Josué 10

Or quando Adoni-Tsedek, re di Gerusalemme, udì che Giosuè avea preso Ai e l’avea votata allo sterminio, che avea trattato Ai e il suo re nel modo che avea trattato Gerico e il suo re, che gli abitanti di Gabaon avean fatto la pace con gl’Israeliti ed erano in mezzo a loro,

Y COMO Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem oyó que Josué había tomado á Hai, y que la había asolado, (como había hecho á Jericó y á su rey, así hizo á Hai y á su rey;) y que los moradores de Gabaón habían hecho paz con los Israelitas, y que estaban entre ellos;

Now it came to pass, when Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem had heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them;

fu tutto spaventato; perché Gabaon era una città grande come una delle città reali, anche più grande di Ai, e tutti gli uomini suoi erano valorosi.

Tuvieron muy gran temor; porque Gabaón era una gran ciudad, como una de las ciudades reales, y mayor que Hai, y todos sus hombres fuertes.

That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty.

Perciò Adoni-Tsedek, re di Gerusalemme, mandò a dire a Hoham re di Hebron, a Piram re di Iarmuth, a Iafia re di Lakis e a Debir re di Eglon:

Envió pues á decir Adonisedec rey de Jerusalem, á Oham rey de Hebrón, y á Phiream rey de Jerimoth, y á Japhia rey de Lachîs, y á Debir rey de Eglón:

Wherefore Adoni-zedek king of Jerusalem sent unto Hoham king of Hebron, and unto Piram king of Jarmuth, and unto Japhia king of Lachish, and unto Debir king of Eglon, saying,

“Salite da me, soccorretemi, e noi batteremo Gabaon, perché ha fatto la pace con Giosuè e coi figliuoli d’Israele”.

Subid á mí, y ayudadme, y combatamos á Gabaón: porque ha hecho paz con Josué y con los hijos de Israel.

Come up unto me, and help me, that we may smite Gibeon: for it hath made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.

“Come up to me and help me. Let’s strike Gibeon; for they have made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel.”

E cinque re degli Amorei, il re di Gerusalemme, il re di Hebron, il re di Iarmuth, il re di Lakis e il re di Eglon si radunarono, salirono con tutti i loro eserciti, si accamparono dirimpetto a Gabaon, e l’attaccarono.

Y cinco reyes de los Amorrheos, el rey de Jerusalem, el rey de Hebrón, el rey de Jerimoth, el rey de Lachîs, el rey de Eglón, se juntaron y subieron, ellos con todos sus ejércitos, y asentaron campo sobre Gabaón, y pelearon contra ella.

Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their hosts, and encamped before Gibeon, and made war against it.

Allora i Gabaoniti mandarono a dire a Giosuè, al campo di Ghilgal: “Non negare ai tuoi servi il tuo aiuto, affrettati a salire da noi, liberaci, soccorrici, perché tutti i re degli Amorei che abitano la contrada montuosa si sono radunati contro di noi”.

Y los moradores de Gabaón enviaron á decir á Josué al campo en Gilgal: No encojas tus manos de tus siervos; sube prestamente á nosotros para guardarnos y ayudarnos: porque todos los reyes de los Amorrheos que habitan en las montañas, se han juntado contra nosotros.

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying, “Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”

E Giosuè salì da Ghilgal, con tutta la gente di guerra e con tutti gli uomini segnalati per valore.

Y subió Josué de Gilgal, él y todo el pueblo de guerra con él, y todos los hombres valientes.

So Joshua ascended from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valour.

E l’Eterno disse a Giosuè: “Non li temere, perché io li ho dati in poter tuo; nessun di loro potrà starti a fronte”.

Y Jehová dijo á Josué: No tengas temor de ellos: porque yo los he entregado en tu mano, y ninguno de ellos parará delante de ti.

And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thine hand; there shall not a man of them stand before thee.

The LORD said to Joshua, “Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”

E Giosuè piombò loro addosso all’improvviso: avea marciato tutta la notte da Ghilgal.

Y Josué vino á ellos de repente, toda la noche subió desde Gilgal.

Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.

E l’Eterno li mise in rotta davanti ad Israele, che fe’ loro subire una grande sconfitta presso Gabaon, li inseguì per la via che sale a Beth-Horon, e li batté fino ad Azeka e a Makkeda.

Y Jehová los turbó delante de Israel, é hiriólos con gran mortandad en Gabaón: y siguiólos por el camino que sube á Beth-oron, é hiriólos hasta Azeca y Maceda.

And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

The LORD confused them before Israel. He killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

Mentre fuggivano d’innanzi a Israele ed erano alla scesa di Beth-Horon, l’Eterno fe’ cader dal cielo su loro delle grosse pietre fino ad Azeka, ed essi perirono; quelli che morirono per le pietre della grandinata furon più numerosi di quelli che i figliuoli d’Israele uccisero con la spada.

Y como iban huyendo de los Israelitas, á la bajada de Beth-oron, Jehová echó sobre ellos del cielo grandes piedras hasta Azeca, y murieron: muchos más murieron de las piedras del granizo, que los que los hijos de Israel habían muerto á cuchillo.

And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Beth-horon, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, the LORD hurled down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the children of Israel killed with the sword.

Allora Giosuè parlò all’Eterno, il giorno che l’Eterno diede gli Amorei in potere de’ figliuoli d’Israele, e disse in presenza d’Israele: “Sole, fermati su Gabaon, e tu, luna, sulla valle d’Aialon!”

Entonces Josué habló á Jehová el día que Jehová entregó al Amorrheo delante de los hijos de Israel, y dijo en presencia de los Israelitas: Sol, detente en Gabaón; y tú, Luna, en el valle de Ajalón.

Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”

E il sole si fermò, e la luna rimase la suo luogo, finché la nazione si fosse vendicata de’ suoi nemici. Questo non sta egli scritto nel libro del Giusto? E il sole si fermò in mezzo al cielo e non s’affrettò a tramontare per quasi un giorno intero.

Y el sol se detuvo y la luna se paró, hasta tanto que la gente se hubo vengado de sus enemigos. ¿No está aquesto escrito en el libro de Jasher? Y el sol se paró en medio del cielo, y no se apresuró á ponerse casi un día entero.

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

E mai, né prima né poi, s’è dato un giorno simile a quello, nel quale l’Eterno abbia esaudito la voce d’un uomo; poiché l’Eterno combatteva per Israele.

Y nunca fué tal día antes ni después de aquél, habiendo atendido Jehová á la voz de un hombre: porque Jehová peleaba por Israel.

And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

E Giosuè, con tutto Israele, tornò al campo di Ghilgal.

Or i cinque re eran fuggiti, e s’erano nascosti nella spelonca di Makkeda.

La cosa fu riferita a Giosuè e gli fu detto: “I cinque re sono stati trovati nascosti nella spelonca di Makkeda”.

Y fué dicho á Josué que los cinco reyes habían sido hallados en una cueva en Maceda.

And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.

Joshua was told, saying, “The five kings have been found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah.”

Allora Giosuè disse: “Rotolate delle grosse pietre all’imboccatura della spelonca, e ponetevi degli uomini per far loro la guardia;

Entonces Josué dijo: Rodad grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, y poned hombres junto á ella que los guarden;

And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:

Joshua said, “Roll large stones to cover the cave’s entrance, and set men by it to guard them;

ma voi non vi fermate; inseguite i vostri nemici, e colpite le retroguardie; non li lasciate entrare nelle loro città, perché l’Eterno, il vostro Dio, li ha dati in poter vostro”.

Y vosotros no os paréis, sino seguid á vuestros enemigos, y heridles la retaguardia, sin dejarles entrar en sus ciudades; porque Jehová vuestro Dios los ha entregado en vuestra mano.

And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.

but don’t stay there. Pursue your enemies, and attack them from the rear. Don’t allow them to enter into their cities; for the LORD your God has delivered them into your hand.”

E quando Giosuè e i figliuoli d’Israele ebbero finito d’infliggere loro una grande, completa disfatta, e quelli che scamparono si furon rifugiati nelle città fortificate,

Y aconteció que como Josué y los hijos de Israel hubieron acabado de herirlos con mortandad muy grande, hasta destruirlos, los que quedaron de ellos se metieron en las ciudades fuertes.

And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities.

tutto il popolo tornò tranquillamente a Giosuè al campo di Makkeda, senza che alcuno osasse fiatare contro i figliuoli d’Israele.

Y todo el pueblo se volvió salvo al campo á Josué en Maceda; que no hubo quien moviese su lengua contra los hijos de Israel.

And all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace: none moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

Allora Giosuè disse: “Aprite l’imboccatura della caverna, traetene fuori quei cinque re, e menateli a me”.

Entonces dijo Josué: Abrid la boca de la cueva, y sacadme de ella á estos cinco reyes.

Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those five kings unto me out of the cave.

Then Joshua said, “Open the cave entrance, and bring those five kings out of the cave to me.”

Quelli fecero così, trassero dalla spelonca quei cinque re, il re di Gerusalemme, il re di Hebron, il re di Iarmuth, il re di Lakis, il re di Eglon, e glieli menarono.

E hiciéronlo así, y sacáronle de la cueva aquellos cinco reyes: al rey de Jerusalem, al rey de Hebrón, al rey de Jerimoth, al rey de Lachîs, al rey de Eglón.

And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

E quand’ebbero tratti dalla spelonca e menati a Giosuè quei re Giosuè, chiamò tutti gli uomini d’Israele e disse ai capi della gente di guerra ch’era andata con lui: “Accostatevi, mettete il piede sul collo di questi re”. Quelli s’accostarono e misero loro il piede sul collo.

Y cuando hubieron sacado estos reyes á Josué, llamó Josué á todos los varones de Israel, y dijo á los principales de la gente de guerra que habían venido con él: Llegad y poned vuestros pies sobre los pescuezos de aquestos reyes. Y ellos se llegaron, y pusieron sus pies sobre los pescuezos de ellos.

And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

When they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, “Come near. Put your feet on the necks of these kings.” They came near, and put their feet on their necks.

E Giosuè disse loro: “Non temete, non vi sgomentate, siate forti, e fatevi animo, perché così farà l’Eterno a tutti i vostri nemici contro ai quali avete a combattere”.

Y Josué les dijo: No temáis, ni os atemoricéis; sed fuertes y valientes: porque así hará Jehová á todos vuestros enemigos contra los cuales peleáis.

And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.

Joshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for the LORD will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight.”

Dopo ciò Giosuè li percosse e li fece morire, quindi li appiccò a cinque alberi; e quelli rimasero appiccati agli alberi fino a sera.

Y después de esto Josué los hirió y los mató, é hízolos colgar en cinco maderos: y quedaron colgados en los maderos hasta la tarde.

And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.

E sul tramontar del sole, Giosuè ordino che fossero calati dagli alberi e gettati nella spelonca dove s’erano nascosti; e che all’imboccatura della caverna fossero messe delle grosse pietre, le quali vi son rimaste fino al dì d’oggi.

Y cuando el sol se iba á poner, mandó Josué que los quitasen de los maderos, y los echasen en la cueva donde se habían escondido: y pusieron grandes piedras á la boca de la cueva, hasta hoy.

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, that Joshua commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, which remain until this very day.

In quel medesimo giorno Giosuè prese Makkeda e fece passare a fil di spada la città e il suo re; li votò allo sterminio con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non ne lasciò scampare una, e tratto il re di Makkeda come avea trattato il re di Gerico.

En aquel mismo día tomó Josué á Maceda, y la puso á cuchillo, y mató á su rey; á ellos y á todo lo que en ella tenía vida, sin quedar nada: mas al rey de Maceda hizo como había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Joshua took Makkedah on that day, and struck it with the edge of the sword, with its king. He utterly destroyed it and all the souls who were in it. He left no one remaining. He did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho.

Poi Giosuè con tutto Israele passò da Makkeda a Libna, e l’attaccò.

Y de Maceda pasó Josué, y todo Israel con él, á Libna; y peleó contra Libna:

Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:

E l’Eterno diede anche quella col suo re nelle mani d’Israele, e Giosuè la mise a fil di spada con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non ne lasciò scampare una, e trattò il re d’essa, come avea trattato il re di Gerico.

Y Jehová la entregó también á ella, y á su rey, en manos de Israel; y metióla á filo de espada, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, sin quedar nada: mas á su rey hizo de la manera que había hecho al rey de Jericó.

And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.

Poi Giosuè con tutto Israele passò da Libna a Lakis; s’accampò dirimpetto a questa, e l’attaccò.

Y Josué, y todo Israel con él, pasó de Libna á Lachîs, y puso campo contra ella, y combatióla:

And Joshua passed from Libnah, and all Israel with him, unto Lachish, and encamped against it, and fought against it:

E l’Eterno diede Lakis nelle mani d’Israele, che la prese il secondo giorno, e la mise a fil di spada, con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano, esattamente come avea fatto a Libna. Allora Horam, re di Ghezer, salì in soccorso di Lakis;

Y Jehová entregó á Lachîs en mano de Israel, y tomóla al día siguiente, y metióla á cuchillo, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, como había hecho en Libna.

And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that were therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.

ma Giosuè batté lui e il suo popolo così da non lasciarne scampare alcuno.

Entonces Horam, rey de Gezer, subió en ayuda de Lachîs; mas á él y á su pueblo hirió Josué, hasta no quedar ninguno de ellos.

La presero quel medesimo giorno e la misero a fil di spada. In quel giorno Giosuè votò allo sterminio tutte le persone che vi si trovavano, esattamente come avea fatto a Lakis.

Poi Giosuè con tutto Israele salì da Eglon ad Hebron, e l’attaccarono.

Subió luego Josué, y todo Israel con él, de Eglón á Hebrón, y combatiéronla;

And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought against it:

La presero, la misero a fil di spada insieme col suo re, con tutte le sue città e con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano; non ne lasciò sfuggire una, esattamente come avea fatto ad Eglon; la votò allo sterminio con tutte le persone che vi si trovavano.

Y tomándola, la metieron á cuchillo, á su rey y á todas sus ciudades, con todo lo que en ella había vivo, sin quedar nada: como habían hecho á Eglón, así la destruyeron con todo lo que en ella había vivo.

And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein.

Poi Giosuè con tutto Israele tornò verso Debir, e l’attaccò.

La prese col suo re e con tutte le sue città; la misero a fil di spada e votarono allo sterminio tutte le persone che vi si trovavano, senza che ne scampasse una. Egli trattò Debir e il suo re come avea trattato Hebron, come avea trattato Libna e il suo re.

Y tomóla, y á su rey, y á todas sus villas; y metiéronlos á cuchillo, y destruyeron todo lo que allí dentro había vivo, sin quedar nada: como había hecho á Hebrón, así hizo á Debir y á su rey; y como había hecho á Libna y á su rey.

And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king.

Giosuè dunque batté tutto il paese, la contrada montuosa, il mezzogiorno, la regione bassa, le pendici, e tutti i loro re; non lasciò scampare alcuno, ma votò allo sterminio tutto ciò che avea vita, come l’Eterno, l’Iddio d’Israele, avea comandato.

Hirió pues Josué toda la región de las montañas, y del mediodía, y de los llanos, y de las cuestas, y á todos sus reyes, sin quedar nada; todo lo que tenía vida mató, al modo que Jehová Dios de Israel lo había mandado.
