Und Elihu fuhr fort und sprach:

Harre mir ein wenig, und ich will dir berichten; denn noch sind Worte da für Gott.

Espérame un poco, y enseñarte he; porque todavía tengo razones en orden á Dios.

Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.

“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.

Ich will mein Wissen von weither holen, und meinem Schöpfer Gerechtigkeit geben.

Tomaré mi noticia de lejos, y atribuiré justicia á mi Hacedor.

I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.

Denn wahrlich, meine Worte sind keine Lüge; ein an Wissen Vollkommener ist bei dir.

Porque de cierto no son mentira mis palabras; contigo está el que es íntegro en sus conceptos.

For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.

For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.

Siehe, Gott ist mächtig, und doch verachtet er niemand, mächtig an Kraft des Verstandes.

He aquí que Dios es grande, mas no desestima á nadie: es poderoso en fuerza de sabiduría.

Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.

“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.

Er erhält den Gesetzlosen nicht am Leben, und das Recht der Elenden gewährt er.

No otorgará vida al impío, y á los afligidos dará su derecho.

He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.

He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.

Er zieht seine Augen nicht ab von dem Gerechten, und mit Königen auf den Thron, dahin setzt er sie auf immerdar, und sie sind erhöht.

No quitará sus ojos del justo; antes bien con los reyes los pondrá en solio para siempre, y serán ensalzados.

He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

He doesn’t withdraw his eyes from the righteous, but with kings on the throne, he sets them forever, and they are exalted.

Und wenn sie mit Fesseln gebunden sind, in Stricken des Elends gefangen werden,

Y si estuvieren prendidos en grillos, y aprisionados en las cuerdas de aflicción,

And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;

If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,

dann macht er ihnen kund ihr Tun und ihre Übertretungen, daß sie sich trotzig gebärdeten;

El les dará á conocer la obra de ellos, y que prevalecieron sus rebeliones.

Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

und er öffnet ihr Ohr der Zucht und spricht, daß sie umkehren sollen vom Frevel.

Despierta además el oído de ellos para la corrección, y díceles que se conviertan de la iniquidad.

He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

He also opens their ears to instruction, and commands that they return from iniquity.

Wenn sie hören und sich unterwerfen, so werden sie ihre Tage in Wohlfahrt verbringen und ihre Jahre in Annehmlichkeiten.

Si oyeren, y le sirvieren, acabarán sus días en bien, y sus años en deleites.

If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.

Wenn sie aber nicht hören, so rennen sie ins Geschoß und verscheiden ohne Erkenntnis.

Mas si no oyeren, serán pasados á cuchillo, y perecerán sin sabiduría.

But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.

But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.

Aber die ruchlosen Herzens sind, hegen Zorn: sie rufen nicht um Hilfe, wenn er sie gefesselt hat.

Empero los hipócritas de corazón lo irritarán más, y no clamarán cuando él los atare.

But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.

“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.

Ihre Seele stirbt dahin in der Jugend, und ihr Leben unter den Schandbuben.

Fallecerá el alma de ellos en su mocedad, y su vida entre los sodomitas.

They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.

They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.

Den Elenden errettet er in seinem Elend, und in der Drangsal öffnet er ihnen das Ohr.

Al pobre librará de su pobreza, y en la aflicción despertará su oído.

He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.

He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.

So hätte er auch dich aus dem Rachen der Bedrängnis in einen weiten Raum geführt, wo keine Beengung gewesen, und die Besetzung deines Tisches würde voll Fett sein.

Asimismo te apartaría de la boca de la angustia á lugar espacioso, libre de todo apuro; y te asentará mesa llena de grosura.

Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.

Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.

Aber du bist mit dem Urteil des Gesetzlosen erfüllt: Urteil und Gericht werden dich ergreifen.

Mas tú has llenado el juicio del impío, en vez de sustentar el juicio y la justicia.

But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.

“But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.

Denn der Grimm, möge er dich ja nicht verlocken zur Verhöhnung, und die Größe des Lösegeldes verleite dich nicht!

Por lo cual teme que en su ira no te quite con golpe, el cual no puedas apartar de ti con gran rescate.

Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.

Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.

Soll dich dein Schreien außer Bedrängnis stellen und alle Anstrengungen der Kraft?

¿Hará él estima de tus riquezas, ni del oro, ni de todas las fuerzas del poder?

Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.

Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?

Sehne dich nicht nach der Nacht, welche Völker plötzlich hinwegheben wird.

No anheles la noche, en que desaparecen los pueblos de su lugar.

Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.

Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.

Hüte dich, wende dich nicht zum Frevel, denn das hast du dem Elend vorgezogen.

Guárdate, no tornes á la iniquidad; pues ésta escogiste más bien que la aflicción.

Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.

Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.

Siehe, Gott handelt erhaben in seiner Macht; wer ist ein Lehrer wie er?

He aquí que Dios es excelso con su potencia: ¿qué enseñador semejante á él?

Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?

Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?

Wer hat ihm seinen Weg vorgeschrieben, und wer dürfte sagen: Du hast Unrecht getan?

¿Quién le ha prescrito su camino? ¿y quién le dirá: Iniquidad has hecho?

Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?

Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?

Gedenke daran, daß du sein Tun erhebest, welches Menschen besingen.

Acuérdate de engrandecer su obra, la cual contemplan los hombres.

Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.

“Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.

Alle Menschen schauen es an, der Sterbliche erblickt es aus der Ferne.

Los hombres todos la ven; mírala el hombre de lejos.

Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.

All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.

Siehe, Gott ist zu erhaben für unsere Erkenntnis; die Zahl seiner Jahre, sie ist unerforschlich.

He aquí, Dios es grande, y nosotros no le conocemos; ni se puede rastrear el número de sus años.

Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.

Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.

Denn er zieht Wassertropfen herauf; von dem Dunst, den er bildet,

El reduce las gotas de las aguas, al derramarse la lluvia según el vapor;

For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:

For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,

träufeln sie als Regen, den die Wolken rieseln und tropfen lassen auf viele Menschen.

Las cuales destilan las nubes, goteando en abundancia sobre los hombres.

Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.

which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.

Versteht man gar das Ausbreiten des Gewölks, das Krachen seines Zeltes?

¿Quién podrá tampoco comprender la extensión de las nubes, y el sonido estrepitoso de su pabellón?

Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?

Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?

Siehe, er breitet sein Licht um sich aus, und die Gründe des Meeres bedeckt er.

He aquí que sobre él extiende su luz, y cobija con ella las raíces de la mar.

Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.

Denn durch dieses richtet er Völker, gibt Speise im Überfluß.

Bien que por esos medios castiga á los pueblos, á la multitud da comida.

For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.

For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.

Seine Hände umhüllt er mit dem Blitz, und er entbietet ihn gegen denjenigen, den er treffen soll.

Con las nubes encubre la luz, y mándale no brillar, interponiendo aquéllas.

With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.

He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.

Sein Rollen kündigt ihn an, sogar das Vieh sein Heranziehen.

Tocante á ella anunciará el trueno, su compañero, que hay acumulación de ira sobre el que se eleva.

The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.

Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
