Job 40

Und der HERR antwortete Hiob und sprach:

ENTONCES respondió Jehová á Job desde la oscuridad, y dijo:

Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,

Moreover the LORD answered Job,

Wer mit dem Allmachtigen hadern will, soil's ihm der nicht beibringen? Und wer Gott tadelt, soil's der nicht verantworten?

Cíñete ahora como varón tus lomos; yo te preguntaré, y explícame.

Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

“Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”

Hiob aber antwortete dem HERRN und sprach:

¿Invalidarás tú también mi juicio? ¿me condenarás á mí, para justificarte á ti?

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Then Job answered the LORD,

Siehe, ich bin zu leichtfertig gewesen, was soil ich antworten? Ich will meine Hand auf meinen Mund legen.

¿Tienes tú brazo como Dios? ¿y tronarás tú con voz como él?

Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

“Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.

Ich habe einmal geredet, darum will ich nicht mehr antworten; hernach will ich's nicht mehr tun.

Atavíate ahora de majestad y de alteza: y vístete de honra y de hermosura.

Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Und der HERR antwortete Hiob aus einem Wetter und sprach:

Esparce furores de tu ira: y mira á todo soberbio, y abátelo.

Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:

Gurte wie ein Mann deine Lenden; ich will dich fragen, lehre mich!

Mira á todo soberbio, y humíllalo, y quebranta á los impíos en su asiento.

Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

“Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.

Solltest du mein Urteil zunichte machen und mich verdammen, daß du gerecht seiest?

Encúbrelos á todos en el polvo, venda sus rostros en la oscuridad;

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

Hast du einen Arm wie Gott und kannst mit gleicher Stimme donnern, als er tut?

Y yo también te confesaré que podrá salvarte tu diestra.

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?

Schmücke dich mit Pracht und erhebe dich; zeuch dich loblich und herrlich an!

He aquí ahora behemoth, al cual yo hice contigo; hierba come como buey.

Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

“Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.

Streue aus den Zorn deines Grimms; schaue an die Hochmutigen, wo sie sind, und demutige sie.

He aquí ahora que su fuerza está en sus lomos, y su fortaleza en el ombligo de su vientre.

Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.

Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.

Ja, schaue die Hochmutigen, wo sie sind, und beuge sie und mache die Gottlosen dunne, wo sie sind.

Su cola mueve como un cedro, y los nervios de sus genitales son entretejidos.

Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.

Verscharre sie miteinander in der Erde und versenke ihre Pracht ins Verborgene,

Sus huesos son fuertes como bronce, y sus miembros como barras de hierro.

Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.

Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.

so will ich dirauch bekennen, daß dir deine rechte Hand helfen kann.

El es la cabeza de los caminos de Dios: el que lo hizo, puede hacer que su cuchillo á él se acerque.

Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.

Then I will also admit to you that your own right hand can save you.

Siehe, der Behemoth, den ich neben dir gemacht habe, frilit Heu wie ein Ochse.

Ciertamente los montes producen hierba para él: y toda bestia del campo retoza allá.

Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

“See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.

Siehe, seine Kraft ist in seinen Lenden und sein Vermdgen im Nabel seines Bauchs.

Echaráse debajo de las sombras, en lo oculto de las cañas, y de los lugares húmedos.

Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.

Sein Schwanz strecket sich wie eine Zeder, die Adern seiner Scham starren wie ein Ast.

Los árboles sombríos lo cubren con su sombra; los sauces del arroyo lo cercan.

He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.

Seine Knochen sind wie fest Erz, seine Gebeine sind wie eiserne Stabe.

He aquí que él tomará el río sin inmutarse: y confíase que el Jordán pasará por su boca.

His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.

Er ist der Anfang der Wege Gottes; der ihn gemacht hat, der greift ihn an mit seinem Schwert.

¿Tomarálo alguno por sus ojos en armadijos, y horadará su nariz?

He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.

Die Berge tragen ihm Krauter, und alle wilden Tiere spielen daselbst.

Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.

Er liegt gern im Schatten, im Rohr und im Schlamm verborgen.

—

He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.

Das Gebusch bedeckt ihn mit seinem Schatten, und die Bachweiden bedecken ihn.

—

The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.

Siehe, erschluckt in sich den Strom und achtet es nicht gro(J; laftt sich dunken, erwolle den Jordan mit seinem Munde ausschopfen.

Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.

Noch fahet man ihn mit seinen eigenen Augen, und durch Fallstricke durchbohret man ihm seine Nase.

He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

Kannst du den Leviathan ziehen mit dem Hamen und seine Zunge mit einem Strick fassen?

Kannst du ihm eine Angel in die Nase legen und mit einem Stachel ihm die Backen durchbohren?

—

Meinestdu, erwerde dirviel Flehens machen Oder dir heucheln?

—

—

—

Meinest du, dafi er einen Bund mit dir machen werde, daß du ihn immerzum Knecht habest?

—

—

—

Kannst du mit ihm spielen wie mit einem Vogel, Oder ihn deinen Dirnen binden?

—

—

—

Meinest du, die Gesellschaften werden ihn zerschneiden, daß er unter die Kaufleute zerteilet wird?

—

—

—

Kannst du das Netz fullen mit seiner Flaut und die Fischreusen mit seinem Kopf?

—

—

—

Wenn du deine FHand an ihn legst, so gedenke, daß ein Streit sei, den du nicht ausfuhren wirst.
