“Tenha um pouco mais de paciência, e eu lhe mostrarei outras razões que provam que Deus está certo.
Espérame un poco, y enseñarte he; porque todavía tengo razones en orden á Dios.
Suffer me a little, and I will shew thee that I have yet to speak on God’s behalf.
“Bear with me a little, and I will show you; for I still have something to say on God’s behalf.
Mostrarei fatos que você ignora e demonstrarei que meu Criador é justo.
Tomaré mi noticia de lejos, y atribuiré justicia á mi Hacedor.
I will fetch my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
I will get my knowledge from afar, and will ascribe righteousness to my Maker.
O que vou lhe falar é a pura verdade, pois tenho perfeito conhecimento desse assunto.
Porque de cierto no son mentira mis palabras; contigo está el que es íntegro en sus conceptos.
For truly my words shall not be false: he that is perfect in knowledge is with thee.
For truly my words are not false. One who is perfect in knowledge is with you.
“Mesmo sendo Deus poderoso, ele não despreza ninguém! Ele compreende perfeitamente a natureza humana.
He aquí que Dios es grande, mas no desestima á nadie: es poderoso en fuerza de sabiduría.
Behold, God is mighty, and despiseth not any: he is mighty in strength and wisdom.
“Behold, God is mighty, and doesn’t despise anyone. He is mighty in strength of understanding.
Ele castiga duramente os perversos, mas trata com justiça os pobres.
No otorgará vida al impío, y á los afligidos dará su derecho.
He preserveth not the life of the wicked: but giveth right to the poor.
He doesn’t preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the afflicted.
Ele observa a vida dos justos e deixa que governem como reis, e os recompensa para sempre.
No quitará sus ojos del justo; antes bien con los reyes los pondrá en solio para siempre, y serán ensalzados.
He withdraweth not his eyes from the righteous: but with kings are they on the throne; yea, he doth establish them for ever, and they are exalted.

Se alguns são presos com correntes ou são amarrados com cordas da aflição,
Y si estuvieren prendidos en grillos, y aprisionados en las cuerdas de aflicción,
And if they be bound in fetters, and be holden in cords of affliction;
If they are bound in fetters, and are taken in the cords of afflictions,
Deus usa essa aflição para mostrar a eles onde foi que pecaram, sendo orgulhosos.
El les dará á conocer la obra de ellos, y que prevalecieron sus rebeliones.
Then he sheweth them their work, and their transgressions that they have exceeded.

Ele fará com que ouçam a correção e mandará que deixem de lado a desobediência.
Despierta además el oído de ellos para la corrección, y díceles que se conviertan de la iniquidad.
He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity.

Se eles obedecerem e voltarem a servir a Deus, terão uma vida feliz e tranquila nos anos que lhes restam.
Si oyeren, y le sirvieren, acabarán sus días en bien, y sus años en deleites.
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
If they listen and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Mas, se não derem importância aos conselhos de Deus, morrerão à espada, porque preferiram continuar cegos.
Mas si no oyeren, serán pasados á cuchillo, y perecerán sin sabiduría.
But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.
But if they don’t listen, they will perish by the sword; they will die without knowledge.
“Os perversos ajuntam contra si a ira de Deus; mesmo quando ele lhes manda o castigo eles se recusam a pedir ajuda.
Empero los hipócritas de corazón lo irritarán más, y no clamarán cuando él los atare.
But the hypocrites in heart heap up wrath: they cry not when he bindeth them.
“But those who are godless in heart lay up anger. They don’t cry for help when he binds them.
Eles morrem ainda jovens, destruindo sua vida com imoralidades.
Fallecerá el alma de ellos en su mocedad, y su vida entre los sodomitas.
They die in youth, and their life is among the unclean.
They die in youth. Their life perishes among the unclean.
É assim que Deus age — livrando o sofredor pelo próprio sofrimento; e usa a aflição para acordá-lo!
Al pobre librará de su pobreza, y en la aflicción despertará su oído.
He delivereth the poor in his affliction, and openeth their ears in oppression.
He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression.
“É isso que Deus quer fazer com você! Quer acabar com o seu sofrimento e dar a você uma vida de prazer e felicidade, e uma mesa farta, com as delícias que havia antes.
Asimismo te apartaría de la boca de la angustia á lugar espacioso, libre de todo apuro; y te asentará mesa llena de grosura.
Even so would he have removed thee out of the strait into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and that which should be set on thy table should be full of fatness.
Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a wide place, where there is no restriction. That which is set on your table would be full of fatness.
Mas você foi julgado com o julgamento que cabe aos maus e está recebendo o merecido castigo.
Mas tú has llenado el juicio del impío, en vez de sustentar el juicio y la justicia.
But thou hast fulfilled the judgment of the wicked: judgment and justice take hold on thee.
“But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.
Tome cuidado, Jó! Não aceite ser seduzido com riquezas; não deixe se desviar pelo suborno.
Por lo cual teme que en su ira no te quite con golpe, el cual no puedas apartar de ti con gran rescate.
Because there is wrath, beware lest he take thee away with his stroke: then a great ransom cannot deliver thee.
Don’t let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.
Você pensa que chorando muito e lamentando a sua sorte seria capaz de fazer Deus acabar com seus sofrimentos?
¿Hará él estima de tus riquezas, ni del oro, ni de todas las fuerzas del poder?
Will he esteem thy riches? no, not gold, nor all the forces of strength.
Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?
“Não fique desejando a noite, quando as nações são destruídas.
No anheles la noche, en que desaparecen los pueblos de su lugar.
Desire not the night, when people are cut off in their place.
Don’t desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.
Cuidado também com a ideia de que é melhor ser perverso porque os perversos não sofrem o que você está sofrendo.
Guárdate, no tornes á la iniquidad; pues ésta escogiste más bien que la aflicción.
Take heed, regard not iniquity: for this hast thou chosen rather than affliction.
Take heed, don’t regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.
“Lembre-se de que Deus é grande e muito poderoso; ninguém sabe ensinar como ele!
He aquí que Dios es excelso con su potencia: ¿qué enseñador semejante á él?
Behold, God exalteth by his power: who teacheth like him?
Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?
Ninguém pode dizer a ele o que fazer, ou condenar suas ações, dizendo: ‘O Senhor agiu mal!’
¿Quién le ha prescrito su camino? ¿y quién le dirá: Iniquidad has hecho?
Who hath enjoined him his way? or who can say, Thou hast wrought iniquity?
Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, ‘You have committed unrighteousness’?
Você deve, isto sim, dar glória a Deus pelas coisas que ele fez, admiradas por todos os homens.
Acuérdate de engrandecer su obra, la cual contemplan los hombres.
Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold.
“Remember that you magnify his work, about which men have sung.
Sim, todos os que percebem as obras de Deus ficam admirados, mesmo de lugares distantes!
Los hombres todos la ven; mírala el hombre de lejos.
Every man may see it; man may behold it afar off.
All men have looked on it. Man sees it afar off.
Deus é tão grande e maravilhoso! Não somos capazes de compreendê-lo; ele é eterno, e ninguém pode calcular os anos da sua existência.
He aquí, Dios es grande, y nosotros no le conocemos; ni se puede rastrear el número de sus años.
Behold, God is great, and we know him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
Behold, God is great, and we don’t know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.
“Deus faz a água subir da terra em forma de vapor que se transforma em chuva,
El reduce las gotas de las aguas, al derramarse la lluvia según el vapor;
For he maketh small the drops of water: they pour down rain according to the vapour thereof:
For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor,
que as nuvens despejam em grande quantidade sobre o homem e a terra.
Las cuales destilan las nubes, goteando en abundancia sobre los hombres.
Which the clouds do drop and distil upon man abundantly.
which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.
Quem é capaz de entender como as nuvens se formam e se espalham pelo céu? Quem pode explicar a formação dos raios e trovões?
¿Quién podrá tampoco comprender la extensión de las nubes, y el sonido estrepitoso de su pabellón?
Also can any understand the spreadings of the clouds, or the noise of his tabernacle?
Indeed, can anyone understand the spreading of the clouds and the thunderings of his pavilion?
Deus forma os relâmpagos junto com as nuvens; com o vapor que sobe do oceano ele forma as nuvens e se esconde atrás delas.
He aquí que sobre él extiende su luz, y cobija con ella las raíces de la mar.
Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.
Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.
Com esses elementos da natureza ele governa os povos da terra, e lhes fornece comida à vontade.
Bien que por esos medios castiga á los pueblos, á la multitud da comida.
For by them judgeth he the people; he giveth meat in abundance.
For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.
Usa os relâmpagos como lanças, para castigar seus inimigos.
Con las nubes encubre la luz, y mándale no brillar, interponiendo aquéllas.
With clouds he covereth the light; and commandeth it not to shine by the cloud that cometh betwixt.
He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.
O trovão anuncia a tempestade, até o gado sente a sua chegada”.
Tocante á ella anunciará el trueno, su compañero, que hay acumulación de ira sobre el que se eleva.
The noise thereof sheweth concerning it, the cattle also concerning the vapour.
Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also, concerning the storm that comes up.
