¿SACARÁS tú al leviathán con el anzuelo, ó con la cuerda que le echares en su lengua?

¿Te rogará que lo dejes ir? ¿O te hablará suavemente?
¿Multiplicará él ruegos para contigo? ¿hablaráte él lisonjas?

¿Hará un contrato contigo? ¿Acepta ser tu esclavo para siempre?

“Permítanme hablarles del Leviatán: sus poderosas patas y sus gráciles proporciones.
Yo no callaré sus miembros, ni lo de sus fuerzas y la gracia de su disposición.

“I will not keep silence concerning his limbs, nor his mighty strength, nor his goodly frame.
¿Quién puede quitarle la piel? ¿Quién puede penetrar su doble armadura??
¿Quién descubrirá la delantera de su vestidura? ¿quién se llegará á él con freno doble?
Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle?
Who can strip off his outer garment? Who will come within his jaws?
¿Quién puede abrir sus mandíbulas? Sus dientes son aterradores.
¿Quién abrirá las puertas de su rostro? Los órdenes de sus dientes espantan.
Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible round about.

Su orgullo son sus hileras de escamas, cerradas con fuerza.
