Descendí hasta donde están las bases de las montañas que salen de lo profundo del océano. La vida se me escapaba poco a poco, y me sentía ya más muerto que vivo. Pero tú, Señor, Dios mío, me salvaste de esa situación desesperada y me permitiste seguir con vida.

Las aguas me rodearon hasta el alma, rodeóme el abismo; la ova se enredó á mi cabeza.

I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God.
