Jonás 3

Und das Wort Jehovahs geschah an Jonah zum zweitenmal, sprechend:

Y FUÉ palabra de Jehová segunda vez á Jonás, diciendo:

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying,

Stehe auf, gehe nach Niniveh, der großen Stadt und predige die Predigt, die Ich zu dir rede.

Levántate, y ve á Nínive, aquella gran ciudad, y publica en ella el pregón que yo te diré.

Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I give you.”

Und Jonah stand auf und ging nach Niniveh, nach dem Worte Jehovahs; und Niniveh war eine große Stadt vor Gott, eine Reise von drei Tagen.

Y levantóse Jonás, y fué á Nínive, conforme á la palabra de Jehová. Y era Nínive ciudad sobremanera grande, de tres días de camino.

So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey.

Und Jonah fing an, in die Stadt hineinzugehen, eine Reise von einem Tag, und rief und sprach: Noch vierzig Tage, und Niniveh wird umgekehrt.

Y comenzó Jonás á entrar por la ciudad, camino de un día, y pregonaba diciendo: De aquí á cuarenta días Nínive será destruída.

And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.

Und die Männer Ninivehs glaubten an Gott und riefen ein Fasten aus, und kleideten sich in Säcke vom Großen bis zum Kleinen derselben.

Y los hombres de Nínive creyeron á Dios, y pregonaron ayuno, y vistiéronse de sacos desde el mayor de ellos hasta el menor de ellos.

So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

Und als das Wort den König Ninivehs erreichte, da stand er auf von seinem Throne und legte seinen Mantel von sich ab, und deckte sich mit einem Sack und saß in Asche.

Y llegó el negocio hasta el rey de Nínive, y levantóse de su silla, y echó de sí su vestido, y cubrióse de saco, y se sentó sobre ceniza.

For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes.

Und ließ ausschreien und sagen in Niniveh auf Weisung des Königs und seiner Großen und sprechen: Mensch und Vieh, Rind und Kleinvieh sollen nichts schmecken, nicht weiden und kein Wasser trinken.

E hizo pregonar y anunciar en Nínive, por mandado del rey y de sus grandes, diciendo: Hombres y animales, bueyes y ovejas, no gusten cosa alguna, no se les dé alimento, ni beban agua:

And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water:

Und es sollen sich bedecken mit Säcken Mensch und Vieh, und sollen zu Gott rufen kräftiglich und zurückkehren jeder Mann von seinem bösen Weg, und von der Gewalttat, die an ihren Händen ist.

Y que se cubran de saco los hombres y los animales, y clamen á Dios fuertemente: y conviértase cada uno de su mal camino, de la rapiña que está en sus manos.

But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.

Wer weiß, ob Gott nicht zurückkehrt und es bereut und zurückkehrt von der Entbrennung Seines Zornes, daß wir nicht vergehen.

¿Quién sabe si se volverá y arrepentirá Dios, y se apartará del furor de su ira, y no pereceremos?

Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?

Who knows whether God will not turn and relent, and turn away from his fierce anger, so that we might not perish?”

Und Gott sah ihr Tun, daß sie von ihrem bösen Weg zurückkehrten; und es reute Gott des Bösen, das Er geredet hatte ihnen zu tun, und tat es nicht.

Y vió Dios lo que hicieron, que se convirtieron de su mal camino: y arrepintióse del mal que había dicho les había de hacer, y no lo hizo.

And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
