Jonás 3

Und das Wort Jehovas geschah zum zweiten Male zu Jona also:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová segunda vez á Jonás, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

Mache dich auf, geh nach Ninive, der großen Stadt, und rufe ihr die Botschaft aus, die ich dir sagen werde.

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, aquella gran ciudad, y publica en ella el pregón que yo te diré.

Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

Da machte sich Jona auf und ging nach Ninive, nach dem Worte Jehovas. Ninive war aber eine außerordentlich große Stadt von drei Tagereisen.

Y levantóse Jonás, y fué á Nínive, conforme á la palabra de Jehová. Y era Nínive ciudad sobremanera grande, de tres días de camino.

Und Jona begann in die Stadt hineinzugehen eine Tagereise weit, und er rief und sprach: Noch vierzig Tage, so ist Ninive umgekehrt!

Y comenzó Jonás á entrar por la ciudad, camino de un día, y pregonaba diciendo: De aquí á cuarenta días Nínive será destruída.

Und die Leute von Ninive glaubten Gott; und sie riefen ein Fasten aus und kleideten sich in Sacktuch, von ihrem Größten bis zu ihrem Kleinsten.

Y los hombres de Nínive creyeron á Dios, y pregonaron ayuno, y vistiéronse de sacos desde el mayor de ellos hasta el menor de ellos.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

Und das Wort gelangte an den König von Ninive; und er stand von seinem Throne auf und legte seinen Mantel ab, und hüllte sich in Sacktuch und setzte sich in die Asche.

Y llegó el negocio hasta el rey de Nínive, y levantóse de su silla, y echó de sí su vestido, y cubrióse de saco, y se sentó sobre ceniza.

For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Und er ließ in Ninive, auf Befehl des Königs und seiner Großen, ausrufen und sagen: Menschen und Vieh, Rinder und Kleinvieh sollen gar nichts kosten, sie sollen nicht weiden und kein Wasser trinken;

E hizo pregonar y anunciar en Nínive, por mandado del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Hombres y animales, bueyes y ovejas, no gusten cosa alguna, no se les dé alimento, ni beban agua:

And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

und Menschen und Vieh sollen mit Sacktuch bedeckt sein und sollen heftig zu Gott rufen; und sie sollen umkehren, ein jeder von seinem bösen Wege und von dem Unrecht, das in ihren Händen ist.

Y que se cubran de saco los hombres y los animales, y clamen á Dios fuertemente: y conviértase cada uno de su mal camino, de la rapiña que está en sus manos.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

Wer weiß? Gott möchte sich wenden und es sich gereuen lassen, und umkehren von der Glut seines Zornes, daß wir nicht umkommen.

¿Quién sabe si se volverá y arrepentirá Dios, y se apartará del furor de su ira, y no pereceremos?

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”

Und Gott sah ihre Werke, daß sie von ihrem bösen Wege umgekehrt waren; und Gott ließ sich des Übels gereuen, wovon er geredet hatte, daß er es ihnen tun wolle, und tat es nicht.

Y vió Dios lo que hicieron, que se convirtieron de su mal camino: y arrepintióse del mal que había dicho les había de hacer, y no lo hizo.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
