Continúa él Señor y dijo a Job.
ENTONCES respondió Jehová á Job desde la oscuridad, y dijo:
Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,
Moreover the LORD answered Job,
¿Es sabiduría discutir con él Todopoderoso? Él que reprende a Dios, dé una respuesta.
Cíñete ahora como varón tus lomos; yo te preguntaré, y explícame.
Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.
“Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”
Y respondió Job en respuesta al Señor:
¿Invalidarás tú también mi juicio? ¿me condenarás á mí, para justificarte á ti?
Then Job answered the LORD, and said,
Then Job answered the LORD,
En verdad, no tengo ningún valor; ¿Qué respuesta puedo darte? Pondré mi mano en mi boca.
¿Tienes tú brazo como Dios? ¿y tronarás tú con voz como él?
Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.
“Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.
He dicho una vez, e incluso dos veces, lo que tenía en mente, pero no lo volveré a hacer.
Atavíate ahora de majestad y de alteza: y vístete de honra y de hermosura.
Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.
I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”
Entonces el Señor respondió a Job desde él torbellino:
Esparce furores de tu ira: y mira á todo soberbio, y abátelo.
Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,
Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:
Reúne tus fuerzas como un hombre de guerra, te haré preguntas y tú me darás las respuestas.
Mira á todo soberbio, y humíllalo, y quebranta á los impíos en su asiento.
Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
“Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.
¿Me condenarás, harás que mi juicio no tenga ningún valor? ¿Dirás que estoy equivocado para dejar en claro que tienes razón?
Encúbrelos á todos en el polvo, venda sus rostros en la oscuridad;
Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?
¿Tienes un brazo como Dios? ¿Tienes una voz de trueno como la de él?
Y yo también te confesaré que podrá salvarte tu diestra.
Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?
Ponte los adornos de tu orgullo; vístete de gloria y poder.
He aquí ahora behemoth, al cual yo hice contigo; hierba come como buey.
Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.
“Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.
Deja que tu ira se desborde; que tus ojos vean a todos los hijos del orgullo, y humíllalos.
He aquí ahora que su fuerza está en sus lomos, y su fortaleza en el ombligo de su vientre.
Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.
Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.
Envía destrucción a todos los que son orgullosos, quebrantando a los impíos de sus lugares.
Su cola mueve como un cedro, y los nervios de sus genitales son entretejidos.
Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.
Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.
Sean cubiertos en el polvo; venda sus rostros en el lugar oculto.
Sus huesos son fuertes como bronce, y sus miembros como barras de hierro.
Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.
Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.
Entonces te alabaré, diciendo que tu diestra puede darte la salvación.
El es la cabeza de los caminos de Dios: el que lo hizo, puede hacer que su cuchillo á él se acerque.
Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.
Then I will also admit to you that your own right hand can save you.
Mira ahora al hipopótamo, a quien hice, como yo te hice a ti; Toma pasto para comer, como el buey.
Ciertamente los montes producen hierba para él: y toda bestia del campo retoza allá.
Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.
“See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.
Su fuerza está en su cuerpo, y su fuerza en los músculos de su estómago.
Echaráse debajo de las sombras, en lo oculto de las cañas, y de los lugares húmedos.
Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.
Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.
Su cola está curvada como un cedro; los tendones de sus piernas están entrelazados.
Los árboles sombríos lo cubren con su sombra; los sauces del arroyo lo cercan.
He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.
He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.
Sus huesos son tubos de bronce, sus piernas son como varillas de hierro.
He aquí que él tomará el río sin inmutarse: y confíase que el Jordán pasará por su boca.
His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.
His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.
Él es la primicia de los caminos de Dios, hecho por él, y solo él le acerque la espada.
¿Tomarálo alguno por sus ojos en armadijos, y horadará su nariz?
He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.
He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.
Come de la hierba que produce las montañas, donde juegan todas las bestias del campo.

Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.
Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.
Él descansa debajo de las cañas del río, y en él pantano.

He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.
He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.
Está cubierto por las ramas de los árboles; Los álamos del arroyo están a su alrededor.

The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.
The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.
En verdad, si el río se desborda, no le da ninguna causa para el miedo; no tiene sentido del peligro, incluso si él río Jordán está corriendo contra su boca.

Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.
Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.
Lo tomará alguien cuando esté vigilando, con trampas le perforará la nariz?

He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.
Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?
