Job 34

Und Elihu hob wieder an und sprach:

ADEMÁS respondió Eliú, y dijo:

Furthermore Elihu answered and said,

Moreover Elihu answered,

Hört, ihr Weisen, meine Worte, und ihr Kundigen, gebt mir Gehör!

Oid, sabios, mis palabras; y vosotros, doctos, estadme atentos.

Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.

“Hear my words, you wise men. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.

Denn das Ohr prüft die Worte, wie der Gaumen die Speise kostet.

Porque el oído prueba las palabras, como el paladar gusta para comer.

For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.

For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.

Erwählen wir für uns, was recht, erkennen wir unter uns, was gut ist!

Escojamos para nosotros el juicio, conozcamos entre nosotros cuál sea lo bueno:

Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.

Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.

Denn Hiob hat gesagt: Ich bin gerecht, und Gott hat mir mein Recht entzogen.

Porque Job ha dicho: Yo soy justo, y Dios me ha quitado mi derecho.

For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.

For Job has said, ‘I am righteous, God has taken away my right.

Trotz meines Rechtes soll ich lügen; meine Wunde ist unheilbar, ohne dass ich übertreten habe.

¿He de mentir yo contra mi razón? Mi saeta es gravosa sin haber yo prevaricado.

Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.

Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’

Wer ist ein Mann wie Hiob, der Hohn trinkt wie Wasser

¿Qué hombre hay como Job, que bebe el escarnio como agua?

What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?

What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,

und in Gesellschaft geht mit denen, die Frevel tun, und wandelt mit gottlosen Menschen?

Y va en compañía con los que obran iniquidad, y anda con los hombres maliciosos.

Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?

Denn er hat gesagt: Keinen Nutzen hat ein Mann davon, dass er Wohlgefallen an Gott hat!

Porque ha dicho: De nada servirá al hombre el conformar su voluntad con Dios.

For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.

For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.’

Darum hört mir zu, ihr Männer von Verstand! Fern sei Gott von Gottlosigkeit und der Allmächtige von Unrecht!

Por tanto, varones de seso, oidme: Lejos esté de Dios la impiedad, y del Omnipotente la iniquidad.

Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

“Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

Sondern des Menschen Tun vergilt er ihm, und nach jemandes Wege lässt er es ihn finden.

Porque él pagará al hombre según su obra, y él le hará hallar conforme á su camino.

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

For the work of a man he will give to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

Ja, wahrlich, Gott handelt nicht gottlos, und der Allmächtige beugt nicht das Recht.

Sí, por cierto, Dios no hará injusticia, y el Omnipotente no pervertirá el derecho.

Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.

Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.

Wer hat ihm die Erde anvertraut? Und wer den ganzen Erdkreis gegründet?

¿Quién visitó por él la tierra? ¿y quién puso en orden todo el mundo?

Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?

Who put him in charge of the earth? Or who has appointed him over the whole world?

Wenn er sein Herz nur auf sich selbst richtete, seinen Geist und seinen Odem an sich zurückzöge,

Si él pusiese sobre el hombre su corazón, y recogiese así su espíritu y su aliento,

If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;

If he set his heart on himself, if he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,

so würde alles Fleisch insgesamt verscheiden und der Mensch zum Staub zurückkehren.

Toda carne perecería juntamente, y el hombre se tornaría en polvo.

All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.

Und wenn du doch dieses einsehen und hören, der Stimme meiner Worte Gehör schenken wolltest!

Si pues hay en ti entendimiento, oye esto: escucha la voz de mis palabras.

If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

“If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.

Sollte auch herrschen, wer das Recht hasst? Oder willst du den Allgerechten verdammen?

¿Enseñorearáse el que aborrece juicio? ¿y condenarás tú al que es tan justo?

Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?

Should even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty,

Sagt man zu einem König: Belial? Zu Edlen: Du Gottloser?

¿Hase de decir al rey: Perverso; y á los príncipes: Impíos?

Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?

who says to a king, ‘Vile!’ or to nobles, ‘Wicked!’?

Wieviel weniger zu ihm, der die Person der Fürsten nicht ansieht und den Reichen nicht vor dem Armen berücksichtigt! Denn sie alle sind das Werk seiner Hände.

¿Cuánto menos á aquel que no hace acepción de personas de príncipes, ni el rico es de él más respetado que el pobre? porque todos son obras de sus manos.

How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.

He doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respect the rich more than the poor, for they all are the work of his hands.

In einem Augenblick sterben sie; und in der Mitte der Nacht wird ein Volk erschüttert und vergeht, und Mächtige werden beseitigt ohne Hand.

En un momento morirán, y á media noche se alborotarán los pueblos, y pasarán, y sin mano será quitado el poderoso.

In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.

In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.

Denn seine Augen sind auf die Wege des Menschen gerichtet, und er sieht alle seine Schritte.

Porque sus ojos están sobre los caminos del hombre, y ve todos sus pasos.

For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.

“For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.

Da ist keine Finsternis und kein Todesschatten, dass sich darin verbergen könnten, die Frevel tun.

No hay tinieblas ni sombra de muerte donde se encubran los que obran maldad.

There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

Denn er braucht nicht lange auf einen Menschen acht zu geben, damit er vor Gott ins Gericht komme.

No carga pues él al hombre más de lo justo, para que vaya con Dios á juicio.

For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.

For he doesn’t need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.

Er zerschmettert Gewaltige ohne Untersuchung und setzt andere an ihre Stelle.

El quebrantará á los fuertes sin pesquisa, y hará estar otros en su lugar.

He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.

He breaks mighty men in pieces in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.

Daher kennt er ihre Handlungen, und kehrt sie um über Nacht; und sie werden zermalmt.

Por tanto él hará notorias las obras de ellos, cuando los trastornará en la noche, y serán quebrantados.

Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

Er schlägt sie wie Übeltäter auf öffentlichem Platz,

Como á malos los herirá en lugar donde sean vistos:

He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;

weil sie von seiner Nachfolge abgewichen sind und alle seine Wege nicht bedacht haben,

Por cuanto así se apartaron de él, y no consideraron todos sus caminos;

Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

because they turned away from following him, and wouldn’t pay attention to any of his ways,

um zu ihm hinaufdringen zu lassen das Schreien des Armen, und damit er das Schreien der Elenden höre.

Haciendo venir delante de él el clamor del pobre, y que oiga el clamor de los necesitados.

So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.

Schafft er Ruhe, wer will beunruhigen? Und verbirgt er das Angesicht, wer kann ihn schauen? So handelt er sowohl gegen ein Volk, als auch gegen einen Menschen zumal,

Y si él diere reposo, ¿quién inquietará? si escondiere el rostro, ¿quién lo mirará? Esto sobre una nación, y lo mismo sobre un hombre;

When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:

When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? He is over a nation or a man alike,

damit der gesetzlose Mensch nicht regiere, damit sie nicht Fallstricke des Volkes seien.

Haciendo que no reine el hombre hipócrita para vejaciones del pueblo.

That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.

that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.

Denn hat er wohl zu Gott gesagt: Ich trage meine Strafe, ich will nicht mehr böse handeln;

De seguro conviene se diga á Dios: Llevado he ya castigo, no más ofenderé:

Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

“For has any said to God, ‘I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.

was ich nicht sehe, zeige du mir; wenn ich Unrecht verübt habe, so will ich es nicht mehr tun?

Enséñame tú lo que yo no veo: que si hice mal, no lo haré más.

That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?

Soll nach deinem Sinn er es vergelten? Denn du hast seine Vergeltung verworfen, und so musst du wählen, und nicht ich; was du weißt, rede denn!

¿Ha de ser eso según tu mente? El te retribuirá, ora rehuses, ora aceptes, y no yo: di si no, lo que tú sabes.

Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.

Männer von Verstand werden zu mir sagen, und ein weiser Mann, der mir zuhört:

Los hombres de seso dirán conmigo, y el hombre sabio me oirá:

Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me:

Hiob redet nicht mit Erkenntnis, und seine Worte sind ohne Einsicht.

Que Job no habla con sabiduría, y que sus palabras no son con entendimiento.

Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

‘Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.’

Ach, dass doch Hiob fort und fort geprüft würde wegen seiner Antworten nach Frevlerart!

Deseo yo que Job sea probado ampliamente, á causa de sus respuestas por los hombres inicuos.

My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.

Denn er fügt seiner Sünde Übertretung hinzu, klatscht unter uns in die Hände und vermehrt seine Worte gegen Gott.

Porque á su pecado añadió impiedad: bate las manos entre nosotros, y contra Dios multiplica sus palabras.

For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.”
