Job 42

Or Job, reprenant dit au Seigneur :

Y RESPONDIÓ Job á Jehová, y dijo:

Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Je sais que vous pouvez tout et que rien ne vous est impossible.

Yo conozco que todo lo puedes, y que no hay pensamiento que se esconda de ti.

I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

“I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.

Qui peut vous cacher ses desseins ? Croira-t-on que vous les ignorez, parce que l'on aura épargné les paroles ? Qui me révélera ce que je ne savais pas, les grandes merveilles dont je n'avais pas connaissance ?

¿Quién es el que oscurece el consejo sin ciencia? por tanto yo denunciaba lo que no entendía; cosas que me eran ocultas, y que no las sabía.

Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

You asked, ‘Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?’ therefore I have uttered that which I didn’t understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn’t know.

Ecoutez-moi, Seigneur, afin que je parle à mon tour ; je vais vous interroger, instruisez-moi.

Oye, te ruego, y hablaré: te preguntaré, y tú me enseñarás.

Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

You said, ‘Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’

J'ai entendu premièrement comme entend votre oreille, et maintenant mon œil vous voit.

De oídas te había oído; mas ahora mis ojos te ven.

I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

C'est pourquoi je me prends en mépris, je me consume, et je sens que je ne suis que cendre et poussière.

Por tanto me aborrezco, y me arrepiento en el polvo y en la ceniza.

Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

Or ceci advint ; après que le Seigneur eut tenu à Job tout ce discours, le seigneur dit à Eliphaz le Thémanite : Tu as péché, toi et tes deux amis, car vous n'avez rien dit devant moi qui fût véritable, comme l'a fait Job mon serviteur.

Y aconteció que después que habló Jehová estas palabras á Job, Jehová dijo á Eliphaz Temanita: Mi ira se encendió contra ti y tus dos compañeros: porque no habéis hablado por mí lo recto, como mi siervo Job.

And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

Allez donc chercher sept béliers et sept bœufs, et revenez auprès de Job mon serviteur ; et il le sacrifiera pour vous, et Job mon serviteur priera pour vous ; car je n'écouterai que lui. Si ce n'était en considération de Job, je vous détruirais, parce que vous n'avez rien dit qui fût véritable, comme Job mon serviteur.

Ahora pues, tomaos siete becerros y siete carneros, y andad á mi siervo Job, y ofreced holocausto por vosotros, y mi siervo Job orará por vosotros; porque de cierto á él atenderé para no trataros afrentosamente, por cuanto no habéis hablado por mí con rectitud, como mi siervo Job.

Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job.

Et Eliphaz le Thémanite, et Baldad le Sauchite, et Sophar le Minéen partirent, et ils firent ce que leur avait prescrit le Seigneur, et il leur remit leurs péchés à cause de Job.

Fueron pues Eliphaz Temanita, y Bildad Suhita, y Sophar Naamatita, é hicieron como Jehová les dijo: y Jehová atendió á Job.

So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the LORD commanded them: the LORD also accepted Job.

Et le Seigneur fortifia Job, et à sa prière, il remit à ses amis leur péché. Et le Seigneur donna à Job le double de ce qu'il possédait auparavant ; il doubla toute chose.

Y mudó Jehová la aflicción de Job, orando él por sus amigos: y aumentó al doble todas las cosas que habían sido de Job.

And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Et tous ses frères et sœurs apprirent ce qui lui était arrivé, et ils vinrent auprès de lui, et tous ceux qui le connaissaient précédemment. En mangeant et en buvant chez lui, ils le consolèrent et ils manifestèrent leur admiration au sujet de ce que le Seigneur lui avait envoyé, et chacun d'eux lui donna une brebis et un double sicle d'or non monnayé.

Y vinieron á él todos sus hermanos, y todas sus hermanas, y todos los que antes le habían conocido, y comieron con él pan en su casa, y condoliéronse de él, y consoláronle de todo aquel mal que sobre él había Jehová traído; y cada uno de ellos le dió una pieza de moneda, y un zarcillo de oro.

Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.

Et le Seigneur bénit Job en la fin de sa carrière plus que dans les commencements, et ses troupeaux furent : quatre mille brebis, six mille chamelles, mille paires de bœufs et mille ânesses au pâturage.

Y bendijo Jehová la postrimería de Job más que su principio; porque tuvo catorce mil ovejas, y seis mil camellos, y mil yuntas de bueyes, y mil asnas.

et Job mourut très avancé en âge et plein de jours. Et il est écrit qu'il ressuscitera avec ceux que le Seigneur ressuscite.

Il avait d'abord porté le nom de Jobab ; ayant épousé une femme arabe, il eut un fils appelé Hennon ; et il descendait par son père Zuri, des fils d'Esaü, et par sa mère, de Bosorras ; de sorte qu'il était lui-même de la cinquième génération après Abraham. Voici les rois qui ont régné sur Edom, en la contrée où lui-même régna. Le premier fut Balac, fils de Béor, et le nom de sa ville était Dennaba. Après Balac, Jobab, celui qui fut surnommé Job ; après ce dernier, Asom, gouverneur de le Thémanitide. Après lui Adad, fils de Barad, qui vainquit Madian dans la plaine de Moab, et le nom de sa ville était Gathaïm.
