Jonás 3

Und es geschah das Wort JHWHs zu Jona zum zweiten Mal {folgendermaßen}:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová segunda vez á Jonás, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

The LORD’s word came to Jonah the second time, saying,

Stehe auf, gehe nach Ninive, der großen Stadt, und rufe ihr die Botschaft zu, die ich dir sage(n werde).

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, aquella gran ciudad, y publica en ella el pregón que yo te diré.

Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

Und Jona stand auf und ging nach Ninive, dem Wort JHWHs gemäß, aber Ninive war eine große Stadt vor (für) Gott, drei Tagesreisen †weit (lang).

Y levantóse Jonás, y fué á Nínive, conforme á la palabra de Jehová. Y era Nínive ciudad sobremanera grande, de tres días de camino.

Und Jona begann, in die Stadt hineinzugehen eine Tagesreise †weit und rief und sprach: Noch vierzig Tage, und Ninive wird umgestürzt (werden).

Y comenzó Jonás á entrar por la ciudad, camino de un día, y pregonaba diciendo: De aquí á cuarenta días Nínive será destruída.

And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

Da glaubten die Menschen von Ninive an Gott und riefen ein Fasten aus und zogen Säcke (Bußgewänder) an, von ihren Großen bis zu ihren Kleinen.

Y los hombres de Nínive creyeron á Dios, y pregonaron ayuno, y vistiéronse de sacos desde el mayor de ellos hasta el menor de ellos.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

Als (und) die Angelegenheit vor den König von Ninive kam, da erhob er sich vom Thron, löste seinen Mantel ab, bekleidete sich mit einem Sack (Bußgewand) und setzte sich in den Staub.

Y llegó el negocio hasta el rey de Nínive, y levantóse de su silla, y echó de sí su vestido, y cubrióse de saco, y se sentó sobre ceniza.

For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

The news reached the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, took off his royal robe, covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Und er ließ ausrufen und sagen über Ninive: Auf Befehl des Königs und seiner Fürsten (Großen) {folgendermaßen}: Der Mensch und der Esel, das Rind und das Kleinvieh sollen überhaupt nichts genießen, sollen nicht weiden und vom Wasser nicht trinken.

E hizo pregonar y anunciar en Nínive, por mandado del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Hombres y animales, bueyes y ovejas, no gusten cosa alguna, no se les dé alimento, ni beban agua:

And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

Da bekleideten sich mit Säcken (Bußgewändern) die Menschen und die Esel und sie riefen zu Gott mit Gewalt und ein jeder bekehrte sich von seinem bösen Weg und von der Gewalttat, die in seinen Händen ist.

Y que se cubran de saco los hombres y los animales, y clamen á Dios fuertemente: y conviértase cada uno de su mal camino, de la rapiña que está en sus manos.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

Wer weiß, †vielleicht kehrt sich {der} Gott um und er verliert die Lust (es gereut ihn) und er wird sich abwenden von seinem hitzigen Zorn und wir werden nicht zugrunde gehen.

¿Quién sabe si se volverá y arrepentirá Dios, y se apartará del furor de su ira, y no pereceremos?

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”

Da sah Gott ihre Taten, dass sie umkehrten vom bösen Weg, und es gereute Gott bezüglich des Übels, wovon er gesagt hatte, dass er es ihnen antun würde, und tat es nicht.

Y vió Dios lo que hicieron, que se convirtieron de su mal camino: y arrepintióse del mal que había dicho les había de hacer, y no lo hizo.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
