Hast du doch selbst vielen (Leidenden) Mut zugesprochen und erschlaffte Hände gestärkt;
He aquí, tú enseñabas á muchos, y las manos flacas corroborabas;
Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
Behold, you have instructed many, you have strengthened the weak hands.
manchen Wankenden haben deine Worte aufrecht gehalten, und niedersinkenden Knien hast du neue Kraft verliehen.
Al que vacilaba, enderezaban tus palabras, y esforzabas las rodillas que decaían.
Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.

Nun aber, da die Reihe an dich gekommen, bist du verzagt; nun es dich selbst trifft, verlierst du den Halt!«
Mas ahora que el mal sobre ti ha venido, te es duro; y cuando ha llegado hasta ti, te turbas.
But now it is come upon thee, and thou faintest; it toucheth thee, and thou art troubled.

Remember, I pray thee, who ever perished, being innocent? or where were the righteous cut off?
