Job 37
Bible Darby
1À cause de cela aussi mon cœur tremble, et tressaille comme s’il sortait de sa place.
2Écoutez donc le bruit éclatant de sa voix et le grondement qui sort de sa bouche !
3Il le dirige sous tous les cieux, et son éclair, jusqu’aux extrémités de la terre :
4Après lui une voix rugit. Il tonne de sa voix majestueuse, et il ne retient pas ses éclairs quand il fait entendre sa voix.
5✶Dieu tonne merveilleusement de sa voix, faisant de grandes choses que nous ne comprenons pas.
6Car il dit à la neige : Tombe sur la terre ! et aussi aux averses de pluie, et aux averses des pluies de sa force.
7Il met un sceau sur la main de tout homme, afin que tous les hommes connaissent son œuvre.
8Les bêtes sauvages rentrent dans leurs gîtes, et demeurent dans leurs repaires.
9Des chambres [du midi] vient le tourbillon, et des vents du nord, le froid.
10Au souffle de ✶Dieu se forme la glace, et la largeur des eaux se resserre.
11Il charge d’eau le nuage ; sa lumière dissipe les nuées ;
12Et sous sa conduite elles tournoient en tout sens, pour accomplir leur œuvre, tout ce qu’il leur commande sur la face du cercle de la terre,
13Soit qu’il les fasse venir comme verge, ou pour sa terre, ou en bonté.
14Écoute ceci, Job ; tiens-toi là, et discerne les œuvres merveilleuses de ✶Dieu.
15Sais-tu comment ✝Dieu les a disposées et comment il fait briller l’éclair de sa nuée ?
16Comprends-tu le balancement des nuages, les œuvres merveilleuses de celui qui est parfait en connaissance, –
17Pourquoi tes vêtements sont chauds quand il donne du repos à la terre par le vent du midi ?
18As-tu étendu avec lui la voûte céleste, aussi ferme qu’un miroir de fonte ?
19Fais-nous savoir ce que nous lui dirons ! Nous ne savons préparer [des paroles], à cause de [nos] ténèbres.
20Lui racontera-t-on que je parle ? Si quelqu’un lui parle, il sera sûrement englouti.
21Et maintenant on ne voit pas la lumière brillante, elle est [cachée] dans les nues ; mais le vent passe et les [chasse, et] produit un ciel clair.
22L’or vient du nord ; – par-devers ✝Dieu est la majesté terrible.
23Le Tout-puissant, nous ne le trouvons pas ; grand en force, en jugement et en beaucoup de justice, il n’opprime pas.
24C’est pourquoi les hommes le craindront ; aucun des sages de cœur ne le contemplera.

1A ESTO también se espanta mi corazón, y salta de su lugar.
2Oid atentamente su voz terrible, y el sonido que sale de su boca.
3Debajo de todos los cielos lo dirige, y su luz hasta los fines de la tierra.
4Después de ella bramará el sonido, tronará él con la voz de su magnificencia; y aunque sea oída su voz, no los detiene.
5Tronará Dios maravillosamente con su voz; él hace grandes cosas, que nosotros no entendemos.
6Porque á la nieve dice: Desciende á la tierra; también á la llovizna, y á los aguaceros de su fortaleza.
7Así hace retirarse á todo hombre, para que los hombres todos reconozcan su obra.
8La bestia se entrará en su escondrijo, y estaráse en sus moradas.
9Del mediodía viene el torbellino, y el frío de los vientos del norte.
10Por el soplo de Dios se da el hielo, y las anchas aguas son constreñidas.
11Regando también llega á disipar la densa nube, y con su luz esparce la niebla.
12Asimismo por sus designios se revuelven las nubes en derredor, para hacer sobre la haz del mundo, en la tierra, lo que él les mandara.
13Unas veces por azote, otras por causa de su tierra, otras por misericordia las hará parecer.
14Escucha esto, Job; repósate, y considera las maravillas de Dios.
15¿Supiste tú cuándo Dios las ponía en concierto, y hacía levantar la luz de su nube?
16¿Has tú conocido las diferencias de las nubes, las maravillas del Perfecto en sabiduría?
17¿Por qué están calientes tus vestidos cuando se fija el viento del mediodía sobre la tierra?
18¿Extendiste tú con él los cielos, firmes como un espejo sólido?
19Muéstranos qué le hemos de decir; porque nosotros no podemos componer las ideas á causa de las tinieblas.
20¿Será preciso contarle cuando yo hablaré? Por más que el hombre razone, quedará como abismado.
21He aquí aún: no se puede mirar la luz esplendente en los cielos, luego que pasa el viento y los limpia,
22Viniendo de la parte del norte la dorada claridad. En Dios hay una majestad terrible.
23El es Todopoderoso, al cual no alcanzamos, grande en potencia; y en juicio y en multitud de justicia no afligirá.
24Temerlo han por tanto los hombres: él no mira á los sabios de corazón.

1At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place.
2Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth.
3He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
4After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard.
5God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend.
6For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength.
7He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work.
8Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places.
9Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north.
10By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
11Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
12And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
13He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
14Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
16Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
17How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind?
18Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass?
19Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness.
20Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up.
21And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them.
22Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
23Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
24Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
World English Bible
1“Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.
2Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.
3He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.
4After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn’t hold back anything when his voice is heard.
5God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can’t comprehend.
6For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.
7He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.
8Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.
9Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.
10By the breath of God, ice is given, and the width of the waters is frozen.
11Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
12It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world,
13whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.
14“Listen to this, Job. Stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
15Do you know how God controls them, and causes the lightning of his cloud to shine?
16Do you know the workings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him who is perfect in knowledge?
17You whose clothing is warm when the earth is still by reason of the south wind?
18Can you, with him, spread out the sky, which is strong as a cast metal mirror?
19Teach us what we will tell him, for we can’t make our case by reason of darkness.
20Will it be told him that I would speak? Or should a man wish that he were swallowed up?
21Now men don’t see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.
22Out of the north comes golden splendor. With God is awesome majesty.
23We can’t reach the Almighty. He is exalted in power. In justice and great righteousness, he will not oppress.
24Therefore men revere him. He doesn’t regard any who are wise of heart.”
