Wie lange willst du solches reden, und sollen die Worte deines Mundes ungestümer Wind sein?
¿Hasta cuándo hablarás tales cosas, y las palabras de tu boca serán como un viento fuerte?
How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
Wird Gott das Recht beugen, oder wird der Allmächtige beugen die Gerechtigkeit?
¿Acaso pervertirá Dios el derecho, ó el Todopoderoso pervertirá la justicia?
Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?
Wenn deine Kinder gegen ihn gesündigt haben, so gab er sie ihrer Übertretung preis.
Si tus hijos pecaron contra él, él los echó en el lugar de su pecado.
If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.
Wenn du Gott eifrig suchst und zu dem Allmächtigen um Gnade flehst,
Si tú de mañana buscares á Dios, y rogares al Todopoderoso;
If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.
wenn du lauter und rechtschaffen bist, ja, dann wird er zu deinen Gunsten aufwachen und Wohlfahrt geben der Wohnung deiner Gerechtigkeit;
Si fueres limpio y derecho, cierto luego se despertará sobre ti, y hará próspera la morada de tu justicia.
If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
und dein Anfang wird gering erscheinen, aber dein Ende sehr groß werden.
Y tu principio habrá sido pequeño, y tu postrimería acrecerá en gran manera.
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.
Denn befrage doch das vorige Geschlecht, und richte deinen Sinn auf das, was ihre Väter erforscht haben.
Porque pregunta ahora á la edad pasada, y disponte para inquirir de sus padres de ellos;
For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers.

Pues nosotros somos de ayer, y no sabemos, siendo nuestros días sobre la tierra como sombra.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

Werden jene dich nicht belehren, dir's sagen, und Worte aus ihrem Herzen hervorbringen?
¿No te enseñarán ellos, te dirán, y de su corazón sacarán palabras?
Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart?
Schießt Papierschilf auf, wo kein Sumpf ist? Wächst Riedgras empor ohne Wasser?
¿Crece el junco sin lodo? ¿crece el prado sin agua?
Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water?
Noch ist es am Grünen, wird nicht ausgerauft, so verdorrt es vor allem Grase.
Aun él en su verdor no será cortado, y antes de toda hierba se secará.
Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed.
Also sind die Pfade aller, die Gottes vergessen; und des Ruchlosen Hoffnung geht zu Grunde.
Tales son los caminos de todos los que olvidan á Dios: y la esperanza del impío perecerá:
So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man will perish,
Sein Vertrauen wird abgeschnitten, und seine Zuversicht ist ein Spinnengewebe.
Porque su esperanza será cortada, y su confianza es casa de araña.
Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.
whose confidence will break apart, whose trust is a spider’s web.
Er stützt sich auf sein Haus, und es hält nicht stand; er hält sich daran fest, und es bleibt nicht aufrecht. -
Apoyaráse él sobre su casa, mas no permanecerá en pie; atendráse á ella, mas no se afirmará.
He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
He will lean on his house, but it will not stand. He will cling to it, but it will not endure.
Saftvoll ist er vor der Sonne, und seine Schößlinge dehnen sich aus über seinen Garten hin;
A manera de un árbol, está verde delante del sol, y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;
He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
He is green before the sun. His shoots go out along his garden.
über Steinhaufen schlingen sich seine Wurzeln, er schaut die Wohnung der Steine;
Vanse entretejiendo sus raíces junto á una fuente, y enlazándose hasta un lugar pedregoso.
His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones.
wenn er ihn wegreißt von seiner Stätte, so verleugnet sie ihn: "Ich habe dich nie gesehen!"
Si le arrancaren de su lugar, éste negarále entonces, diciendo: Nunca te vi.
If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’
Siehe, das ist die Freude seines Weges; und aus dem Staube sprossen andere hervor.
Ciertamente éste será el gozo de su camino; y de la tierra de donde se traspusiere, nacerán otros.
Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
Behold, this is the joy of his way. Out of the earth, others will spring.
Siehe, Gott wird den Vollkommenen nicht verwerfen, und nicht bei der Hand fassen die Übeltäter.
He aquí, Dios no aborrece al perfecto, ni toma la mano de los malignos.
Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.
Während er deinen Mund mit Lachen füllen wird und deine Lippen mit Jubelschall,
Aun henchirá tu boca de risa, y tus labios de júbilo.
Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.
werden deine Hasser bekleidet werden mit Scham, und das Zelt der Gesetzlosen wird nicht mehr sein.
Los que te aborrecen, serán vestidos de confusión; y la habitación de los impíos perecerá.
They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked will be no more.”
