Wie ein Knecht sich sehnet nach dem Schatten und ein Taglohner, daß seine Arbeit aus sei,

Como el siervo anhela la sombra, y como el jornalero espera el reposo de su trabajo:

As a servant earnestly desireth the shadow, and as an hireling looketh for the reward of his work:

As a servant who earnestly desires the shadow, as a hireling who looks for his wages,
