dei-lhes toda a atenção, mas nenhum de vocês provou que Jó estava errado. Nenhum de vocês respondeu às suas palavras.
Os he pues prestado atención, y he aquí que no hay de vosotros quien redarguya á Job, y responda á sus razones.
Yea, I attended unto you, and, behold, there was none of you that convinced Job, or that answered his words:
Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.
E não me venham com desculpas, dizendo que Jó tem razão em parte e somente Deus pode mostrar a ele qual foi o seu pecado.
Porque no digáis: Nosotros hemos hallado sabiduría: lanzólo Dios, no el hombre.
Lest ye should say, We have found out wisdom: God thrusteth him down, not man.
Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom. God may refute him, not man;’
Jó não me disse uma palavra ainda, mas se tivesse dito, eu nunca teria respondido como vocês responderam.
Ahora bien, Job no enderezó á mí sus palabras, ni yo le responderé con vuestras razones.
Now he hath not directed his words against me: neither will I answer him with your speeches.
for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
“Agora vocês estão aí sentados, de boca aberta, sem se explicar, sem saber o que dizer.
Espantáronse, no respondieron más: fuéronseles los razonamientos.
They were amazed, they answered no more: they left off speaking.

Será que também devo ficar em silêncio, esperando que algum de vocês encontre uma resposta?

mesmo porque não sei fazer elogios mentirosos. Serei sincero, para que o meu Criador não me castigue com a morte”.
Porque no sé hablar lisonjas: de otra manera en breve mi Hacedor me consuma.
For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.
