Josué 10

Adoni-Zedeque, rei de Jerusalém, ouviu que Josué havia capturado e destruído completamente a cidade de Ai (assim como ele havia feito com Jericó e seu rei), e ouviu que o povo de Gibeão havia feito acordo de paz com Israel e estava vivendo no meio deles.

Y COMO Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem oyó que Josué había tomado á Hai, y que la había asolado, (como había hecho á Jericó y á su rey, así hizo á Hai y á su rey;) y que los moradores de Gabaón habían hecho paz con los Israelitas, y que estaban entre ellos;

Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;

O povo de Jerusalém teve muito medo, pois Gibeão era uma cidade grande, como uma das cidades reais, e era maior que Ai, e todos os seus homens eram guerreiros fortes.

Tuvieron muy gran temor; porque Gabaón era una gran ciudad, como una de las ciudades reales, y mayor que Hai, y todos sus hombres fuertes.

That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.

Então, Adoni-Zedeque, rei de Jerusalém, enviou mensagem para Hoão, rei de Hebrom, a Pirã, rei de Jarmute, a Jafia, rei de Laquis, e a Debir, rei de Eglom, dizendo-lhes:

Envió pues á decir Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem, á Oham rey de Hebrón, y á Phiream rey de Jerimoth, y á Japhia rey de Lachîs, y á Debir rey de Eglón:

Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,

"Vinde e me ajudai. Vamos atacar Gibeão, porque fez acordo de paz com Josué e com o povo de Israel".

Subid á mí, y ayudadme, y combatamos á Gabaón: porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel.

Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.

“Come up to me and help me. Let’s strike Gibeon; for they have made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.”

Os cinco reis dos amorreus: o rei de Jerusalém, o rei de Hebrom, o rei de Jarmute, o rei de Laquis e o rei de Eglom vieram com todos os seus exércitos, posicionaram-se contra a cidade de Gibeão e a atacaram.

Y cinco reyes de los Amorrheos, el rey de Jerusalem, el rey de Hebrón, el rey de Jerimoth, el rey de Lachîs, el rey de Eglón, se juntaron y subieron, ellos con todos sus ejércitos, y asentaron campo sobre Gabaón, y pelearon contra ella.

Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.

Os gibeonitas enviaram mensagem a Josué e ao acampamento em Gilgal, dizendo: "Não retires de teus servos a tua mão. Vem rapidamente, e salva-nos. Ajuda-nos, pois todos os reis dos amorreus que moram na região montanhosa se reuniram para nos atacar".

Y los moradores de Gabaón enviaron á decir á Josué al campo en Gilgal: No encojas tus manos de tus siervos; sube prestamente á nosotros para guardarnos y ayudarnos: porque todos los reyes de los Amorrheos que habitan en las montañas, se han juntado contra nosotros.

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”

Josué partiu de Gilgal, e, junto dele, todos os homens de guerra, incluindo os seus melhores guerreiros.

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.

Yahweh disse a Josué: "Não os temas. Eu os entreguei em tuas mãos. Nenhum deles poderá parar o teu ataque".

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos: porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos parará delante de ti.

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

The LORD said to Joshua, “Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”

Depois de marchar a noite toda desde a cidade de Gilgal, Josué os atacou de surpresa.

E Yahweh confundiu os inimigos diante de Israel, que os matou em grande quantidade em Gibeão, perseguindo-os pelo caminho que sobe para Bete-Horom, matando-os até Azeca e Maqueda.

Y Jehová los turbó delante de Israel, é hiriólos con gran mortandad en Gabaón: y siguiólos por el camino que sube á Beth-oron, é hiriólos hasta Azeca y Maceda.

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

The LORD confused them before Israel. He killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

Enquanto eles fugiam de Israel, descendo a montanha de Bete-Horom, Yahweh lançou grandes pedras do céu sobre eles por todo o caminho até Azeca, e morreram. E foram mais os que morreram das pedras de granizo do que aqueles que os homens de Israel mataram à espada.

Y como iban huyendo de los Israelitas, á la bajada de Beth-oron, Jehová echó sobre ellos del cielo grandes piedras hasta Azeca, y murieron: muchos más murieron de las piedras del granizo, que los que los hijos de Israel habían muerto á cuchillo.

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, the LORD hurled down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the children of Israel killed with the sword.

Então, Josué falou a Yahweh, no dia em que Ele deu a vitória aos homens de Israel contra os amorreus. Isto é o que ele disse a Yahweh, diante de Israel: "Sol, permanece em Gibeão, e lua, no vale de Aijalom".

Entonces Josué habló á Jehová el día que Jehová entregó al Amorrheo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los Israelitas: Sol, detente en Gabaón; y tú, Luna, en el valle de Ajalón.

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”

O sol parou, também a lua parou de se mover, até a nação se vingar dos seus inimigos. Não está isso escrito no Livro de Jasar? O sol parou no meio do céu, e não se pôs por quase um dia inteiro.

Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, hasta tanto que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos. ¿No está aquesto escrito en el libro de Jasher? Y el sol se paró en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró á ponerse casi un día entero.

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

E não houve nenhum dia como esse, nem antes nem depois dele, quando Yahweh atendeu, de tal forma, a voz de um ser humano. Pois Yahweh batalhava por Israel.

Y nunca fué tal día antes ni después de aquél, habiendo atendido Jehová á la voz de un hombre: porque Jehová peleaba por Israel.

And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

Josué e todo o Israel retornaram ao acampamento em Gilgal.

E foi dito a Josué: "Foram encontrados! Os cinco reis estão escondidos na caverna de Maqueda!".

Y fué dicho á Josué que los cinco reyes habían sido hallados en una cueva en Maceda.

And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.

Joshua was told, saying, “The five kings have been found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”

Josué disse: "Arrastai grandes pedras contra a boca da caverna e colocai soldados lá para os guardar.

Entonces Josué dijo: Rodad grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, y poned hombres junto á ella que los guarden;

And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:

Joshua said, “Roll large stones to cover the cave’s entrance, and set men by it to guard them;

Não fiqueis parados! Que persigais os vossos inimigos e ataqueis os que vão ficando atrás. Não os deixeis entrar nas cidades deles, pois Yahweh, vosso Deus, já os entregou em vossas mãos".

Y vosotros no os paréis, sino seguid á vuestros enemigos, y heridles la retaguardia, sin dejarles entrar en sus ciudades; porque Jehová vuestro Dios los ha entregado en vuestra mano.

And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.

but don’t stay there. Pursue your enemies, and attack them from the rear. Don’t allow them to enter into their cities; for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”

Josué e os filhos de Israel continuaram a vencê-los em uma grande matança, até que fossem quase completamente destruídos. Apenas alguns sobreviventes que escaparam chegaram às cidades fortificadas.

Y aconteció que como Josué y los hijos de Israel hubieron acabado de herirlos con mortandad muy grande, hasta destruirlos, los que quedaron de ellos se metieron en las ciudades fuertes.

And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.

Todo o exército retornou em paz para Josué, no acampamento de Maqueda. E nenhum se atreveu a dizer uma palavra contra o povo de Israel.

Y todo el pueblo se volvió salvo al campo á Josué en Maceda; que no hubo quien moviese su lengua contra los hijos de Israel.

And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

Então, Josué disse: "Abri, vós, a boca da caverna e trazei-me aqueles cinco reis".

Fizeram como ele mandou e trouxeram da caverna os cinco reis: o rei de Jerusalém, o rei de Hebrom, o rei de Jarmute, o rei de Laquis e o rei de Eglom.

E hiciéronlo así, y sacáronle de la cueva aquellos cinco reyes: al rey de Jerusalem, al rey de Hebrón, al rey de Jerimoth, al rey de Lachîs, al rey de Eglón.

And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

E, quando trouxeram os reis a Josué, ele convocou cada homem de Israel, e disse aos comandantes dos soldados que foram para a batalha com ele: "Ponde vossos pés nos pescoços deles". Então, eles se aproximaram e puseram os pés nos pescoços dos reis.

Y cuando hubieron sacado estos reyes á Josué, llamó Josué á todos los varones de Israel, y dijo á los principales de la gente de guerra que habían venido con él: Llegad y poned vuestros pies sobre los pescuezos de aquestos reyes. And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

When they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, “Come near. Put your feet on the necks of these kings.” They came near, and put their feet on their necks.

Então, Josué lhes disse: "Não temais e nem vos abaleis. Sede fortes e corajosos. Isso é o que Yahweh fará com todos os vossos inimigos, contra os quais haveis de lutar".

Y Josué les dijo: No temáis, ni os atemoricéis; sed fuertes y valientes: porque así hará Jehová á todos vuestros enemigos contra los cuales peleáis.

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

Joshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight.”

Então, Josué feriu e matou os reis e os pendurou em cinco árvores até a tarde.

And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

Quando o sol se pôs, Josué deu ordens, e eles foram tirados das árvores onde estavam pendurados e foram lançados na caverna onde tinham se escondido. Eles colocaram grandes pedras na boca da caverna, que permanecem ali até o dia de hoje.

Y cuando el sol se iba á poner, mandó Josué que los quitasen de los maderos, y los echasen en la cueva donde se habían escondido: y pusieron grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, hasta hoy.

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.

Naquele mesmo dia, Josué tomou Maqueda e matou a todos ao fio de espada, inclusive o seu rei. Ele destruiu completamente todos os que nela havia. Não deixou nenhum sobrevivente. Ele fez com o reino de Maqueda como havia feito com o reino de Jericó.

En aquel mismo día tomó Josué á Maceda, y la puso á cuchillo, y mató á su rey; á ellos y á todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin quedar nada: mas al rey de Maceda hizo como había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

Josué e todo o Israel foram de Maqueda para Libna e lutaram contra a cidade.

Y de Maceda pasó Josué, y todo Israel con él, á Libna; y peleó contra Libna:

Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:

Yahweh também a entregou nas mãos de Israel, junto com seu rei. Josué atacou todas as pessoas que nela havia ao fio de espada. Ele não deixou nenhum sobrevivente ali e fez com o rei o mesmo que havia feito com o rei de Jericó.

Y Jehová la entregó también á ella, y á su rey, en manos de Israel; y metióla á filo de espada, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, sin quedar nada: mas á su rey hizo de la manera que había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Então, Josué e todo o Israel foram de Libna para Laquis. Eles a sitiaram e batalharam contra ela.

Yahweh deu Laquis nas mãos de Israel. Josué a tomou no segundo dia. Ele atacou, ao fio de espada, cada pessoa que estava lá, da mesma forma que ele havia feito em Libna.

And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

Horão, rei de Gezer, subiu para ajudar Laquis. Josué o atacou e também o seu exército, até que não restasse nenhum sobrevivente.

Entonces Horam, rey de Gezer, subió en ayuda de Lachîs; mas á él y á su pueblo hirió Josué, hasta no quedar ninguno de ellos.

Josué e todo o povo de Israel subiram de Eglom a Hebrom, e batalharam contra ela.

Então, Josué e todo o exército de Israel retornaram a Debir e batalharam contra ela.

Josué conquistou toda aquela terra, a região montanhosa, o Neguebe, a baixada e as encostas das montanhas. De todos os reis, ele não deixou nenhum sobrevivente. Destruiu completamente cada criatura viva, como Yahweh, o Deus de Israel, havia ordenado.

Hirió pues Josué toda la región de las montañas, y del mediodía, y de los llanos, y de las cuestas, y á todos sus reyes, sin quedar nada; todo lo que tenía vida mató, al modo que Jehová Dios de Israel lo había mandado.
