Jonás 1

Und das Wort JHWHs kam zu Jona, Amittais Sohn {mit den Worten}:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová á Jonás, hijo de Amittai, diciendo:

Now the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

Now the LORD’s word came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,

„Brich auf (Auf!), gehe in die große Stadt Ninive und rufe †die Anklage gegen sie, weil ihre Bosheit (bösen Taten) vor mich gekommen ist.“

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, ciudad grande, y pregona contra ella; porque su maldad ha subido delante de mí.

Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach against it, for their wickedness has come up before me.”

Doch (und) Jona brach auf, um vor JHWH nach Tarschisch zu fliehen, und ging hinab †nach Jafo. {und} Er traf auf ein Schiff, das im Begriff war, nach Tarschisch zu fahren, {und} zahlte sein Fährgeld und bestieg es, um mit ihnen nach Tarschisch zu fahren, weg von JHWH

Y Jonás se levantó para huir de la presencia de Jehová á Tarsis, y descendió á Joppe; y halló un navío que partía para Tarsis; y pagando su pasaje entró en él, para irse con ellos á Tarsis de delante de Jehová.

But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare thereof, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa, and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid its fare, and went down into it, to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD.

Aber (da) JHWH ließ einen großen Wind auf das Meer los, und es kam ein so großer Sturm über dem Meer auf, dass (und) das Schiff zu zerbrechen drohte.

Mas Jehová hizo levantar un gran viento en la mar, é hízose una tan gran tempestad en la mar, que pensóse se rompería la nave.

But the LORD sent out a great wind into the sea, and there was a mighty tempest in the sea, so that the ship was like to be broken.

But the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, and there was a mighty storm on the sea, so that the ship was likely to break up.

Da fürchteten sich die Seeleute und riefen jeder zu seinem Gott (seinen Göttern). {und} Sie warfen die Gegenstände (Ladung, Ausrüstung), die auf dem Schiff †waren, ins Meer, um †das Schiff {von ihnen} leichter zu machen. Derweil (und) war Jona hinab in den Rumpf (unter Deck) des Schiffes gestiegen, {und} hatte sich hingelegt und schlief tief und fest.

Y los marineros tuvieron miedo, y cada uno llamaba á su dios: y echaron á la mar los enseres que había en la nave, para descargarla de ellos. Jonás empero se había bajado á los lados del buque, y se había echado á dormir.

Then the mariners were afraid, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep.

Then the mariners were afraid, and every man cried to his god. They threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea to lighten the ship. But Jonah had gone down into the innermost parts of the ship and he was laying down, and was fast asleep.

Da kam der Oberste der Seeleute in seine Nähe und fragte (sprach) {zu ihm}: „Warum schläfst du? Steh auf †und rufe zu deinem Gott, vielleicht schenkt der Gott uns ja Beachtung, so dass (und) wir nicht umkommen (sterben)!“

Y el maestre de la nave se llegó á él, y le dijo: ¿Qué tienes, dormilón? Levántate, y clama á tu Dios; quizá él tendrá compasión de nosotros, y no pereceremos.

So the shipmaster came to him, and said unto him, What meanest thou, O sleeper? arise, call upon thy God, if so be that God will think upon us, that we perish not.

So the ship master came to him, and said to him, “What do you mean, sleeper? Arise, call on your God! Maybe your God will notice us, so that we won’t perish.”

Und sie sagten zueinander: „Kommt, {und} wir werfen Lose, damit (und) wir herausfinden, wie es kommt (wer daran schuld ist), dass uns so ein Unheil †geschieht!“ Und (also) sie warfen Lose und das Los fiel auf Jona.

Y dijeron cada uno á su compañero: Venid, y echemos suertes, para saber por quién nos ha venido este mal. Y echaron suertes, y la suerte cayó sobre Jonás.

And they said every one to his fellow, Come, and let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this evil is upon us. So they cast lots, and the lot fell upon Jonah.

They all said to each other, “Come! Let’s cast lots, that we may know who is responsible for this evil that is on us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Da sagten sie zu ihm: „Sag uns doch, wie es kommt, dass uns so ein Unheil †geschieht! Was †ist dein Beruf und woher kommst du? Was †ist dein Land und von welchem Volk †bist du?“

Entonces le dijeron ellos: Decláranos ahora por qué nos ha venido este mal. ¿Qué oficio tienes, y de dónde vienes? ¿cuál es tu tierra, y de qué pueblo eres?

Then said they unto him, Tell us, we pray thee, for whose cause this evil is upon us; What is thine occupation? and whence comest thou? what is thy country? and of what people art thou?

Then they asked him, “Tell us, please, for whose cause this evil is on us. What is your occupation? Where do you come from? What is your country? Of what people are you?”

Da entgegnete (sagte) er {zu ihnen}: „Ich †bin ein Hebräer und verehre (fürchte) JHWH, den Gott des Himmels, der das Meer und das Land (Festland) erschaffen hat.“

Y él les respondió: Hebreo soy, y temo á Jehová, Dios de los cielos, que hizo la mar y la tierra.

And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

He said to them, “I am a Hebrew, and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”

Da gerieten die Männer in große Furcht und sagten zu ihm: „Warum hast du das getan?“ Denn die Männer wussten, dass er ''vor JHWH'' auf der Flucht war, weil er †es ihnen erzählt hatte.

Y aquellos hombres temieron sobremanera, y dijéronle: ¿Por qué has hecho esto? Porque ellos entendieron que huía de delante de Jehová, porque se lo había declarado.

Then were the men exceedingly afraid, and said unto him, Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Then the men were exceedingly afraid, and said to him, “What have you done?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them.

Da (also) sagten sie zu ihm: „Was müssen wir mit dir tun, damit das Meer sich beruhigt †und von uns †ablässt?“ Denn das Meer stürmte immer heftiger.

Y dijéronle: ¿Qué te haremos, para que la mar se nos quiete? porque la mar iba á más, y se embravecía.

Then said they unto him, What shall we do unto thee, that the sea may be calm unto us? for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous.

Then they said to him, “What shall we do to you, that the sea may be calm to us?” For the sea grew more and more stormy.

Da sagte er zu ihnen: „Ergreift mich und werft mich ins Meer, dann wird das Meer sich beruhigen †und von euch †ablassen! Denn ich weiß, dass dieser große Sturm meinetwegen über euch †gekommen ist.“

El les respondió: Tomadme, y echadme á la mar, y la mar se os quietará: porque yo sé que por mí ha venido esta grande tempestad sobre vosotros.

And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.

He said to them, “Take me up, and throw me into the sea. Then the sea will be calm for you; for I know that because of me this great storm is on you.”

Stattdessen (und) ruderten die Männer mit aller Kraft, um zurück ans Festland zu kommen (†das Schiff zurück ... zu bringen), aber sie schafften †es nicht, denn das Meer stürmte immer heftiger auf sie ein.

Y aquellos hombres trabajaron por tornar la nave á tierra; mas no pudieron, porque la mar iba á más, y se embravecía sobre ellos.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to bring it to the land; but they could not: for the sea wrought, and was tempestuous against them.

Nevertheless the men rowed hard to get them back to the land; but they could not, for the sea grew more and more stormy against them.

Da schrien sie zu JHWH {und sprachen}: „Bitte (Ach), JHWH, wir wollen doch nicht umkommen wegen des Lebens (der Seele) dieses Mannes! {und} Rechne uns kein unschuldiges Blut an, denn ''du'', (denn du †bist) JHWH, tust (hast du getan), wie es dir gefällt (gefallen hat)!“

Entonces clamaron á Jehová, y dijeron: Rogámoste ahora, Jehová, que no perezcamos nosotros por la vida de aqueste hombre, ni pongas sobre nosotros la sangre inocente: porque tú, Jehová, has hecho como has querido.

Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man’s life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done as it pleased thee.

Therefore they cried to the LORD, and said, “We beg you, LORD, we beg you, don’t let us die for this man’s life, and don’t lay on us innocent blood; for you, LORD, have done as it pleased you.”

Da ergriffen sie Jona und warfen ihn ins Meer, und das Meer beruhigte sich von seinem Toben,

Y tomaron á Jonás, y echáronlo á la mar; y la mar se quietó de su furia.

So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.

So they took up Jonah and threw him into the sea; and the sea ceased its raging.

und die Männer gerieten in große Furcht (Ehrfurcht) vor JHWH, sodass (und) sie JHWH ein Opfer darbrachten und Gelübde ablegten.

Y temieron aquellos hombres á Jehová con gran temor; y ofrecieron sacrificio á Jehová, y prometieron votos.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly, and offered a sacrifice unto the LORD, and made vows.

Then the men feared the LORD exceedingly; and they offered a sacrifice to the LORD and made vows.

Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

The LORD prepared a huge fish to swallow up Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.
