Mis razones declararán la rectitud de mi corazón, y mis labios proferirán pura sabiduría.

Ich bin rein, ohne Missetat, unschuldig und habe keine Sünde.
Heme aquí á mí en lugar de Dios, conforme á tu dicho: de lodo soy yo también formado.

Siehe, er hat eine Sache wider mich funden, darum achtet er mich für seinen Feind.

da öffnet er das Ohr der Leute und schreckt sie und züchtiget sie,

Si tuviera cerca de él algún elocuente anunciador muy escogido, que anuncie al hombre su deber;
If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness:
“If there is beside him an angel, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him,
Er wird vor den Leuten bekennen und sagen: Ich wollte gesündiget und das Recht verkehret haben, aber es hätte mir nichts genützet.

El mira sobre los hombres; y el que dijere: Pequé, y pervertí lo recto, y no me ha aprovechado;
He looketh upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it profited me not;
He sings before men, and says, ‘I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, and it didn’t profit me.
Merke auf, Hiob, und höre mir zu, und schweige, daß ich rede!
Dios redimirá su alma, que no pase al sepulcro, y su vida se verá en luz.
He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

Hast du aber was zu sagen, so antworte mir; sage her, bist du recht, ich will's gerne hören.
He aquí, todas estas cosas hace Dios dos y tres veces con el hombre;
Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man,
“Behold, God does all these things, twice, yes three times, with a man,
Hast du aber nichts, so höre mir zu und schweige, ich will dich die Weisheit lehren.

Höret, ihr Weisen, meine Rede, und ihr Verständigen, merket auf mich!
Que si tuvieres razones, respóndeme: habla, porque yo te quiero justificar.

Denn das Ohr prüfet die Rede, und der Mund schmecket die Speise.
