Y RESPONDIÓ Bildad Suhita, y dijo:
Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,
Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
“Até quando você vai continuar falando desse jeito, soprando palavras furiosas como um vento forte?
¿Hasta cuándo hablarás tales cosas, y las palabras de tu boca serán como un viento fuerte?
How long wilt thou speak these things? and how long shall the words of thy mouth be like a strong wind?
“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
Você acha que Deus torce a justiça? Será que o Todo-poderoso seria capaz de cometer uma injustiça e torcer o que é certo?
¿Acaso pervertirá Dios el derecho, ó el Todopoderoso pervertirá la justicia?
Doth God pervert judgment? or doth the Almighty pervert justice?
Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?
Quando os seus filhos pecaram contra ele, sofreram as conseqüências de seu pecado.
Si tus hijos pecaron contra él, él los echó en el lugar de su pecado.
If thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression;
If your children have sinned against him, he has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.
Mas agora, se você procurar Deus e implorar ao Todo-poderoso,
Si tú de mañana buscares á Dios, y rogares al Todopoderoso;
If thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty;
If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.
se você for sincero e puro, ele não demorará em ajudá-lo e o restabelecerá num lugar justo e feliz.
Si fueres limpio y derecho, cierto luego se despertará sobre ti, y hará próspera la morada de tu justicia.
If thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.
If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
E você verá que o que tinha antes era pouco, comparado com o que Deus lhe dará.
Y tu principio habrá sido pequeño, y tu postrimería acrecerá en gran manera.
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.
Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.
“Lembre-se do que aconteceu no passado, a gerações anteriores, a seus antigos parentes!
Porque pregunta ahora á la edad pasada, y disponte para inquirir de sus padres de ellos;
For enquire, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thyself to the search of their fathers:
“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers.
Pois nascemos ontem e não sabemos nada; os nossos dias na terra passam como uma sombra.
Pues nosotros somos de ayer, y no sabemos, siendo nuestros días sobre la tierra como sombra.
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)
(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.)
Por isso, aprenda com os homens do passado; eles lhe ensinarão com sabedoria estas grandes verdades. Da sua experiência eles dirão:
¿No te enseñarán ellos, te dirán, y de su corazón sacarán palabras?
Shall not they teach thee, and tell thee, and utter words out of their heart?
Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart?
Será que as varas podem crescer fora do brejo ou o junco viver sem água?
¿Crece el junco sin lodo? ¿crece el prado sin agua?
Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water?
“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water?
Ainda verdes, antes de serem colhidos, secam-se, antes mesmo que as ervas.
Aun él en su verdor no será cortado, y antes de toda hierba se secará.
Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb.
While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed.
Assim acontece com todo aquele que se esquece de Deus; assim a esperança do ímpio desaparece.
Tales son los caminos de todos los que olvidan á Dios: y la esperanza del impío perecerá:
So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite’s hope shall perish:
So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man will perish,
O homem sem Deus não tem segurança; sua vida se sustenta numa teia de aranha, muito frágil.
Porque su esperanza será cortada, y su confianza es casa de araña.
Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider’s web.
whose confidence will break apart, whose trust is a spider’s web.
Ele procura se apoiar em sua teia, mas ela cede; agarra-se a ela, mas ela não suporta.
Apoyaráse él sobre su casa, mas no permanecerá en pie; atendráse á ella, mas no se afirmará.
He shall lean upon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall hold it fast, but it shall not endure.
He will lean on his house, but it will not stand. He will cling to it, but it will not endure.
No começo de sua vida ele é como uma planta nova bem regada ao brilho do sol, espalhando-se pelo jardim;
A manera de un árbol, está verde delante del sol, y sus renuevos salen sobre su huerto;
He is green before the sun, and his branch shooteth forth in his garden.
He is green before the sun. His shoots go out along his garden.
suas raízes se espalham por toda parte, entre os montões de pedras, e se agarram às rochas.
Vanse entretejiendo sus raíces junto á una fuente, y enlazándose hasta un lugar pedregoso.
His roots are wrapped about the heap, and seeth the place of stones.
His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones.
Mas quando é arrancada, ninguém sente a sua falta.
Si le arrancaren de su lugar, éste negarále entonces, diciendo: Nunca te vi.
If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee.
If he is destroyed from his place, then it will deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’
Esse é o resultado da sua vida, e surgem outras plantas para tomar o seu lugar.
Ciertamente éste será el gozo de su camino; y de la tierra de donde se traspusiere, nacerán otros.
Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.
Behold, this is the joy of his way. Out of the earth, others will spring.
“Uma coisa é certa: Deus não abandonará o homem justo e sincero da mesma maneira que nunca ajudará o pecador rebelde.
He aquí, Dios no aborrece al perfecto, ni toma la mano de los malignos.
Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:
“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.
Ele ainda encherá a sua vida de risos e colocará exclamações alegres nos seus lábios.
Aun henchirá tu boca de risa, y tus labios de júbilo.
Till he fill thy mouth with laughing, and thy lips with rejoicing.
He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.
Seus inimigos serão envergonhados, e os perversos serão destruídos!”
Los que te aborrecen, serán vestidos de confusión; y la habitación de los impíos perecerá.
They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.
Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked will be no more.”
