Palabra de Dios para Ti
1Aquellos tres hombres cesaron de replicar a Job, porque él era justo ante sus propios ojos.
2Entonces Eliú, hijo de Baraquel, buzita, de la familia de Ram, se encendió en ira contra Job, porque él se justificaba a sí mismo delante de ʼElohim.
3También se enardeció contra sus tres amigos, porque no hallaron respuesta, sin embargo condenaron a Job.
4Eliú esperó en la disputa con Job, porque ellos eran mayores que él.
5Pero al ver Eliú que no había respuesta en la boca de aquellos tres hombres, se encendió en ira.
6Eliú tomó la palabra, hijo de Baraquel, buzita: Yo soy menor y ustedes son ancianos. Por eso me abstuve y temí declararles mi opinión.
7Yo pensé: La edad debe hablar. El número de años debe enseñar sabiduría.
8Pero el que le da entendimiento es el espíritu en el hombre, el soplo del ʼEL-Shadday.
9No son sabios los de mucha edad, ni los ancianos entienden justicia.
10Por eso digo: ¡Escúchenme! También yo declararé lo que pienso.
11Ciertamente esperé sus palabras, escuché sus razones mientras buscaban qué decir.
12Les presté atención. Ciertamente no hay alguno de ustedes que redarguya a Job y responda sus razonamientos.
13No digan: Hallamos la sabiduría. ʼElohim lo derrotará de manera aplastante, no el hombre.
14Él no dirigió sus palabras contra mí, ni yo le responderé con las palabras de ustedes.
15Se desconcertaron, ya no responden. Sus palabras los abandonaron.
16¿Debo esperar porque no hablan, porque cesaron y ya no responden?
17Yo también responderé mi parte. Yo también expresaré mi opinión,
18porque estoy lleno de palabras, y el espíritu me obliga dentro de mí.
19Ciertamente mis órganos internos son como vino sin respiradero y están a punto de reventar como odres nuevos.
20Hablaré y me desahogaré. Abriré mi boca y responderé.
21No haré ahora acepción de personas, ni me permitiré adular a algún hombre,
22porque nunca supe adular. De otra manera, mi Hacedor pronto me consumiría.

1Y CESARON estos tres varones de responder á Job, por cuanto él era justo en sus ojos.
2Entonces Eliú hijo de Barachêl, Bucita,, de la familia de Ram, se enojó con furor contra Job: enojóse con furor, por cuanto justificaba su vida más que á Dios.
3Enojóse asimismo con furor contra sus tres amigos, porque no hallaban qué responder, aunque habían condenado á Job.
4Y Eliú había esperado á Job en la disputa, porque eran más viejos de días que él.
5Empero viendo Eliú que no había respuesta en la boca de aquellos tres varones, su furor se encendió.
6Y respondió Eliú hijo de Barachêl, Bucita, y dijo: Yo soy menor de días, y vosotros viejos; he tenido por tanto miedo, y temido declararos mi opinión.
7Yo decía: Los días hablarán, y la muchedumbre de años declarará sabiduría.
8Ciertamente espíritu hay en el hombre, é inspiración del Omnipotente los hace que entiendan.
9No los grandes son los sabios, ni los viejos entienden el derecho.
10Por tanto yo dije: Escuchadme; declararé yo también mi sabiduría.
11He aquí yo he esperado á vuestras razones, he escuchado vuestros argumentos, en tanto que buscabais palabras.
12Os he pues prestado atención, y he aquí que no hay de vosotros quien redarguya á Job, y responda á sus razones.
13Porque no digáis: Nosotros hemos hallado sabiduría: lanzólo Dios, no el hombre.
14Ahora bien, Job no enderezó á mí sus palabras, ni yo le responderé con vuestras razones.
15Espantáronse, no respondieron más: fuéronseles los razonamientos.
16Yo pues he esperado, porque no hablaban, antes pararon, y no respondieron más.
17Por eso yo también responderé mi parte, también yo declararé mi juicio.
18Porque lleno estoy de palabras, y el espíritu de mi vientre me constriñe.
19De cierto mi vientre está como el vino que no tiene respiradero, y se rompe como odres nuevos.
20Hablaré pues y respiraré; abriré mis labios, y responderé.
21No haré ahora acepción de personas, ni usaré con hombre de lisonjeros títulos.
22Porque no sé hablar lisonjas: de otra manera en breve mi Hacedor me consuma.

1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2Then was kindled the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the kindred of Ram: against Job was his wrath kindled, because he justified himself rather than God.
3Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4Now Elihu had waited till Job had spoken, because they were elder than he.
5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, then his wrath was kindled.
6And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion.
7I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.
8But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.
9Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.
10Therefore I said, Hearken to me; I also will shew mine opinion.
11Behold, I waited for your words; I gave ear to your reasons, whilst ye searched out what to say.
12Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
13Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
14Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.
16When I had waited, (for they spake not, but stood still, and answered no more;)
17I said, I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion.
18For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me.
19Behold, my belly is as wine which hath no vent; it is ready to burst like new bottles.
20I will speak, that I may be refreshed: I will open my lips and answer.
21Let me not, I pray you, accept any man’s person, neither let me give flattering titles unto man.
22For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.

1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.
3Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were older than he.
5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
6Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, “I am young, and you are very old. Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.
7I said, ‘Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.’
8But there is a spirit in man, and the Spirit of the Almighty gives them understanding.
9It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.
10Therefore I said, ‘Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.’
11“Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.
12Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.
13Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom. God may refute him, not man;’
14for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15“They are amazed. They answer no more. They don’t have a word to say.
16Shall I wait, because they don’t speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?
17I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.
18For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.
19Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.
20I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.
21Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.
22For I don’t know how to give flattering titles, or else my Maker would soon take me away.
