Josué 10

Or quand Adoni-tsédek, Roi de Jérusalem, eut entendu que Josué avait pris Haï, et qu’il l’avait entièrement détruite à la façon de l’interdit, ayant fait à Haï et à son Roi, comme il avait fait à Jérico et à son Roi, et que les habitants de Gabaon avaient fait la paix avec les Israélites, et étaient parmi eux ;

Y COMO Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem oyó que Josué había tomado á Hai, y que la había asolado, (como había hecho á Jericó y á su rey, así hizo á Hai y á su rey;) y que los moradores de Gabaón habían hecho paz con los Israelitas, y que estaban entre ellos;

Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;

On craignit beaucoup, parce que Gabaon était une grande ville, comme une ville Royale, et elle était plus grande que Haï ; et parce que tous ses hommes étaient forts.

Tuvieron muy gran temor; porque Gabaón era una gran ciudad, como una de las ciudades reales, y mayor que Hai, y todos sus hombres fuertes.

That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.

C’est pourquoi Adoni-tsédek, Roi de Jérusalem, envoya vers Horam Roi de Hébron, et vers Biréam, Roi de Jarmuth, et vers Japhiah, Roi de Lakis, et vers Débir, Roi de Héglon, pour leur dire :

Envió pues á decir Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem, á Oham rey de Hebrón, y á Phiream rey de Jerimoth, y á Japhia rey de Lachîs, y á Debir rey de Eglón:

Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,

Montez vers moi, et donnez-moi du secours afin que nous frappions Gabaon ; car elle a fait la paix avec Josué, et avec les enfants d’Israël.

Subid á mí, y ayudadme, y combatamos á Gabaón: porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel.

Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.

“Come up to me and help me. Let’s strike Gibeon; for they have made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.”

Ainsi cinq Rois des Amorrhéens, savoir, le Roi de Jérusalem, le Roi de Hébron, le Roi de Jarmuth, le Roi de Lakis, et le Roi de Héglon, s’assemblèrent et montèrent eux et toutes leurs armées, et se campèrent contre Gabaon, et lui firent la guerre.

Y cinco reyes de los Amorrheos, el rey de Jerusalem, el rey de Hebrón, el rey de Jerimoth, el rey de Lachîs, el rey de Eglón, se juntaron y subieron, ellos con todos sus ejércitos, y asentaron campo sobre Gabaón, y pelearon contra ella.

Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.

C’est pourquoi ceux de Gabaon envoyèrent à Josué au camp à Guilgal, en disant : Ne retire point tes mains de tes serviteurs ; monte promptement vers nous, et nous garantis, et donne-nous du secours ; car tous les Rois des Amorrhéens qui habitent aux montagnes, se sont assemblés contre nous.

Y los moradores de Gabaón enviaron á decir á Josué al campo en Gilgal: No encojas tus manos de tus siervos; sube prestamente á nosotros para guardarnos y ayudarnos: porque todos los reyes de los Amorrheos que habitan en las montañas, se han juntado contra nosotros.

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”

Josué donc monta de Guilgal, et avec lui tout le peuple qui était propre à la guerre, et tous les hommes forts et vaillants.

Y subió Josué de Gilgal, él y todo el pueblo de guerra con él, y todos los hombres valientes.

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.

Et l’Eternel dit à Josué : Ne les crains point ; car je les ai livrés entre tes mains, et aucun d’eux ne subsistera devant toi.

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos: porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos parará delante de ti.

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

The LORD said to Joshua, “Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”

Josué donc vint promptement à eux ; et monta de Guilgal toute la nuit.

Y Josué vino á ellos de repente, toda la noche subió desde Gilgal.

Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.

Et l’Eternel les mit en déroute devant Israël, qui en fit un grand carnage près de Gabaon ; et les poursuivit par le chemin de la montagne de Beth-horon, et les battit jusqu’à Hazéka, et jusqu’à Makkéda.

Y Jehová los turbó delante de Israel, é hiriólos con gran mortandad en Gabaón: y siguiólos por el camino que sube á Beth-oron, é hiriólos hasta Azeca y Maceda.

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

The LORD confused them before Israel. He killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

Et comme ils s’enfuyaient de devant Israël, et qu’ils étaient à la descente de Beth-horon, l’Eternel jeta des cieux sur eux de grosses pierres jusqu’à Hazéka, dont ils moururent ; et il y en eut encore plus de ceux qui moururent des pierres de grêle, que de ceux que les enfants d’Israël tuèrent avec l’épée.

Y como iban huyendo de los Israelitas, á la bajada de Beth-oron, Jehová echó sobre ellos del cielo grandes piedras hasta Azeca, y murieron: muchos más murieron de las piedras del granizo, que los que los hijos de Israel habían muerto á cuchillo.

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, the LORD hurled down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the children of Israel killed with the sword.

Alors Josué parla à l’Eternel, le jour que l’Eternel livra l’Amorrhéen aux enfants d’Israël, et dit en la présence d’Israël : Soleil, arrête-toi sur Gabaon, et toi Lune, sur la vallée d’Ajalon.

Entonces Josué habló á Jehová el día que Jehová entregó al Amorrheo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los Israelitas: Sol, detente en Gabaón; y tú, Luna, en el valle de Ajalón.

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”

Et le soleil s’arrêta, et la lune aussi s’arrêta, jusqu’à ce que le peuple se fût vengé de ses ennemis. Ceci n’est-il pas écrit au Livre du Droiturier ? Le soleil donc s’arrêta au milieu des cieux et ne se hâta point de se coucher environ un jour entier.

Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, hasta tanto que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos. ¿No está aquesto escrito en el libro de Jasher? Y el sol se paró en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró á ponerse casi un día entero.

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Et il n’y a point eu de jour semblable à celui-là, devant ni après, l’Eternel exauçant la voix d’un homme ; car l’Eternel combattait pour les Israélites.

Y nunca fué tal día antes ni después de aquél, habiendo atendido Jehová á la voz de un hombre: porque Jehová peleaba por Israel.

And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

Et Josué et tout Israël avec lui, s’en retourna au camp à Guilgal.

Au reste ces cinq Rois-là s’étaient enfuis, et s’étaient cachés dans une caverne à Makkéda.

And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.

Joshua was told, saying, “The five kings have been found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”

Et Josué avait dit : Roulez de grandes pierres à l’entrée de la caverne, mettez près d’elle quelques hommes pour les garder.

Entonces Josué dijo: Rodad grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, y poned hombres junto á ella que los guarden;

And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:

Joshua said, “Roll large stones to cover the cave’s entrance, and set men by it to guard them;

Mais vous, ne vous arrêtez point, poursuivez vos ennemis, et les défaites jusqu’au dernier, et ne les laissez point entrer dans leurs villes ; car l’Eternel votre Dieu les a livrés en vos mains.

Y vosotros no os paréis, sino seguid á vuestros enemigos, y heridles la retaguardia, sin dejarles entrar en sus ciudades; porque Jehová vuestro Dios los ha entregado en vuestra mano.

And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.

but don’t stay there. Pursue your enemies, and attack them from the rear. Don’t allow them to enter into their cities; for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”

Et quand Josué avec les enfants d’Israël eut achevé d’en faire une très grande boucherie, jusqu’à les détruire entièrement, et que ceux d’entr’eux qui étaient échappés se furent retirés dans les villes fermées de murailles ;

Y aconteció que como Josué y los hijos de Israel hubieron acabado de herirlos con mortandad muy grande, hasta destruirlos, los que quedaron de ellos se metieron en las ciudades fuertes.

And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.

Tout le peuple retourna en paix au camp vers Josué à Makkéda ; et personne ne remua sa langue contre aucun des enfants d’Israël.

Y todo el pueblo se volvió salvo al campo á Josué en Maceda; que no hubo quien moviese su lengua contra los hijos de Israel.

And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

Alors Josué dit : Ouvrez l’entrée de la caverne, et amenez-moi ces cinq Rois hors de la caverne.

Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.

Et ils le firent ainsi, et ils amenèrent hors de la caverne ces cinq Rois : le Roi de Jérusalem, le Roi de Hébron, le Roi de Jarmuth, le Roi de Lakis et le Roi de Héglon.

E hiciéronlo así, y sacáronle de la cueva aquellos cinco reyes: al rey de Jerusalem, al rey de Hebrón, al rey de Jerimoth, al rey de Lachîs, al rey de Eglón.

And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

Et après qu’ils eurent amené à Josué ces cinq Rois hors de la caverne, Josué appela tous les hommes d’Israël, et dit aux Capitaines des gens de guerre qui étaient allés avec lui : Approchez-vous, mettez vos pieds sur le cou de ces Rois ; et ils s’approchèrent, et mirent leurs pieds sur leur cou.

Y cuando hubieron sacado estos reyes á Josué, llamó Josué á todos los varones de Israel, y dijo á los principales de la gente de guerra que habían venido con él: Llegad y poned vuestros pies sobre los pescuezos de aquestos reyes. Y ellos se llegaron, y pusieron sus pies sobre los pescuezos de ellos.

And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

When they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, “Come near. Put your feet on the necks of these kings.” They came near, and put their feet on their necks.

Alors Josué leur dit : Ne craignez point, et ne soyez point effrayés, fortifiez-vous, et vous renforcez ; car l’Eternel fera ainsi à tous vos ennemis contre lesquels vous combattez.

Y Josué les dijo: No temáis, ni os atemoricéis; sed fuertes y valientes: porque así hará Jehová á todos vuestros enemigos contra los cuales peleáis.

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

Joshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight.”

Et après cela Josué les frappa, et les fit mourir, et les fit pendre à cinq potences ; et ils demeurèrent pendus à ces potences jusqu’au soir.

Y después de esto Josué los hirió y los mató, é hízolos colgar en cinco maderos: y quedaron colgados en los maderos hasta la tarde.

And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

Et comme le soleil se couchait Josué fit commandement qu’on les ôtât de ces potences, et on les jeta dans la caverne où ils s’étaient cachés ; et on mit à l’entrée de la caverne de grandes pierres qui y sont demeurées jusqu’à ce jour.

Y cuando el sol se iba á poner, mandó Josué que los quitasen de los maderos, y los echasen en la cueva donde se habían escondido: y pusieron grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, hasta hoy.

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.

Josué prit aussi en ce même jour Makkéda, et la frappa au tranchant de l’épée, et défit à la façon de l’interdit son Roi et ses habitants, et ne laissa échapper aucune personne qui fût dans cette ville ; et il fit au Roi de Makkéda comme il avait fait au Roi de Jérico.

En aquel mismo día tomó Josué á Maceda, y la puso á cuchillo, y mató á su rey; á ellos y á todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin quedar nada: mas al rey de Maceda hizo como había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

Après cela Josué et tout Israël avec lui passa de Makkéda à Libna, et fit la guerre à Libna.

Y de Maceda pasó Josué, y todo Israel con él, á Libna; y peleó contra Libna:

Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:

Et l’Eternel la livra aussi entre les mains d’Israël, avec son Roi, et il la frappa au tranchant de l’épée, et ne laissa échapper aucune personne qui fût dans cette ville ; et il fit à son Roi comme il avait fait au Roi de Jérico.

Y Jehová la entregó también á ella, y á su rey, en manos de Israel; y metióla á filo de espada, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, sin quedar nada: mas á su rey hizo de la manera que había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Et l’Eternel livra Lakis entre les mains d’Israël, qui la prit le deuxième jour, et la frappa au tranchant de l’épée, et toutes les personnes qui étaient dedans, comme il avait fait à Libna.

Y Jehová entregó á Lachîs en mano de Israel, y tomóla al día siguiente, y metióla á cuchillo, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, como había hecho en Libna.

And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

Alors Horam Roi de Guézer monta pour secourir Lakis ; et Josué le frappa, lui et son peuple, de sorte qu’il n’en laissa pas échapper un seul homme.

Entonces Horam, rey de Gezer, subió en ayuda de Lachîs; mas á él y á su pueblo hirió Josué, hasta no quedar ninguno de ellos.

Et ils la prirent ce jour-là même, et la frappèrent au tranchant de l’épée ; et Josué défit à la façon de l’interdit en ce même jour-là toutes les personnes qui y étaient, comme il avait fait à Lakis.

And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.

Puis Josué et tout Israël avec lui monta d’Héglon à Hébron, et ils lui firent la guerre.

And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.

Ensuite Josué et tout Israël avec lui rebroussa chemin vers Débir, et ils lui firent la guerre.

Et il la prit avec son Roi, et toutes ses villes ; et ils les frappèrent au tranchant de l’épée, et défirent à la façon de l’interdit toutes les personnes qui y étaient ; il n’en laissa échapper aucune. Il fit à Débir et à son Roi comme il avait fait à Hébron, et comme il avait fait à Libna et à son Roi.
