¿No hay quebrantamiento para el impío, y extrañamiento para los que obran iniquidad?
Is not destruction to the wicked? and a strange punishment to the workers of iniquity?
Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, and disaster to the workers of iniquity?
Le Seigneur ne me tiendra-t-il pas compte de mes voies, ni de la manière dont j'ai marché ?
¿No ve él mis caminos, y cuenta todos mis pasos?

Ceux que j'avais à juger n'avaient-ils pas été comme moi, conçus en des entrailles ? n'était-ce pas comme si les mêmes flancs nous avaient portés ?

Si j'ai laissé l'étranger passer la nuit en plein air, et si ma porte ne s'est pas ouverte à tout venant.
El extranjero no tenía fuera la noche; mis puertas abría al caminante.
The stranger did not lodge in the street: but I opened my doors to the traveller.

Retenu par la honte de les avouer devant la multitude ; si j'ai souffert que le pauvre sortît de ma maison l'estomac vide ;
Porque quebrantaba á la gran multitud, y el menosprecio de las familias me atemorizó, y callé, y no salí de mi puerta:
Did I fear a great multitude, or did the contempt of families terrify me, that I kept silence, and went not out of the door?

Qui me donnera quelqu'un qui m'écoute ? Si je n'ai point eu crainte de la main du Seigneur ; le titre que j'avais contre autrui,
¡Quién me diera quien me oyese! He aquí mi impresión es que el Omnipotente testificaría por mí, aunque mi adversario me hiciera el proceso.
Oh that one would hear me! behold, my desire is, that the Almighty would answer me, and that mine adversary had written a book.
oh that I had one to hear me! Behold, here is my signature! Let the Almighty answer me! Let the accuser write my indictment!
Que j'avais lu les épaules ceintes d'une couronne,
Ciertamente yo lo llevaría sobre mi hombro, y me lo ataría en lugar de corona.
Surely I would take it upon my shoulder, and bind it as a crown to me.

Si je ne l'ai point remis, après l'avoir déchiré, sans rien exiger du débiteur ;
Yo le contaría el número de mis pasos, y como príncipe me llegaría á él.
I would declare unto him the number of my steps; as a prince would I go near unto him.

Si jamais la terre a gémi contre moi, si ses sillons ont pleuré tous ensemble,

Que les champs, au lieu de froment, ne produisent pour moi que des orties ; et au lieu d'orge que des ronces. Et Job cessa de parler.
