(Dies ist) das Wort des HERRN, das an Joel, den Sohn Pethuels, ergangen ist:

PALABRA de Jehová que fué á Joel hijo de Pethuel.

Hört dies, ihr Alten, und merkt auf, ihr Bewohner des Landes allesamt! Ist jemals etwas derartiges bei euren Lebzeiten oder in den Tagen eurer Väter vorgekommen?

Oid esto, viejos, y escuchad, todos los moradores de la tierra. ¿Ha acontecido esto en vuestros días, ó en los días de vuestros padres?

Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers?

Davon sollt ihr euren Kindern erzählen und eure Kinder ihren Kindern und deren Kinder dem folgenden Geschlecht!

De esto contaréis á vuestros hijos, y vuestros hijos á sus hijos, y sus hijos á la otra generación.

Was der Nager übriggelassen hatte, das fraß die Heuschrecke auf; und was die Heuschrecke übriggelassen, das verzehrte der Fresser; und was der Fresser übriggelassen, das verzehrte der Abschäler.

That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

Wacht auf, ihr Trunkenen, und weint! Wehklagt, ihr Weinzecher alle, um den Most, weil er euch vom Munde weg entrissen ist!

Despertad, borrachos, y llorad; aullad todos los que bebéis vino, á causa del mosto, porque os es quitado de vuestra boca.

Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.

Denn ein Volk ist über mein Land heraufgezogen, ein gewaltiges und zahlloses; seine Zähne sind Löwenzähne, und ein Gebiß hat es wie eine Löwin.

Es hat meine Weinstöcke verwüstet und meine Feigenbäume zerknickt, hat die Rinde rundum abgeschält und auf den Boden niedergeworfen, so daß ihre Schosse nackt starren.

Asoló mi vid, y descortezó mi higuera: del todo la desnudó y derribó: sus ramas quedaron blancas.

Wehklage, (o Land,) wie eine Jungfrau, die das Trauergewand angelegt hat um den Verlobten ihrer Jugend!

Llora tú como moza vestida de saco por el marido de su juventud.

Lament like a virgin girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.

Speisopfer und Trankspende bleiben dem Hause des HERRN fern; es trauern die Priester, die Diener des HERRN.

Pereció el presente y la libación de la casa de Jehová: los sacerdotes ministros de Jehová hicieron luto.

Verwüstet ist das Feld, es trauert die Flur; denn vernichtet ist das Getreide, vertrocknet der Most, verwelkt das Öl.

El campo fué destruído, enlutóse la tierra; porque el trigo fué destruído, se secó el mosto, perdióse el aceite.

The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth.

Bestürzt stehen die Ackerleute da – es jammern die Weingärtner – um den Weizen und die Gerste; denn der Ertrag des Feldes ist dahin.

Confundíos, labradores, aullad, viñeros, por el trigo y la cebada; porque se perdió la mies del campo.

Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished.

Der Weinstock ist verdorrt und der Feigenbaum verwelkt; Granate, auch Dattelpalme und Apfelbaum, alle Bäume des Feldes sind dürr: ja, zuschanden geworden ist die Freude, den Menschenkindern entschwunden!

Secóse la vid, y pereció la higuera, el granado también, la palma, y el manzano; secáronse todos los árboles del campo; por lo cual se secó el gozo de los hijos de los hombres.

The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

Legt Trauerkleidung an und wehklagt, ihr Priester! Jammert, ihr Diener des Altars! Kommt her, verbringt (auch) die Nacht im Bußgewand, ihr Diener meines Gottes! Denn Speisopfer und Trankspende bleiben dem Hause eures Gottes versagt.

Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God.

Ordnet ein heiliges Fasten an, ruft einen allgemeinen Bettag aus! Versammelt die Ältesten, alle Landesbewohner, beim Hause des HERRN, eures Gottes, und schreiet zum HERRN:

Pregonad ayuno, llamad á congregación; congregad los ancianos y todos los moradores de la tierra en la casa de Jehová vuestro Dios, y clamad á Jehová.

Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land into the house of the LORD your God, and cry unto the LORD,

»Wehe über den Tag!« Denn nahe steht der Tag des HERRN bevor, und er kommt als eine Vergewaltigung vom Allgewaltigen her.

¡Ay del día! porque cercano está el día de Jehová, y vendrá como destrucción por el Todopoderoso.

Ist nicht die Nahrung vor unsern Augen weggerafft, Freude und Jubel aus dem Hause unsers Gottes geschwunden?

¿No es quitado el mantenimiento de delante de nuestros ojos, la alegría y el placer de la casa de nuestro Dios?

Is not the meat cut off before our eyes, yea, joy and gladness from the house of our God?

Verschrumpft liegen die Samenkörner unter ihren Schollen, leer stehen die Speicher, zerfallen die Scheunen: das Getreide ist ja dahin!

El grano se pudrió debajo de sus terrones, los bastimentos fueron asolados, los alfolíes destruídos; porque se secó el trigo.

The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered.

Wie kläglich brüllt das Vieh! In voller Unruhe sind die Rinderherden, weil sie nirgends Weide haben; auch die Kleinviehherden leiden schwer.

¡Cuánto gimieron las bestias! ¡cuán turbados anduvieron los hatos de los bueyes, porque no tuvieron pastos! también fueron asolados los rebaños de las ovejas.

How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.

Zu dir, HERR, rufe ich; denn Gluthitze hat die Auen der Steppe verzehrt und Lohe allen Baumwuchs des Gefildes versengt.

A ti, oh Jehová, clamaré: porque fuego consumió los pastos del desierto, y llama abrasó todos los árboles del campo.

O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field.

Auch die wilden Tiere draußen schreien lechzend zu dir; denn die Wasserbäche sind ausgetrocknet, und Gluthitze hat die Auen der Steppe verzehrt!

Las bestias del campo bramarán también á ti; porque se secaron los arroyos de las aguas, y fuego consumió las praderías del desierto.

The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

Yes, the animals of the field pant to you, for the water brooks have dried up, and the fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.
