Job 8

Da nahm Bildad von Suah das Wort und sagte:

Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

»Wie lange noch willst du solche Reden führen, und wie lange noch sollen die Worte deines Mundes als Sturmwind daherfahren?

¿Hasta cuándo hablarás tales cosas, y las palabras de tu boca serán como un viento fuerte?

How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?

“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?

Beugt Gott etwa das Recht, oder verdreht der Allmächtige die Gerechtigkeit?

¿Acaso pervertirá Dios el derecho, ó el Todopoderoso pervertirá la justicia?

Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?

Nur wenn deine Kinder gegen ihn gesündigt hatten, hat er sie die Folge ihrer Übertretung tragen lassen.

Si tus hijos pecaron contra él, él los echó en el lugar de su pecado.

If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;

If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.

Wenn du aber Gott ernstlich suchst und zum Allmächtigen flehst,

Si tú de mañana buscares á Dios, y rogares al Todopoderoso;

If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;

If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

wenn du dabei unsträflich und rechtschaffen bist: ja, dann wird er zu deinem Heil erwachen und deine Wohnung als eine Stätte der Gerechtigkeit wiederherstellen.

Si fueres limpio y derecho, cierto luego se despertará sobre ti, y hará próspera la morada de tu justicia.

If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.

Da wird dann dein vormaliger Glücksstand klein erscheinen gegenüber der Größe deiner nachmaligen Lage.«

Y tu principio habrá sido pequeño, y tu postrimería acrecerá en gran manera.

Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.

»Denn befrage nur das frühere Geschlecht und achte auf das, was ihre Väter erforscht haben!

Porque pregunta ahora á la edad pasada, y disponte para inquirir de sus padres de ellos;

For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:

“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers.

Denn wir sind nur von gestern her und wissen nichts, weil unsere Tage nur ein Schatten auf Erden sind;

Pues nosotros somos de ayer, y no sabemos, siendo nuestros días sobre la tierra como sombra.

(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)

sie aber werden dich sicherlich belehren, werden dir’s sagen und aus der Tiefe ihrer Einsicht die Worte hervorgehen lassen:

¿No te enseñarán ellos, te dirán, y de su corazón sacarán palabras?

Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?

Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart?

›Schießt Schilfrohr auf, wo kein Sumpf ist? Wächst Riedgras ohne Wasser auf?

¿Crece el junco sin lodo? ¿crece el prado sin agua?

Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?

“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water?

Noch steht es in frischem Triebe, ist noch nicht reif zum Schnitt, da verdorrt es schon vor allem andern Gras.

Aun él en su verdor no será cortado, y antes de toda hierba se secará.

Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.

While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed.

So ergeht es auch allen, die Gott vergessen, und so wird die Hoffnung des Ruchlosen zunichte;

Tales son los caminos de todos los que olvidan á Dios: y la esperanza del impío perecerá:

So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:

So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man will perish,

denn seine Zuversicht setzt er auf Sommerfäden, und das, worauf er vertraut, ist ein Spinngewebe.

Porque su esperanza será cortada, y su confianza es casa de araña.

Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.

whose confidence will break apart, whose trust is a spider’s web.

Er lehnt sich an sein Haus, doch es hält nicht stand; er klammert sich fest daran, doch es bleibt nicht stehen.

Apoyaráse él sobre su casa, mas no permanecerá en pie; atendráse á ella, mas no se afirmará.

He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.

He will lean on his house, but it will not stand. He will cling to it, but it will not endure.

Er strotzt von Saft auch in der Sonnenglut, und seine Schößlinge breiten sich über seinen Garten aus;

A manera de un árbol, está verde delante del sol, y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;

He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.

He is green before the sun. His shoots go out along his garden.

(sogar) um Steingeröll schlingen sich seine Wurzeln, und in Steingemäuer bohren sie sich hinein;

Vanse entretejiendo sus raíces junto á una fuente, y enlazándose hasta un lugar pedregoso.

His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.

His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones.

wenn aber er ihn von seiner Stätte wegreißt, so verleugnet diese ihn: Ich habe dich nie gesehen!

Si le arrancaren de su lugar, éste negarále entonces, diciendo: Nunca te vi.

If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.

If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’

Siehe, das ist die Freude, die er von seinem Lebenswege hat, und aus dem Boden sprossen wieder andere auf.‹«

Ciertamente éste será el gozo de su camino; y de la tierra de donde se traspusiere, nacerán otros.

Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

Behold, this is the joy of his way. Out of the earth, others will spring.

»Nein, Gott verwirft den Frommen nicht und reicht keinem Frevler die Hand.

He aquí, Dios no aborrece al perfecto, ni toma la mano de los malignos.

Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:

“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.

Während er dir den Mund wieder mit Lachen füllen wird und deine Lippen mit lautem Jubel,

Aun henchirá tu boca de risa, y tus labios de júbilo.

Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.

He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.

werden deine Widersacher mit Schande bedeckt dastehen, und das Zelt der Frevler wird verschwunden sein.«

Los que te aborrecen, serán vestidos de confusión; y la habitación de los impíos perecerá.

They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.

Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked will be no more.”
