Job 40

Und der HERR antwortete Hiob und sprach:

ENTONCES respondió Jehová á Job desde la oscuridad, y dijo:

Moreover the LORD answered Job, and said,

Will der Tadler rechten mit dem Allmächtigen? Der Gott zurechtweist, antworte darauf!

Cíñete ahora como varón tus lomos; yo te preguntaré, y explícame.

Shall he that contendeth with the Almighty instruct him? he that reproveth God, let him answer it.

“Shall he who argues contend with the Almighty? He who argues with God, let him answer it.”

Und Hiob antwortete dem HERRN und sprach:

¿Invalidarás tú también mi juicio? ¿me condenarás á mí, para justificarte á ti?

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Then Job answered the LORD,

Siehe, zu gering bin ich, was soll ich dir erwidern? Ich lege meine Hand auf meinen Mund.

¿Tienes tú brazo como Dios? ¿y tronarás tú con voz como él?

Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

“Behold, I am of small account. What will I answer you? I lay my hand on my mouth.

Einmal habe ich geredet, und ich will nicht mehr antworten, und zweimal, und ich will es nicht mehr tun.

Atavíate ahora de majestad y de alteza: y vístete de honra y de hermosura.

Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Und der HERR antwortete Hiob aus dem Sturm und sprach:

Esparce furores de tu ira: y mira á todo soberbio, y abátelo.

Then answered the LORD unto Job out of the whirlwind, and said,

Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind:

Gürte doch wie ein Mann deine Lenden; ich will dich fragen, und du belehre mich!

Mira á todo soberbio, y humíllalo, y quebranta á los impíos en su asiento.

Gird up thy loins now like a man: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

“Now brace yourself like a man. I will question you, and you will answer me.

Willst du gar mein Recht zunichte machen, mich verdammen, damit du gerecht seist?

Encúbrelos á todos en el polvo, venda sus rostros en la oscuridad;

Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?

Will you even annul my judgment? Will you condemn me, that you may be justified?

Oder hast du einen Arm wie Gott, und kannst du donnern mit einer Stimme wie er?

Y yo también te confesaré que podrá salvarte tu diestra.

Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?

Or do you have an arm like God? Can you thunder with a voice like him?

Schmücke dich doch mit Erhabenheit und Hoheit, und kleide dich in Pracht und Majestät!

He aquí ahora behemoth, al cual yo hice contigo; hierba come como buey.

Deck thyself now with majesty and excellency; and array thyself with glory and beauty.

“Now deck yourself with excellency and dignity. Array yourself with honor and majesty.

Gieße aus die Ausbrüche deines Zorns, und sieh an alles Stolze und erniedrige es!

He aquí ahora que su fuerza está en sus lomos, y su fortaleza en el ombligo de su vientre.

Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is proud, and abase him.

Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.

Sieh an alles Stolze, beuge es, und reiße nieder die Gottlosen auf ihrer Stelle!

Su cola mueve como un cedro, y los nervios de sus genitales son entretejidos.

Look on every one that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place.

Look at everyone who is proud, and humble him. Crush the wicked in their place.

Verbirg sie allesamt in den Staub, schließe ihre Angesichter in Verborgenheit ein!

Sus huesos son fuertes como bronce, y sus miembros como barras de hierro.

Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.

Hide them in the dust together. Bind their faces in the hidden place.

Dann werde auch ich dich preisen, dass deine Rechte dir Hilfe schafft.

El es la cabeza de los caminos de Dios: el que lo hizo, puede hacer que su cuchillo á él se acerque.

Then will I also confess unto thee that thine own right hand can save thee.

Then I will also admit to you that your own right hand can save you.

Sieh doch den Behemoth, den ich mit dir gemacht habe; er frisst Gras wie das Rind.

Ciertamente los montes producen hierba para él: y toda bestia del campo retoza allá.

Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox.

“See now behemoth, which I made as well as you. He eats grass as an ox.

Sieh doch, seine Kraft ist in seinen Lenden, und seine Stärke in den Muskeln seines Bauches.

Echaráse debajo de las sombras, en lo oculto de las cañas, y de los lugares húmedos.

Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly.

Look now, his strength is in his thighs. His force is in the muscles of his belly.

Er biegt seinen Schwanz wie eine Zeder, die Sehnen seiner Schenkel sind verflochten.

Los árboles sombríos lo cubren con su sombra; los sauces del arroyo lo cercan.

He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together.

He moves his tail like a cedar. The sinews of his thighs are knit together.

Seine Knochen sind Röhren aus Kupfer, seine Gebeine gleich Barren von Eisen.

He aquí que él tomará el río sin inmutarse: y confíase que el Jordán pasará por su boca.

His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

His bones are like tubes of bronze. His limbs are like bars of iron.

Er ist der Erstling der Wege Gottes; der ihn gemacht, hat ihm sein Schwert beschafft.

¿Tomarálo alguno por sus ojos en armadijos, y horadará su nariz?

He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him.

He is the chief of the ways of God. He who made him gives him his sword.

Denn die Berge tragen ihm Futter, und dort spielen alle Tiere des Feldes.

Surely the mountains bring him forth food, where all the beasts of the field play.

Surely the mountains produce food for him, where all the animals of the field play.

Unter Lotosbüschen legt er sich nieder, im Versteck von Rohr und Sumpf;

—

He lieth under the shady trees, in the covert of the reed, and fens.

He lies under the lotus trees, in the covert of the reed, and the marsh.

Lotosbüsche bedecken ihn mit ihrem Schatten, es umgeben ihn die Weiden des Baches.

The shady trees cover him with their shadow; the willows of the brook compass him about.

The lotuses cover him with their shade. The willows of the brook surround him.

Siehe, der Strom schwillt mächtig an – er flieht nicht ängstlich davon; er bleibt wohlgemut, wenn ein Jordan gegen sein Maul hervorbricht.

Behold, he drinketh up a river, and hasteth not: he trusteth that he can draw up Jordan into his mouth.

Behold, if a river overflows, he doesn’t tremble. He is confident, though the Jordan swells even to his mouth.

Fängt man ihn wohl vor seinen Augen, durchbohrt man ihm die Nase mit einem Fangseil?

He taketh it with his eyes: his nose pierceth through snares.

Shall any take him when he is on the watch, or pierce through his nose with a snare?

Ziehst du den Leviatan herbei mit der Angel, und senkst du seine Zunge in die Angelschnur?

Kannst du einen Binsenstrick durch seine Nase ziehen und seinen Kinnbacken mit einem Ring durchbohren?

—

Wird er viel Flehens an dich richten oder dir sanfte Worte geben?

—

Wird er einen Bund mit dir machen, dass du ihn zum ewigen Knecht nimmst?

—

—

—

Wirst du mit ihm spielen wie mit einem Vogel und ihn anbinden für deine Mädchen?

—

—

—

Werden die Fischer-Gefährten ihn verhandeln, ihn verteilen unter Kaufleute?

—

—

—

Kannst du seine Haut mit Spießen füllen und seinen Kopf mit Fischharpunen?

—

—

—

Lege deine Hand an ihn – gedenke des Kampfes, tu es nicht wieder!
