Jonás 1

Einst erging das Wort des HERRN an Jona, den Sohn Amitthais, folgendermaßen:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová á Jonás, hijo de Amittai, diciendo:

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

Now the LORD’s word came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

»Mache dich auf, begib dich nach der großen Stadt Ninive und kündige ihr an, daß ihr böses Tun vor mich gekommen ist!«

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, ciudad grande, y pregona contra ella; porque su maldad ha subido delante de mí.

Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me.”

Aber Jona machte sich auf den Weg, um aus dem Angesicht des HERRN hinweg nach Tharsis zu fliehen; und als er nach Joppe hinabgegangen war und dort ein Schiff gefunden hatte, das nach Tharsis fahren wollte, bezahlte er das Fahrgeld und stieg ein, um mit ihnen nach Tharsis zu fahren und so dem HERRN aus den Augen zu kommen.

Y Jonás se levantó para huir de la presencia de Jehová á Tarsis, y descendió á Joppe; y halló un navío que partía para Tarsis; y pagando su pasaje entró en él, para irse con ellos á Tarsis de delante de Jehová.

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

Da ließ der HERR einen starken Wind auf das Meer hinabfahren, so daß sich ein gewaltiges Unwetter auf dem Meer erhob und das Schiff zu scheitern drohte.

Mas Jehová hizo levantar un gran viento en la mar, é hízose una tan gran tempestad en la mar, que pensóse se rompería la nave.

But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.

Da gerieten die Leute auf dem Schiff in Angst und schrien ein jeder zu seinem Gott um Hilfe und warfen die Gerätschaften, die sich im Schiff befanden, ins Meer, um (das Schiff) dadurch zu erleichtern. Jona aber war in den Hinterraum des Schiffes hinabgestiegen, hatte sich dort niedergelegt und war fest eingeschlafen.

Y los marineros tuvieron miedo, y cada uno llamaba á su dios: y echaron á la mar los enseres que había en la nave, para descargarla de ellos. Jonás empero se había bajado á los lados del buque, y se había echado á dormir.

Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

Then the mariners were afraid, and every man cried to his god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten the ship. But Jonah had gone down into the innermost parts of the ship and he was laying down, and was fast asleep.

Da trat der Schiffshauptmann zu ihm mit den Worten: »Wie kannst du nur schlafen?! Stehe auf, rufe deinen Gott an! Vielleicht nimmt sich dieser Gott unser an, daß wir nicht untergehen.«

Y el maestre de la nave se llegó á él, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, dormilón? Levántate, y clama á tu Dios; quizá él tendrá compasión de nosotros, y no pereceremos.

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

So the ship master came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”

Dann sagten jene zueinander: »Kommt, wir wollen Lose werfen, um zu erfahren, durch wessen Schuld dieses Unglück uns trifft!« Als sie nun die Lose warfen, fiel das Los auf Jona.

Y dijeron cada uno á su compañero: Venid, y echemos suertes, para saber por quién nos ha venido este mal. Y echaron suertes, y la suerte cayó sobre Jonás.

And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

They all said to each other, “Come! Let’s cast lots, that we may know who is responsible for this evil that is on us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Da sagten sie zu ihm: »Teile uns doch mit, du, um dessenwillen dies Unglück uns widerfährt: Welches ist dein Gewerbe, und woher kommst du? Wo bist du zu Haus, und was für ein Landsmann bist du?«

Entonces le dijeron ellos: Decláranos ahora por qué nos ha venido este mal. ¿Qué oficio tienes, y de dónde vienes? ¿cuál es tu tierra, y de qué pueblo eres?

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?

Then they asked him, “Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?”

Da antwortete er ihnen: »Ich bin ein Hebräer und verehre den HERRN, den Gott des Himmels, der das Meer und das feste Land geschaffen hat.«

Y él les respondió: Hebreo soy, y temo á Jehová, Dios de los cielos, que hizo la mar y la tierra.

And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”

Da gerieten die Männer in große Furcht und sagten zu ihm: »Was hast du nur getan?« Die Männer wußten nämlich bereits, daß er sich auf der Flucht vor dem HERRN befand; denn er hatte es ihnen mitgeteilt.

Y aquellos hombres temieron sobremanera, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué has hecho esto? Porque ellos entendieron que huía de delante de Jehová, porque se lo había declarado.

Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “What have you done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Dann fragten sie ihn: »Was sollen wir mit dir machen, damit das Meer sich beruhigt und uns nicht länger bedroht?« Denn das Meer wurde immer noch stürmischer.

Y dijéronle: ¿Qué te haremos, para que la mar se nos quiete? porque la mar iba á más, y se embravecía.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?” For the sea grew more and more stormy.

Da erwiderte er ihnen: »Nehmt mich und werft mich ins Meer, damit das Meer sich beruhigt und euch nicht länger bedroht! Denn ich erkenne, daß dieser gewaltige Sturm durch meine Schuld über euch gekommen ist.«

El les respondió: Tomadme, y echadme á la mar, y la mar se os quietará: porque yo sé que por mí ha venido esta grande tempestad sobre vosotros.

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

He said to them, “Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you; for I know that because of me this great storm is on you.”

Nun strengten sich die Männer zwar an, das Schiff (durch Rudern) ans Land zu bringen, vermochten es aber nicht, weil das Meer immer ärger gegen sie tobte.

Y aquellos hombres trabajaron por tornar la nave á tierra; mas no pudieron, porque la mar iba á más, y se embravecía sobre ellos.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

Da riefen sie den HERRN an mit den Worten: »Ach, HERR! Laß uns doch nicht untergehen, wenn wir diesen Mann ums Leben bringen, und rechne uns nicht unschuldig vergossenes Blut an! Denn du bist der HERR: du hast getan, wie es dir wohlgefallen hat.«

Entonces clamaron á Jehová, y dijeron: Rogámoste ahora, Jehová, que no perezcamos nosotros por la vida de aqueste hombre, ni pongas sobre nosotros la sangre inocente: porque tú, Jehová, has hecho como has querido.

Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.

Therefore they cried to the LORD, and said, “We beg you, LORD, we beg you, don’t let us die for this man’s life, and don’t lay on us innocent blood; for you, LORD, have done as it pleased you.”

Darauf ergriffen sie Jona und warfen ihn ins Meer, und sogleich legte sich das Toben des Meeres.

Y tomaron á Jonás, y echáronlo á la mar; y la mar se quietó de su furia.

So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

So they took up Jonah and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.

Da gerieten die Männer in große Furcht vor dem HERRN; sie brachten dem HERRN ein Schlachtopfer dar und taten Gelübde.

Y temieron aquellos hombres á Jehová con gran temor; y ofrecieron sacrificio á Jehová, y prometieron votos.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

The LORD prepared a huge fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
