Job 32

Then these three men ceased from answering Job because he was righteous in his own eyes.

So Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite, from the clan of Ram, ⌞became angry⌟. ⌞He became angry⌟ at Job because he justified himself rather than God,

Entonces Eliú hijo de Barachêl, Bucita,, de la familia de Ram, se enojó con furor contra Job: enojóse con furor, por cuanto justificaba su vida más que á Dios.

Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.

Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.

and ⌞he became angry⌟ at his three friends because they had not found an answer, and they had declared Job guilty.

Enojóse asimismo con furor contra sus tres amigos, porque no hallaban qué responder, aunque habían condenado á Job.

Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.

Thus Elihu had waited for Job ⌞to speak⌟ because ⌞they were older than he⌟.

Y Eliú había esperado á Job en la disputa, porque eran más viejos de días que él.

Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, ⌞he became angry⌟.

Empero viendo Eliú que no había respuesta en la boca de aquellos tres varones, su furor se encendió.

When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.

Then Elihu the son of Barakel the Buzite ⌞spoke up⌟ and said, “⌞I am young⌟, but you are old; therefore I feared and became afraid of explaining my knowledge to you.

Y respondió Eliú hijo de Barachêl, Bucita, y dijo: Yo soy menor de días, y vosotros viejos; he tenido por tanto miedo, y temido declararos mi opinión.

And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.

Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, “I am young, and you are very old. Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.

I thought, ‘Let days speak, and let many years teach wisdom.’

I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.

“Truly, it is a spirit in a human being, and the breath of Shaddai teaches them.

Ciertamente espíritu hay en el hombre, é inspiración del Omnipotente los hace que entiendan.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

But there is a spirit in man, and the Spirit of the Almighty gives them understanding.

It is not ⌞the aged⌟ who are wise, or it is not the elders who understand justice.

No los grandes son los sabios, ni los viejos entienden el derecho.

Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.

Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me; let me also declare my knowledge myself.’

Por tanto yo dije: Escuchadme; declararé yo también mi sabiduría.

Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.

Therefore I said, ‘Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.’

“Look, I waited for your words; I listened for your insight, until you searched out ⌞what to say⌟.

He aquí yo he esperado á vuestras razones, he escuchado vuestros argumentos, en tanto que buscabais palabras.

Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.

“Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.

And I directed my attention to you; and, look, there is no one for Job who refuted, answering his words among you.

Os he pues prestado atención, y he aquí que no hay de vosotros quien redarguya á Job, y responda á sus razones.

Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:

Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.

So do not say, ‘We have found wisdom; let God refute him, not a man.’

Porque no digáis: Nosotros hemos hallado sabiduría: lanzólo Dios, no el hombre.

Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.

Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom. God may refute him, not man;’

But he did not direct his words to me, and I will not answer him with your words.

Ahora bien, Job no enderezó á mí sus palabras, ni yo le responderé con vuestras razones.

Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.

for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.

“They are dismayed; they no longer answer; ⌞they have nothing to say⌟.

Espantáronse, no respondieron más: fuéronseles los razonamientos.

They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.

“They are amazed. They answer no more. They don’t have a word to say.

And I have waited because they do not speak, because they stand there and no longer answer.

Yo pues he esperado, porque no hablaban, antes pararon, y no respondieron más.

When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)

Shall I wait, because they don’t speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?

I myself will answer my share also; I myself will declare my knowledge also,

Por eso yo también responderé mi parte, también yo declararé mi juicio.

I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.

I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.

for I am full of words; ⌞the spirit within me⌟ urges me.

Porque lleno estoy de palabras, y el espíritu de mi vientre me constriñe.

For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.

For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.

“Look, my internal organs are like unopened wine, like new wineskins it is ready to burst open.

De cierto mi vientre está como el vino que no tiene respiradero, y se rompe como odres nuevos.

Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.

Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.

Let me speak ⌞that I may find relief⌟; let me open my lips, and let me answer.

Hablaré pues y respiraré; abriré mis labios, y responderé.

I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.

⌞Please let me not show partiality to anyone⌟, and let me not show flattery to human beings,

No haré ahora acepción de personas, ni usaré con hombre de lisonjeros títulos.

Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.

Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.

for I do not know how ⌞to flatter⌟, else my Maker would ⌞soon⌟ put an end to me.

Porque no sé hablar lisonjas: de otra manera en breve mi Hacedor me consuma.

For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

For I don’t know how to give flattering titles, or else my Maker would soon take me away.
