Jonás 3

Und es geschah das Wort des HERRN zum andernmal zu Jona und sprach:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová segunda vez á Jonás, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

Mache dich auf, gehe in die grofte Stadt Ninive und predige ihr die Predigt, die ich dir sage!

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, aquella gran ciudad, y publica en ella el pregón que yo te diré.

Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

Da machte sich Jona auf und ging hin gen Ninive, wie der HERR gesagt hatte. Ninive aber war eine grofte Stadt Gottes, drei Tagereisen graft.

Y levantóse Jonás, y fué á Nínive, conforme á la palabra de Jehová. Y era Nínive ciudad sobremanera grande, de tres días de camino.

Und da Jona anfing, hineinzugehen eine Tagereise in die Stadt, predigte er und sprach: Es sind noch vierzig Tage, so wird Ninive untergehen.

Y comenzó Jonás á entrar por la ciudad, camino de un día, y pregonaba diciendo: De aquí á cuarenta días Nínive será destruída.

And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

Da glaubten die Leute zu Ninive an Gott und lieften predigen, man sollte fasten, und zogen Sacke an, beide, graft und klein.

Y los hombres de Nínive creyeron á Dios, y pregonaron ayuno, y vistiéronse de sacos desde el mayor de ellos hasta el menor de ellos.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

Und da das vor den Konig zu Ninive kam, stund er auf von seinem Thron und legte seinen Purpur ab und hüllete einen Sack urn sich und setzte sich in die Asche.

Y llegó el negocio hasta el rey de Nínive, y levantóse de su silla, y echó de sí su vestido, y cubrióse de saco, y se sentó sobre ceniza.

For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Und lieft ausschreien und sagen zu Ninive aus Befehl des Koniges und seiner Gewaltigen also: Es soil weder Mensch noch Tier, weder Ochsen noch Schafe etwas kosten, und man soil sie nicht weiden noch Wasser trinken lassen;

E hizo pregonar y anunciar en Nínive, por mandado del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Hombres y animales, bueyes y ovejas, no gusten cosa alguna, no se les dé alimento, ni beban agua:

And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

und sollen Sacke um sich hüllen beide, Menschen und Tier, und zu Gott rufen heftig; und ein jeglicher bekehre sich von seinem bosen Wege und vom Frevel seiner Hande!

Y que se cubran de saco los hombres y los animales, y clamen á Dios fuertemente: y conviértase cada uno de su mal camino, de la rapiña que está en sus manos.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

Wer weiß, Gott mochte sich kehren und ihn reuen und sich wenden von seinem grimmigen Zorn, da(3> wir nicht verderben.

¿Quién sabe si se volverá y arrepentirá Dios, y se apartará del furor de su ira, y no pereceremos?

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”

Da aber Gott sah ihre Werke, dafi sie sich bekehreten von ihrem bosen Wege, reuete ihn des libels, das er geredet hatte, ihnen zu tun, und tat's nicht.

Y vió Dios lo que hicieron, que se convirtieron de su mal camino: y arrepintióse del mal que había dicho les había de hacer, y no lo hizo.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
