Furthermore Elihu answered and said,
Moreover Elihu answered,
Ecoutez, ô sages, mes discours, et vous, hommes instruits, prêtez-moi votre attention.
Oid, sabios, mis palabras; y vosotros, doctos, estadme atentos.
Hear my words, O ye wise men; and give ear unto me, ye that have knowledge.
“Hear my words, you wise men. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
Car l'oreille apprécie les discours comme le palais déguste la nourriture.
Porque el oído prueba las palabras, como el paladar gusta para comer.
For the ear trieth words, as the mouth tasteth meat.
For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.
Mettons-nous en quête de ce qui est juste, examinons entre nous ce qui est bon.
Escojamos para nosotros el juicio, conozcamos entre nosotros cuál sea lo bueno:
Let us choose to us judgment: let us know among ourselves what is good.
Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
Car Job a dit: "Je suis innocent, et Dieu m'a refusé justice.
Porque Job ha dicho: Yo soy justo, y Dios me ha quitado mi derecho.
For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
For Job has said, ‘I am righteous, God has taken away my right.
En dépit de mon bon droit, je passe pour menteur; cruel est le coup qui m'a frappé, sans que j'aie failli!"
¿He de mentir yo contra mi razón? Mi saeta es gravosa sin haber yo prevaricado.
Should I lie against my right? my wound is incurable without transgression.
Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’
Y a-t-il un homme comme Job, buvant le blasphème comme de l'eau,
¿Qué hombre hay como Job, que bebe el escarnio como agua?
What man is like Job, who drinketh up scorning like water?
What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,
faisant cause commune avec les artisans d'iniquité et allant de pair avec les malfaiteurs?
Y va en compañía con los que obran iniquidad, y anda con los hombres maliciosos.
Which goeth in company with the workers of iniquity, and walketh with wicked men.

Car il a dit: "L'homme ne gagne rien à être en bons termes avec Dieu!"
Porque ha dicho: De nada servirá al hombre el conformar su voluntad con Dios.
For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.’
C'est pourquoi, gens d'intelligence, écoutez-moi: loin de Dieu l'iniquité et du Tout-Puissant l'injustice!
Por tanto, varones de seso, oidme: Lejos esté de Dios la impiedad, y del Omnipotente la iniquidad.
Therefore hearken unto me, ye men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness; and from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

Car il paie chacun selon ses œuvres et lui assigne le sort mérité par sa conduite.
Porque él pagará al hombre según su obra, y él le hará hallar conforme á su camino.
For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
For the work of a man he will give to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
Non, en vérité, Dieu ne commet pas de mal, le Tout-Puissant ne fausse pas la justice.
Sí, por cierto, Dios no hará injusticia, y el Omnipotente no pervertirá el derecho.
Yea, surely God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert judgment.
Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
Qui lui a confié la direction de la terre? Qui a mis tout l'univers entre ses mains?
¿Quién visitó por él la tierra? ¿y quién puso en orden todo el mundo?
Who hath given him a charge over the earth? or who hath disposed the whole world?
Who put him in charge of the earth? Or who has appointed him over the whole world?
S'il n'avait de pensée que pour lui-même, s'il retirait à lui son esprit et son souffle,
Si él pusiese sobre el hombre su corazón, y recogiese así su espíritu y su aliento,
If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his spirit and his breath;
If he set his heart on himself, if he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,
toutes les créatures périraient du coup, et l'homme retournerait à la poussière.
Toda carne perecería juntamente, y el hombre se tornaría en polvo.
All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again unto dust.

Or, si tu jouis de ton bon sens, écoute ceci, prête l'oreille au son de mes paroles:
Si pues hay en ti entendimiento, oye esto: escucha la voz de mis palabras.
If now thou hast understanding, hear this: hearken to the voice of my words.

Celui qui hait la justice pourrait-il régner? Oseras-tu incriminer l'Etre infiniment juste?
¿Enseñorearáse el que aborrece juicio? ¿y condenarás tú al que es tan justo?
Shall even he that hateth right govern? and wilt thou condemn him that is most just?
Should even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty,
Est-il permis de dire au roi: "scélérat!" et aux princes: "criminels!"
¿Hase de decir al rey: Perverso; y á los príncipes: Impíos?
Is it fit to say to a king, Thou art wicked? and to princes, Ye are ungodly?
who says to a king, ‘Vile!’ or to nobles, ‘Wicked!’?
Eh bien! Lui ne prend pas parti pour les grands, et ne favorise pas le riche contre le pauvre, car ils sont tous l'œuvre de sa main.
¿Cuánto menos á aquel que no hace acepción de personas de príncipes, ni el rico es de él más respetado que el pobre? porque todos son obras de sus manos.
How much less to him that accepteth not the persons of princes, nor regardeth the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
He doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respect the rich more than the poor, for they all are the work of his hands.
En un clin d'œil, ils meurent, et au milieu de la nuit, le peuple s'agite et ils disparaissent; on supprime les puissants, sans qu'une main se lève.
En un momento morirán, y á media noche se alborotarán los pueblos, y pasarán, y sin mano será quitado el poderoso.
In a moment shall they die, and the people shall be troubled at midnight, and pass away: and the mighty shall be taken away without hand.
In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.
C'est que ses yeux sont ouverts sur les voies de l'homme, il observe chacun de ses pas.
Porque sus ojos están sobre los caminos del hombre, y ve todos sus pasos.
For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings.
“For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.
Point de ténèbres, point d'ombre si profonde où puissent se cacher les malfaiteurs.
No hay tinieblas ni sombra de muerte donde se encubran los que obran maldad.
There is no darkness, nor shadow of death, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
Car Dieu n'a pas besoin de surveiller longuement un homme, pour le faire comparaître en justice.
No carga pues él al hombre más de lo justo, para que vaya con Dios á juicio.
For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
For he doesn’t need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.
Il brise les puissants sans long examen et met d'autres à leur place.
El quebrantará á los fuertes sin pesquisa, y hará estar otros en su lugar.
He shall break in pieces mighty men without number, and set others in their stead.
He breaks mighty men in pieces in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.
C'est parce qu'il connaît leurs œuvres, qu'il les renverse de nuit et les écrase.
Por tanto él hará notorias las obras de ellos, cuando los trastornará en la noche, y serán quebrantados.
Therefore he knoweth their works, and he overturneth them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
En qualité d'impies, il les frappe aux yeux de nombreux spectateurs,
Como á malos los herirá en lugar donde sean vistos:
He striketh them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
les punissant de s'être détournés de lui, d'avoir méconnu toutes ses voies,
Por cuanto así se apartaron de él, y no consideraron todos sus caminos;
Because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:
because they turned away from following him, and wouldn’t pay attention to any of his ways,
d'avoir fait monter jusqu'à lui les cris du faible, et retentir à ses oreilles la protestation des miséreux.
Haciendo venir delante de él el clamor del pobre, y que oiga el clamor de los necesitados.
So that they cause the cry of the poor to come unto him, and he heareth the cry of the afflicted.

Et s'il fait l'apaisement, qui le lui reprochera? Quand il cache sa face, qui pourra le voir? II domine et sur les nations et sur les individus,
Y si él diere reposo, ¿quién inquietará? si escondiere el rostro, ¿quién lo mirará? Esto sobre una nación, y lo mismo sobre un hombre;
When he giveth quietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? He is over a nation or a man alike,
ne voulant pas du règne des hommes pervers, de ceux qui sont un piège pour les peuples.
Haciendo que no reine el hombre hipócrita para vejaciones del pueblo.
That the hypocrite reign not, lest the people be ensnared.
that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
Se peut-il qu'on dise à Dieu: "J'ai expié sans être coupable.
De seguro conviene se diga á Dios: Llevado he ya castigo, no más ofenderé:
Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:
“For has any said to God, ‘I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.
Ce qu'il m'est impossible de voir, apprends-le moi toi-même; si j'ai commis des injustices, je ne récidiverai pas?"
Enséñame tú lo que yo no veo: que si hice mal, no lo haré más.
That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.
Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?
Est-ce sous ton inspiration qu'Il doit rémunérer, parce que tu exprimes ton dédain ou que tu manifestes tes préférences, toi et non moi? Ce que tu sais, expose-le donc.
¿Ha de ser eso según tu mente? El te retribuirá, ora rehuses, ora aceptes, y no yo: di si no, lo que tú sabes.
Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.
Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.
Les gens sensés me le diront, les hommes sages qui m'écoutent:
Los hombres de seso dirán conmigo, y el hombre sabio me oirá:
Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.
Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me:
"Job ne discourt pas en connaissance de cause, ses paroles ne sont pas raisonnables.
Que Job no habla con sabiduría, y que sus palabras no son con entendimiento.
Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.
‘Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.’
Mon souhait serait que Job fût éprouvé encore longtemps, à cause de ses réponses dignes d'hommes iniques;
Deseo yo que Job sea probado ampliamente, á causa de sus respuestas por los hombres inicuos.
My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.
I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.
car à son péché il ajoute une faute plus grave: il pense triompher au milieu de nous et prodigue ses propos contre Dieu."
Porque á su pecado añadió impiedad: bate las manos entre nosotros, y contra Dios multiplica sus palabras.
For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.
For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.”
