Se tentarmos falar contigo, ficarás incomodado? Mas quem poderia deter as palavras?
Si probáremos á hablarte, serte ha molesto; mas ¿quién podrá detener las palabras?
If we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking?
“If someone ventures to talk with you, will you be grieved? But who can withhold himself from speaking?
Eis que tu ensinavas a muitos, e fortalecias as mãos fracas;
He aquí, tú enseñabas á muchos, y las manos flacas corroborabas;
Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
Behold, you have instructed many, you have strengthened the weak hands.
Tuas palavras levantavam aos que tropeçavam, e fortificavas os joelhos que desfaleciam.
Al que vacilaba, enderezaban tus palabras, y esforzabas las rodillas que decaían.
Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.
Your words have supported him who was falling, you have made the feeble knees firm.
Mas agora isso que aconteceu contigo, tu te cansas; e quando isso te tocou, te perturbas.
Mas ahora que el mal sobre ti ha venido, te es duro; y cuando ha llegado hasta ti, te turbas.
But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.
But now it has come to you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.
Por acaso não era o teu temor a Deus a tua confiança, e a integridade dos teus caminhos tua esperança?
¿Es este tu temor, tu confianza, tu esperanza, y la perfección de tus caminos?
Is not this thy fear, thy confidence, thy hope, and the uprightness of thy ways?
Isn’t your piety your confidence? Isn’t the integrity of your ways your hope?
Lembra-te agora, qual foi o inocente que pereceu? E onde os corretos foram destruídos?
Recapacita ahora, ¿quién que fuera inocente se perdiera? y ¿en dónde los rectos fueron cortados?
Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?

Como eu tenho visto, os que lavram injustiça e semeiam opressão colhem o mesmo.
Como yo he visto, los que aran iniquidad y siembran injuria, la siegan.
Even as I have seen, they that plow iniquity, and sow wickedness, reap the same.
According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble, reap the same.
Com o sopro de Deus eles perecem, e pelo vento de sua ira são consumidos.
Perecen por el aliento de Dios, y por el espíritu de su furor son consumidos.
By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.

O rugido do leão, a voz do leão feroz, e os dentes dos leões jovens são quebrantados.

Uma palavra me foi dita em segredo, e meu ouvidos escutaram um sussurro dela.

Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine ear received a little thereof.

It stood still, but I could not discern the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,
It stood still, but I couldn’t discern its appearance. A form was before my eyes. Silence, then I heard a voice, saying,
Seria o ser humano mais justo que Deus? Seria o homem mais puro que seu Criador?
¿Si será el hombre más justo que Dios? ¿si será el varón más limpio que el que lo hizo?
Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker?
‘Shall mortal man be more just than God? Shall a man be more pure than his Maker?
Visto que ele não confia em seus servos, e considera seus anjos como loucos,
He aquí que en sus siervos no confía, y notó necedad en sus ángeles;
Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly:

Quanto mais naqueles que habitam em casas de lodo, cujo fundamento está no pó, e são esmagáveis como a traça!
¡Cuánto más en los que habitan en casas de lodo, cuyo fundamento está en el polvo, y que serán quebrantados de la polilla!
How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?

Desde a manhã até a tarde são despedaçados, e perecem sempre, sem que ninguém perceba.
De la mañana á la tarde son quebrantados, y se pierden para siempre, sin haber quien lo considere.
They are destroyed from morning to evening: they perish for ever without any regarding it.
Between morning and evening they are destroyed. They perish forever without any regarding it.
Por acaso sua excelência não se perde com eles mesmos? Eles morrem sem sabedoria.
¿Su hermosura, no se pierde con ellos mismos? Mueren, y sin sabiduría.
Doth not their excellency which is in them go away? they die, even without wisdom.
Isn’t their tent cord plucked up within them? They die, and that without wisdom.’
