terra seca, no lugar desolado e deserto em trevas.

For want and famine they were solitary; fleeing into the wilderness in former time desolate and waste.

Porém agora sirvo-lhes de chacota, e sou para eles um provérbio de escárnio.

Eles me abominam e se afastam de mim; porém não hesitam em cuspir no meu rosto.
Abomínanme, aléjanse de mí, y aun de mi rostro no detuvieron su saliva.
They abhor me, they flee far from me, and spare not to spit in my face.
They abhor me, they stand aloof from me, and don’t hesitate to spit in my face.
Pois Deus desatou minha corda, e me oprimiu; por isso tiraram de si todo constrangimento perante meu rosto.
Porque Dios desató mi cuerda, y me afligió, por eso se desenfrenaron delante de mi rostro.
Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle before me.
For he has untied his cord, and afflicted me; and they have thrown off restraint before me.
À direita os jovens se levantam; empurram meus pés, e preparam contra mim seus caminhos de destruição.
A la mano derecha se levantaron los jóvenes; empujaron mis pies, y sentaron contra mí las vías de su ruina.
Upon my right hand rise the youth; they push away my feet, and they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.
On my right hand rise the rabble. They thrust aside my feet. They cast their ways of destruction up against me.
Destroem meu caminho, e promovem minha miséria, sem necessitarem que alguém os ajude.
Mi senda desbarataron, aprovecháronse de mi quebrantamiento, contra los cuales no hubo ayudador.
They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
They mar my path. They promote my destruction without anyone’s help.
Eles vêm contra mim como que por uma brecha larga, e revolvem-se entre a desolação.
Vinieron como por portillo ancho, revolviéronse á mi calamidad.
They came upon me as a wide breaking in of waters: in the desolation they rolled themselves upon me.
As through a wide breach they come. They roll themselves in amid the ruin.
Pavores se voltam contra mim; perseguem minha honra como o vento, e como nuvem passou minha prosperidade.
Hanse revuelto turbaciones sobre mí; combatieron como viento mi alma, y mi salud pasó como nube.
Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a cloud.
Terrors have turned on me. They chase my honor as the wind. My welfare has passed away as a cloud.
Por isso agora minha alma se derrama em mim; dias de aflição têm me tomado.
Y ahora mi alma está derramada en mí; días de aflicción me han aprehendido.
And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of affliction have taken hold upon me.
“Now my soul is poured out within me. Days of affliction have taken hold of me.
De noite meus ossos se furam em mim, e meus pulsos não descansam.
De noche taladra sobre mí mis huesos, y mis pulsos no reposan.
My bones are pierced in me in the night season: and my sinews take no rest.
In the night season my bones are pierced in me, and the pains that gnaw me take no rest.
Por grande força de Deus minha roupa está estragada; ele me prendeu como a gola de minha roupa.
Con la grande copia de materia mi vestidura está demudada; cíñeme como el cuello de mi túnica.
By the great force of my disease is my garment changed: it bindeth me about as the collar of my coat.
My garment is disfigured by great force. It binds me about as the collar of my tunic.
Lançou-me na lama, e fiquei semelhante ao pó e à cinza.
Derribóme en el lodo, y soy semejante al polvo y á la ceniza.
He hath cast me into the mire, and I am become like dust and ashes.

Clamo a ti, porém tu não me respondes; eu fico de pé, porém tu ficas apenas olhando para mim.

Por isso minha harpa passou a ser para lamentação, e minha flauta para vozes dos que choram.
Y hase tornado mi arpa en luto, y mi órgano en voz de lamentadores.
My harp also is turned to mourning, and my organ into the voice of them that weep.
